"I’ll be meeting this week with Floyd’s adviser (Al Haymon) and we will start having conversations," Schaefer told Kim. "I know that Floyd is the kind of fighter who doesn’t turn down anyone.
"He’s always fought anyone and everyone and I know that with 'Canelo,' that’s the fight he really wants. So we’ll just have to see if we put it together. But I'll be working on that. That’s my number one priority."
Looks like it's on:boxing:
You have got to be ****ting me. What do Lopez and Floyd have in common?
Exactly. You don't throw combos against Floyd because you get countered by stinging shots.
Lol, ignore mathed, bro.
Do you realize what your saying? I suspect this will be a lot of people (including you) if they do indeed fight and mayweather makes him look like 98% of the other people he's fought.
and for the record, Canelo himself said mayweather wanted the fight last year and canelo team said they weren't ready. It was on bs somewhere where when canelo was saying floyd backed out of his verbal agreement
Yup, Floyd strikes again! One type of fighter that Floyd picks on are the green ones. He loves those type of opponents.
One year is not enough for young Canelo. He needs a couple of more fights and then if he looks good and has resolved his stamina issues, he can take on Floyd in 2014 ...... because Canelo can't wait too much more because then Floyd may take another one of his vacations/retirements ..... permanently.
So what happened in all of his other fights? Take the Lopez one or example, he broke dude down and KO'd him with vicious combination punching.

if the fights made I don't want people to switch up from mayweather ducking canelo to he's fighting a green bum.
I am already switched !
Alvarez is green indeed , but he is not a bum . he has a future
Yes and u cannot expect or make a fighter change their fight style or approach in one fight. It doesn't work that way, its easy to say. But once they get in that ring, all of the old habits and muscle memory will kick in, anyone who boxes knows this. In fact your prime example should be Ricky Hatton in the pacquiao fight. Canelo isn't gonna suddenly become a pressure fighter who cuts off the ring and throws hundreds of punches. It aimt gonna happen.

Maywesther was only able to move? Lol. Smh u are very delusional about Floyds skills.
You explain then bro, why did he stand in front of his opponent for the first 2-3 rounds?
Why didn't he move against Cotto who had him on the ropes for much of the fight and smashed his nose?
Not only that, u say Guerrero hit Floyd, sure with what tho? Nothing that landed cleanly to the face and a few body shots.
Watch it again. The limited Guerrero landed a number of good punches (a lot gave him R.2), the same punches from Canelo (to the body or head) are going to have a different impact.
Doesn't Canelo need Floyd, what were the numbers for Canelo vs trout how many tickets sold etc? Doesn't Canelo think he's this monster star. What were the numbers to his last fight yeah I thought so. And when Mayweather boxes circles around him don't say ish.
He doesn't need to cut off the ring, Mayweather was only able to move once Guerrero tired and absorbed punishment, before that it was toe-to-toe (check the first couple of rounds and the commentators mentioning Floyd's flat-footedness). He won't need to throw hundreds of punches either, he has high connect accuracy - pushing double Trout's when they fought and some serious power behind them.
What he does need to do is get in Mayweather's face early on and land some hard punches like he did against Matthew Hatton. If he is aggressive he can do a Mosley (R.2) on Floyd. Guerrero landed some good shots early on, and he is a lot slower and lighter punching than Alvarez.
Maywesther was only able to move? Lol. Smh u are very delusional about Floyds skills. Don't let hate cloud your judgment. Guerrero didn't tire in one or two rounds. Smh if that's the basis of your post u should seriously think about revising it. Not only that, u say Guerrero hit Floyd, sure with what tho? Nothing that landed cleanly to the face and a few body shots. Saying he needs to land on mayweather like he did on Hatton and Mosley, who stood right in front of him because they had no choice, is asking a great bit. Because frankly. It isn't gonna happen. Without a jab, which canelo doesn't use, he will have a hard time landing anything unless mayweather chooses to stand in front of him.

It's called a gameplan bro, different plans for different opponents.
No trainer worth his salt is going to have Canelo go out there, shell up and wait for Mayweather to come to him. The order will be to pressure Mayweather.

He waited for a feather fisted trout to come to him. That's his style. Just accept it. Fighters don't change overnight. Canelo isn't gonna come out and just start throwing against the most defensively brilliant fighter in the last 20 years.

I highly doubt he's going to wait for Mayweather to come to him.

It's their job as Flowmosexuals to not want him to fight legit threats.
Then they say how Floyd clearly whoops their ass, and how unmeaningful the fight is, and continue on to defend fights like Guerrero/Ortiz/Alexander.
They're literally like 7 year old kids who threaten other kids
take away their toys if they don't do what they want.
"stop asking for this fight, or else your idol will get beat..."
Have never seen such childish behavior in an adult site.
hehe... been fun clowning these clowns.
:unitedsta
Lol, doubt it. Canelo is a notoriously slow starter himself and hes not a pressure fighter. Hes wait till I get the petfect shot type of fighter, and that will hurt him severely in this fight. Its really not that easy. And if u examine how both fighters fight, this fights stacks up highly in favor of Floyd,
I highly doubt he's going to wait for Mayweather to come to him.

What a ridiculous post, when you're calling someone a "Flowmosexuals" your credibility is lost in an instant, not saying you had any to begin with, you no name scrub.
