Khan beats Mayweather later on this year in his next fight, Khan instantly get elevated to the number 1 p4p spot? Unlikely Khan beats him but if he pulls off a huge upset is he the head honcho in the p4p rankings..?
In other words... does beating Mayweather instantly make you p4p #1?
The fight won't happen. During the press conference Khan will knock himself into a coma for a year when he accidentally taps himself on the chin with the microphone when tries to speak into it.
The soundwaves running through his ears will knock him off balance

If he beats Floyd if.
No, beating Floyd wont make you no1, as many dont think Floyd is no1, and anyone can lose on any given day really if they fight regularly enough.
Beating Floyd dont mean you wont lose your next fight to a bum. DLH lost very soon after taking floyd to the split decision, and Cotto lost after giving Floyd a tough fight. So did Hatton, and Castillo didnt go on much longer as well.
Yeah? Who are these "many" that you speak of??
Khan needs to put a few big wins together before he gets into the ring with Mayweather. I'd like to see the winner of Khan and Bradley take on Mayweather. I also think it would be cool if Floyd took the fight over there and gave his and Khan's fans what they deserve. Would be cool from a historical perspective also if it were in England at an outside stadium. But unless Khan continues to lose, I think we'll definitely see that fight down the line.

No
Cos like you said it's a huge upset. It would make him the champ because thats how it works but P4P rankings are different
On any given Sunday anybody can beat anybody else. But if they fight 10 times you know that one of the fighters would win the other 9
Easy way to look at it. Has Khan loomed remotely like a P4P no.1 in recent times (against Peterson, Garcia or Diaz)? There's your answer.
Khan's belief (and that of his fans) is being fed to make a payday. Pretty much like Hatton's were and Guerrero's too. Still you'll yet the same element of fools that will accuse Mayweather of being afraid of said fighter until beats them. Then que the excuses......
Why do you say when he beats Mayweather this year? If Floyd fihts Khan in September after Khan looked so pathetic fighting hand picked softie, Diaz it would be shameful. Khan has no chance of beating Mayweather. You should have said IF he fights him and IF by a miracle he beats him would he be pfp. #1? I voted no. A win over Mayweather would not change the fact that Khan is not very good. He would not instantly get credit for beating all the good fighters Mayweather beat.
How is it even possible when Khan himself, has stated that he won't be in action again this year until the Month of December? By then Floyd would have already fought his September opponent.

isn't that why your boy hatton fought Mayweather and Pacquiao (besides the payday).. remember hatton was always talking about being p4p#1 by beating floyd or pac who were joint p4p number 1 at the time
Yeah, he did. I think Hatton had kind of put himself into that top 5 bracket (or at least top 10) whereby he needed to knock off one of the top 3 to become No.1. Khan right now isn't in that position.
I think Khan would be elevated into the PFP list but probably from 6-10, he's not currently on the lists but the people who compile them for ESPN/RING etc aren't going to forget his recent bout with Garcia and general struggles with punch resistance.
So yeah, that was my long-winded way of saying I don't think beating Mayweather makes you No.1 if you're not already high up the list. They would probably slide Ward or Marquez in there.

Sometimes I am left just scratching my head....I'm speechless!
beating ole cherrypicker is no biggie
Khan would move into #3 behind Garcia and Prescott
