Yeah I was saying to Koba last night he was a poor mans version of Jeff Lacy. I had a decent bet on Hopkins to beat him, 6/4 he was. Even at 48, I knew he’d box circles around him. You’re bang on, absolutely correct. I know the odds were 6/4 because I had £5000 on it myself. If I had more balls I’d have bet my whole bank account on it. To me, Hopkins being an underdog against Tavoris Cloud was the most sure fire, 100% guaranteed free money I’ve ever seen.

Waste of time, everyone knows the Brit has no hope of beating Artur/Bivol. Just give as Artur/Bivol while Artur is still in his 30s please.

I think they did remove Cloud after that embarrassingly one-sided loss to Stevenson Bear in mind he was coming off a shutout loss to Hopkins and practically a shutout loss to Campillo where they robbed him. So as good as three losses. Even his win against Yusuf Mack before that he was losing before he pulled out the KO. They dont have to force bivol. If canelo says he wants bivol next. Then bivol will fight canelo next. If canelo duck the rematch then it's on to the next I know that but Bivol been saying recently that he is not interested and he wants Undisputed with Betebiev and then now this happens

Beterbiev fighting Smith is actually more legit than Canelo draining Bivol down to 168. Prove me wrong.

Cloud and Campillo were both ranked top 10 by Ring in the past. So they actually both have 5. Bivol might actually have 6 cause I’d guess Chilemba was top 10 at some point. Campillo was ranked top 10 when Artur beat him, he was coming off an upset win over Thomas Williams Jr. Cloud possibly was too, he was coming off a loss to Stevenson but I don’t think Ring would have demoted him out of the top 10 for that. As for making him a bigger star, maybe in the UK, but in the context of world boxing I don’t think wins over Yarde and Smith do that much for him. I don’t think it makes Beterbiev vs Bivol any more interesting. Both Campillo and Cloud were former world champions (in fact Campillo was blatantly robbed vs Cloud which is how Tavoris got his title) but both were past their best by the time they fought Artur. And yeah Chilemba absolutely was top 10 for a good while... I'd personally put Isaac roughly on a par with Campillo and both slightly above Cloud. Bivol and Beterbiev really ain't that far apart although I'd rate Gvozdyk as the best win between em, it's just Bivol is the dude of right now, made people sit up and take notice this year... got that recency bias thing going on. I’m sure Cloud won the title against Clinton Woods you know mate. I was a bit of a Woods fan back in the day and his last fight was against Cloud for the vacant IBF title. Think Tarver or Dawson had vacated. Cloud was like a poor mans Jeff Lacy, very one dimensional, I remember getting 6/4 on Hopkins to beat him, which was an absolute steal. Agree on Bivol and Beterbiev, two top quality fighters, I don’t really have a horse in the race I just want to see them fight.

Not a big deal - the WBC would allow a unification. Might have to grease a few palms but it's not a roadblock. Arum implied recently he'd let Beterbiev go to DAZN for the unification fight. Didn't say it outright but suggested he'd allow it. I think it's very likely the fight happens.
