As a massive fan of Lucas I am delighted to see him back and also training in America (finally) alongside Joel Diaz. A fun fight against the Thai Kiram for a title albeit a "regular" strap but I have my fingers crossed we will see him in with a Thurman, Khan or Garcia II which all sounds like fireworks to me. Before the fight I was seeing tremendous backlash due to him being unknown but he was the mandatory and he needed an opportunity to prove himself. I understand the negativity as he was an unknown quantity however a few things people overlooked: -Australia's best ever olympic representative (quarter finalist, lost to silver medalist) -Earned mandatory position -has shown he can get back up from a hard KD like vs randal Bailey...when randall hits a motherlover they usually stay slept The ESPN commentary was absolute shambles but here in England it was a lot closer and we all agreed it could have gone either way. 7-5 Horn seemed perfectly reasonabls to me however I honestly question compubox cause no way Horn landed nearly half as many, he was doing ALL the work inside. Nonetheless I love Pacquiao and this is heartbreaking to me. This Pac would have lost to Bradley and Vargas. Maybe it's time to call it a day. Teddy Atlas' behaviour when interviewing Horn was however disgusting; is dude meant to admit losing a close fight? Bradley was apparently the least biased understandingly as he experienced similar vs Manny (I thought he lost clearly) Now what I'd like to see is my boy who's also the highest WBO challenger, Lucas Matthysse put some hurt on that boy :boxing:

I don't know what you guys saw but I see him lighting the dude up with right hands and rolling with literally all of the dude's punches. When the sparring partner tried to get aggressive he ate two right hands in a row similarly to how De La Hoya did and thats exactly why McGregor wont go balls to the wall like Chino did. I've heard many people try indulge their imagination and hypothesise how Bruce Lee would do in a real fight or combat sport and although thus is just a brief glimpse, have a look and comment your thoughts. I see immense timing, speed, reflexes etc but how it would translate in MMA or a boxing match is purely up for speculation. Enjoy :boxing:

All I've been seeing is Brook being labelled a quitter or not as good as everyone made out. However, I feel completely the opposite and I've gained more respect for him than ever before. He hung in there and despite being in visible distress he fought back and gave it his all. I predicted Spence to walk him down and pound the body for a late stoppage which is exactly what happened but Kell was game as ever and I would favour him against almost every other WW. Let him have a well deserved break and we'll see what's next. And anyone labelling him a quitter, he could have gone blind and in the harsh fickle world of boxing, these fans won't be there for you or paying your bills after you retire. Kell wants to see his kids grow up, he was way too far behind on the scorecards and Spence wasn't slowing down. He could have gone out on his shield but I won't begrudge his decision at all. Congrats to my man Errol Spence! Imo the best fighter at 147 and I am glad to say I've called him special for a while now :boxing:

As a long standing Lucas Matthysse fan I'm very happy to see him return this weekend vs Emmanuel Taylor, I hope he gets one more shot at a world title before he retires. Arguable one of the best fighters to never win a world title. At one point he was the GGG of 140. But make no mistake, Taylor is a young and hungry fighter and if Matthysse has lost any fire he'll potentially lose. Whether you believe he's passed his prime or not he still has bags of ability and has very solid wins over strong fighters such as Bradley and a very game Vargas who impressed me. He's adapted his game now as he doesn't have the legendary stamina he once did but now he's a phenomenal boxer and Mayweather explained the traps he saw (and scuffed out I must say) which make Manny great. Ultimately, based on history and recent performances; Manny is now the best welterweight in the world unless someone proves otherwise by beating elite competition and proving it.

I've seen so many people and Eddie Hearn (understandably as he's the promoter) claim that the fight with Brook is the best in the division despite Garcia-Thurman unifying with unbeaten records. Many have also said he's a much tougher ask than Pacquiao and although I've been on the Spence train for a while now, despite being a prospect he is a world level rookie. He has bags of potential but is unproven, Kell just fought GGG and is being given tons of credit for fighting his mandatory, he wouldn't dodge one to save his life vs Dan and Bizier but he almost moved a division as soon as the first tough test came up. To sum up, please don't compare Spence to a guy like Pacquiao who won a world title as recent as November, it's disrespectful. P.s I got Brook winning a late stoppage, I think he beats Garcia and Thurman too for the record but fighting your mandatories is what you're supposed to do.

The majority of Southpaw's only use the jab to measure distance and set up their combos and as a Southpaw I do the same but can you think of any Southpaws that actually control fights with their jab? And which Southpaw in your opinion has the best jab in boxing?

Seeing as Danny Garcia vs Keith Thurman is around the corner, I thought I'd bring up arguably Danny Garcia's best win. Here's the full fight with an arena view and no commentary which helps eliminate bias. If you have time enjoy a great fight and also score it! It's a lot closer than the schooling that people claim and I have Lucas winning was it not for the KD. As a Lucas fan the countless low blows DSG got away with is extremely annoying. However props to Danny who gained a fan, he rose to the occasion and did what he had to do, fighting great on the back foot. I favour him to potshot Thurman and catch him trading and maybe hurting Keith with a few body shots and ultimately winning a late stoppage or UD. Keith will have to make the fight as Danny will fight on the backfoot thus providing opportunities for DSG to counterpunch with his great timing.

Yes Thurman is a bigger guy than Matthysse and a better boxer but I don't think he has anywhere near the fear factor Lucas had at the time and he has also contrastingly shown weakness. I personally believe DSG will win as he always finds a way and imo performs best on the backfoot where he can counter an oncoming opponent. What do you guys make of this fight and is it Garcia's toughest fight to date?

Happy 50th birthday to one of my favourite boxers and idols of all time. Was just curious to see how everyone thinks Mike Tyson would have faired with the massive heavyweights we have nowadays such as: -Joshua -Wilder -Fury -Klitschko Just to name a few. Tyson as many are aware was listed as 5"11 and has even been said go have been closer to 5"9. I will let someone else get the ball rolling... :boxing Oh yeah guys, watch the Jose Ribalta fight... For those saying he never fought anyone big, besides Lewis, didn't he also fight big guys like Tony Tucker who was 6"5 and 34-0 when Tyson beat him to unify all 4 belts. Tyson did fight several large HWs which people forget about.

I've said for a long time I personally hold Pacqiuao as the best WW right now and losing to Floyd is no disgrace. He took hardly any significant damage in that fight and looked great in previous fights. I'm confident he will decision Bradley and I still believe he is up there. However, in his interviews he genuinely looks utterly disinterested in boxing and it's apparent he's just fighting for money. But the ability is definitely there.

Khan has many intangibles which I'm sure we're all aware of and is very difficult to beat but Canelo is also often flat footed and can be frustrated by movers. But many are completely writing him off and I have the feeling that it's more what they want to see rather than what they actually believe. Fair enough a KO by Canelo at any stage of the fight is not unrealistic at all but people are basing the past performances of Khan to relate to this completely different scenario.

Fair enough he can be flat footed but I've seen many people label him as a slow, plodding fighter. In respect to his hand speed this couldn't be further from the truth, watch his fights against the likes of Lopez and you'll see that Saul Alvarez had very very quick hands and despite Khan being quicker (than almost everyone anyway), Canelo has very good hand speed. He's a very good combination puncher who mixes them up and is slicker than given credit for.

I've heard the same sort of rhetoric used and people have called it suicide and not many have given a chance and reasonably so, he's fighting a fighter who's one of the best at a much bigger weight class. And his punch resistance has always been questionable against lower calibre fighters. If Khan wins will it be just as much of an upset as Ali-Foreman and will he have won you over to become or a fan or just give him the respect he deserves?

So far Team Brook's reason for 60-40 in Khan's favour has been that Kell brings the world title but if Khan wins his own world title and also the most prestigious one at that, how much of the split can Kell actually demand? Yes Khan needs to Kell to sell out Wembley and make this fight as it takes two to tango but if they both have a belt and its a unification, I can only imagine the split Khan would demand. Disclaimer: of course there are a lot of what if's and variables as DG could well beat him; I rate Danny highly however as long as Khan sticks to a game plan he should win.

The severity of the symptoms, which may include muscle pains, vomiting, and confusion, depends on the extent of muscle damage and whether kidney failure develops. Black urine with muscle fibres was excreted by Stiverne post fight and it explains why he said he was worried about not sweating pre-fight and why he felt he couldn't get off for some reason.

On this forum I've seen a lot of funny comments, and something that I've found amusing is how everyone mentions Froch has made enough money fighting Groves so he doesn't need to fight anymore but in Khan's case he's stupid to turn down $5million. In terms of legacy turning the fight down isn't the best move but purely from a financial perspective, Froch has a net worth of $20 million whereas Khan has a net worth of $30 million. To summarise, money should not be the main enticement for Khan to fight Brook this summer but rather to establish himself back at the top of British boxing and the top of 147. Edit: Lol, I rate Froch highly and people are misunderstanding the question. Froch has built his legacy and I'm not questioning that or expecting him to do any more but I'm questioning the validity of why Khan is stupid to turn down money when he has more than international superstar Froch. Khan still needs to build his legacy and that's exactly why he needs to fight guys like Brook; NOT FOR THE MONEY IT BRINGS (that's a bonus).
