That is good for a fight that should have not been on PPV. This was Haney's first PPV and Loma is just not much of a draw.

He just bought it, he paid $300K. It won't go up in value at the rate of a Rolex. Rolex has seen a surge because they became an exclusive brand, You have to get on a waiting list to but certain models now and they limited production. Regardless, if you are only worth $5 million, a $300K watch is not a smart purchase. I'm pretty sure he probably bought a Lambo or Ferrari as well. If his career ended tomorrow he'd be in a panic and taking a loss on these depreciating assets. He is never going to make Mayweather, Canelo, or even Fury money, and he will need to navigate his career very carefully to get the most bang for his buck. Another aspect is nationalism. Ukraine isn't a big boxing demographic, especially during a war. Fighters like Canelo and Marquez have no charisma or personality but are very successful with the Mexican fanbase which is huge. They also fought big names that helped to elevate their own names in the sport. Haney needs to decide which is more important, legacy or money. If it's money, he'll need to start looking at fights with Ryan Garcia, Tank, Rollie, or the winner of Taylor/Lopez. Maybe be willing to fight overseas more, like he did in Australia. U.K. is a big market for boxing.

Subtract taxes, trainer and manger fees, and the $400k fine for shoving Loma at the weigh-in and Haney will be lucky to clear $2 million for the biggest fight of his career. Obviously not. The two best at 135 just fought for the undisputed title and it flopped. Tank and Garcia are not the best, and they sold over a million. I wonder who Spence/Crawford will do in July. With the gate financially it’s possible that fight made money.
