I believe this to be fiction..I think Khans potential has always been high, but he's not the money guy by way of his performance in the ring..What's the feelings on this??
Yes , he got the UK..
Barclays Center in brooklyn is new arena so you can't give Danny Garcia & Kid Chocolate all the credit so selling that place out people just want to see the new arena..
Most of Khans revenue comes from England he doesn't have extraordinary drawing power in ticket sales or tv viewers here in the states, i respect him for coming here to fight the best when he could have stayed in England and fought local guys in sold out arena's there
Comparing Diaz to Erik Morales :lol1:
Khans the money man remember it really should not matter who he fights ??Right?? He should always draw well..Which in the states is not the case for him..
There are plenty of facts that shows Khan makes more $$$, you comparing tune up fights against world title fights and even then still having no evidence to back up your claim makes your argument weak.
You just provided the facts, tune up/rebuilding fights compared to world title fights..Nuff said..
British Pakistani professional boxer, Amir Khan has a net worth of $23 million (£15m) as of May 2012, according to the Sunday Times UK Rich List. The Bolton-born fighter remains the youngest British Olympic boxing medallist, winning silver at Athens in 2004 when he was 17. He won the WBA light-welterweight title aged 22 and spends much of his time in Los Angeles, where he is trained by Freddie Roach and has an apartment. His main business partner is Golden Boy Promotions and he also have a good association with Home Box Office, the prime mover in televising fights. Khan commands more than £1m per fight, plus a share of TV rights. He spent £1m opening the Gloves Community Centre and boxing gym in Bolton.
I am sure it has increased now rather then decrease.
I'm claiming this because countless others have made this statement with no evidence to back their claim up..So I'm just following suit, only thing people do is talk about the past..Why because Khan is not in the same place he was before..What does he make right now a fight with showtime?? Nobody knows, wanna know why?? Because it's not beneficial for is to know..Cause it not what he was making before..
It's everyone job to provide facts, sadly on this matter there really are very few..Why do you think that is hmm..

You're the one claiming he isn't, you're the one that needs provide the evidence to back up your claims, but wait you have none........

So you can provide the numbers for Khan last two fights?? Because that will end this discussion..

Any regional fighter could sell out a stadium but the real test is the U.S. television market; Which is the largest boxing market in the world. Boxing events overseas draw the lion share of their audiences and revenues at their live gates. As opposed to the states where most of the boxing revenue is generated through television; Such as Pay Per View, Closed Circuit Television, or Premium Cable Television like Showtime and HBO. If that's the yardstick, then whether or not he is the money man in division is debatable.
However, one thing is certain he does tend to get a bigger push from the major U.S. networks than other fighters around the 140 lb division.
This, he gets the push because of his potential..But money man at this point is very debatable..
How is it common sense you idiot, Khan was making millions in the UK before he had a fight in America. Purses and TV revenue are rarely released to the public over here, those numbers that have been posted in the past are money he makes from the US not including the UK. Khan is by far a bigger draw that's common sense, that's why it's a common opinion. :dead1:

How much does Khan get a fight now?? Why did we know this info before but not more?? Oh it's commonsense that Garcia made more then Khan in their last two fights..

Khan is the money man cuz he brings a lot to the table. He a one man superstar, with khan u get a bit of fighting a bit of running and he always finishes his show with a bit of dancing. What more could a paying fan want.
Comparing the drawing power of a Mexican legend to that of Diaz, you really are reaching. You have nothing to back your opinion on Garcia etc earning more than Khan, this thread is a massive fail.

Garcia would make more then Khan in a rematch between them as well..
That's been the point, but ya reading comprehension is off..Khan is not in the same place he once was..Of course GBP is going to keep him in the mix, it's smart business and always a chance(Khan could improve) he lives up to his potential..

lol missed the point? The point goes against your agenda, so suddenly the point of the post is that he's been set back?

The opponent obviously affects the money earned. How much would Garcia make fighting Diaz? Would it sell 12,000 tickets?
Garcia did really well on the easy coast against Morales who was shot to bits..
