I agree Paul does deserve better but it's gonna fall on a weekday lunchtime slot, probably going head to head with the likes of the Great British Christmas Bake Off or whatever (I had to look that up BTW - I don't really watch TV.:lol1:). Add to which Butler ain't on most casuals' radar at all. Broadcasters ain't gonna buy a fight there's no audience for. Kinahan angle probably doesn't help either. Only people who'd watch are a tiny minority of boxing obssesives who happen to either be retired, unemployed, off-shift or able to pick their hours.
Butler definitely deserves more, the fact that he didn't duck this fight to hold his title hostage and jumped at the chance to face Inoue for undisputed deserves respect. Absolute joke there'll be no UK TV coverage.
The involvement of Probellum
Sky still have Macklin on commentary who basically founded MTK Global or MGM as it was originally called. They’re putting Taylor on PPV in March who’s openly stated he’s worked with Kinahan. I’d understand if it was zero tolerance to Kinahan connected fighters/personnel but it evidently isn’t.
Paul has a deal with Probellum but they’re not even promoting this event. It’s being promoted by a Japanese promoter along with Top Rank. Probellum aren’t even actively involved to my knowledge. Paul deserves better.
