Roy jones started at 154. If he was there in his prime and fought Floyd. How would you see a fight with him and Floyd playing out? For the sake of discussion let's say it happened to be a weight Roy stayed at comfortably and the match was made
Stupid question. Roy could never have made 154 in his prime first of all. More imortantly its downright unfair to take a weightclass one fighter wad huge at, too big to fight at in his prime only to pit him against a guy who doesnt belong at the weight because hes too small. If you were to compare floyd to a 154lb RJJ it would have to be a p4p comparison to floyd at 130.
You cant give roy the advantage of youth being able to be huge at the weight while maintaining the experience he got with age and take away floyds only advantage of making weight comfortably and pretend its a fair or even reasonable matchup.
He's basically asking who would win, the best version of Roy Jones Jr vs the worst version of Floyd Mayweather Jr lol.
Floyd is a top 15 ATG. Roy Jones is like......top 50. With that being said RJJ is THE GREATEST BOXER TO EVER LACE ON A PAIR OF GLOVES. He beats anyone that ever existed in his prime. Anyone. Ever.

RJJ wins that fight, not as decisively as his win over Toney but similar type of fight
Roy by death, murder, kill
This guy said it best, Roy by death! I always say Vernon Forrest would have stopped Floyd as well. Forrest operated beautifully behind his jab and Roy well Roy would have just punished him all together. I still cringe when I replay the Montell Griffith rematch.
If Floyd fought in the era of Duran and Leonard he likely would have stayed at lightweight and maybe been one of the best defensive lightweights of that era. Back then that was the "No Where to Hide Era"
Why not? neither guy were prime at 154. Not even close
Neither was but May did win a title at the weight and his experience applies...from a skill, speed, and curiosity standpoint I would be intrigued to see to greats. Roy wasn't near his prime and that would negate some advantages per size....in very intrigued....you don't even wanna know other fights that intrigue me
Roy at 154 was a MONSTER, Mayweather is WAY too small to even consider it being competitive. Roy was faster, bigger and way stronger and so unorthodox and unpredictable Mayweather would not have any advantage at all and would not be able to time Roy, and the first time Roy connected its goodnight
Why not? I'm a fight fan and Roy started at 154. Im sure you have seen his Olympic fights...pretty much fought the same and had insane ability and pedigree

Roy never really fought at 154. Not at the world class level anyways. Why eben bring this up?
