Bud vs. Boots will tell us the whole story

Now I want to see Bud vs. Boots get convinced that Crawford is what we saw last night; a wrecking ball that makes an undisputed world champion look like a cab driver. For me, until last night, Boots Ennis was the best 147 pounder but now I see that as a 50/50 fight. Ennis is a young, fresh, fast, durable, and skilled fighter that Im sure will test Crawford like nobody before and he has a higher chance of an upset. Well...unfortunately for us, last night's fight wasn't what he expected and on the contrary, it resulted in a one-sided ass-whooping. Crawford was marvelous and deserves all the credit for what he accomplished, however after further analysis of the fight I have come to the conclusion that Spence wasn't "The Truth" he was "The After Truth" After the car accident, I got the feeling that he wasn't the same anymore and it took last night's fight for me to confirm it. He beat 35yo Ugas who was in position for that fight after fighting and beating a retiring 42yo Pacquiao. So, last night teach more about what Spence Jr. wasn't than what Bud Crawford is but hopefully that answer comes soon enough in a fight against rising star Jeron Boots Ennis. I get your point but I dont think Crawford needs to beat Boots to solidify his spot at ww.

Bud fans should want to see this fight. I don't think we'll ever see Bud vs Jermell, as I don't see Jermell returning to 154 after Canelo, despite what he says.

At this point in time if a Bud/Boots fight gets made I will be watching. Unless Crawford goes up in weight and fights Charlo or Tszyu there are not many credible opponents for him at this point.

Your first problem was thinking Boots, a guy who's done nothing yet, was better than 2 proven fighters in Spence and Crawford. Excuses for Spence huh? He was fine the other fights but now that he got the brakes beat off him, he was washed or done from other factors? Nah, give crawford his respect, Spence could never beat him. Spence fought every fight the same way, and it doesn't work against Bud style, he's too versatile. Boots would get wrecked by Crawford, let that guy beat some better fighters first before you crown him some mythical world beater.

We all know spence should not be fighting at this weight anymore, just look how weak and tired he looked. His punches had no effect, crawford looked fresh and you could tell the weight was in his favor. Then you have these so called fans giving crawford props and talk about how great this fight was. This fight was sad and it truly showed how dead the sport is..I mean Bud will beat anyone as long as the opponent is drained and once fight night comes he's fresh and awake while the opponent is just trying to stay alive lol

Very debatable but Ennis is more athletic and his defense seems to be a tad bit more sharper. His defence looks poor Look how often he gets caught flush because he pulls his chin out high in a straight line Good luck doing that v Crawford, it'll be a short night.

Looking at some of the comments where the bud haters are discrediting spence all of a sudden i think they would definitely discredit ennis record calling him an untested hype job if bud wins Personally i like this fight next for Crawford, ennis brings a good skill set to the table

It is the only logical fight for Crawford right now. Boots is another undefeated black American KO artist , this s.hit would sell. It is better than Charlo coming from a loss to Canelo, for sure. I just feel sorry for Ortiz jr. right now. If he ever comes back to fight, he will have to deal with Mendoza, Tzsyu and other non-popular dangerous opponents at 154 instead of fighting Bud for all 147 belts.

Bud doesn't need to prove himself? Not what the narrative was before. Now beating one inactive, post car crash guy who was stylistically absolutely made for him and he has nothing more to prove? They both have a lot to prove against each other. Until I see them vs each other I am absolutely not convinced either is even the damn best in their division.

Bud is a great fighter, he looked excellent but they need to stop with this sickening overhype just because they talked it up like it was a 50/50. Its a good win, Crawford looked fantastic, that is it. You only have to say ''he proved me wrong he is the real deal'' rather than automatically dismissing future opponents and if you picked Spence why should anyone listen to your opinion on who is a worthy opponent or not? Through the whole build up I don't think I heard one person question Spences ability vs southpaws, as a fan of the sport that concerns me. They was just so caught up in IF Spence can apply pressure. Volume pressure fighters never do well vs counterpunchers. They act like they don't want to discredit Bud yet these same guys have discredited him for 30 odd fights! We need to see this fight, Boots is right there if not him then who? Charlo who is tied up with Canelo? That is realistically at least a yr away from becoming reality. This is two REAL elites at their PEAK! The speed, the power, the athleticism, the skill its unrivalled in any division in boxing. We've not seen Crawfords best even, you'll only ever see it when you have a guy like Boots in there who makes him have to raise his game not fight well within his comfort zone. Someone who can give him different looks and match him in most if not every area.

Boots needs a few more fights and for Crawford to be a few years older. That's just what I'm thinking now though. If Boots steps up after seeing what he just saw happen, maybe there's more to him than I'm giving him credit for. Well well bootsie is 26 and he's reaching his physical prime who knows at this point

Without Mayweather and Pacquiao there's nobody left at 147 who can really push Crawford. 154 should be the final destination in his career. The Champions in that weight class will push him to his limits.
