I want Spence but got Crawford. If that makes sense
It does, it is the opposite for me.
Crawford is the more talented boxer, but it may not be enough against a solid, tough and bigger guy in Spence.
Funny how Bud fans are so defensive about this fight happening. “He’s not on his level,” ok well the kid is game and Bud needs a new exciting opponent. Perfect fight to make but Bud fans don’t want it.
PBC and Boots' team don't want it, they want to build a star.
This wont be Boots beeing outboxed by the more skilled man and then moving on with his career. He would be brutaly KO'ed and the consequences are no joke.
Check the video of Crawford calling out Boots bluff and making him look like an idiot.
20 fights and 2 times world champion, he is doing fine.
He and and Loma will probably be fighting for belts now that Haney is moving up, and after that they can make a huge unifacation fight.
TR also has some names at 140.
Haney doesn't have the most captivating style, so I am not surprised that he isn't a big draw. If he capitalizes on the public's disdain for him like Mayweather did he might be in the future, though I am not sure if he has the mental fortitude to withstand the ongoing criticism.
Mayweather had a lot of charisma and likeable moments even playing the bad guy, Haney not the slightest.
Also skillwise they are two worlds apart. Mayweather was outboxing bigger guys, Haney is not even looking good against smaller fighters.
Haney will never do Mayweather numbers just by beeing unlikeable.
I don't think neither Bud or Spence are ducking.
Al tried to con Crawford, he though that without a promoter he could take advantage of him.
The PBC is happy with this fight not happening.
Ryan isn't soon mooving up, his last two fights were at 140.
He is not a lightweight anymore, they are selling him as one to avoid match ups with the big boys.
7-5 Loma easy to score. He won the second and the last 6, plus he won his rounds much clearer.
Rewatch last round in slowmo, Loma outlanded Teo by far.
But the commentary team was extremely biased and people bought it. Old Bob doing his thing.
Well we got four from the list + Teo - Taylor and Canelo - Charlo ist not bad.
Overall a very good year, Fury - Usyk being the biggest let down.
Still time for other good fights to take place in 2023 like Inoue - Tapales or Haney - Prograis.
