As a massive fan of Lucas I am delighted to see him back and also training in America (finally) alongside Joel Diaz. A fun fight against the Thai Kiram for a title albeit a "regular" strap but I have my fingers crossed we will see him in with a Thurman, Khan or Garcia II which all sounds like fireworks to me. Who else is excited? :boxing: In the clip above his defence looks pretty good and the few times he let his hands go he was sharp, VIVA LA MAQUINA
I remember a time when people on here said he could beat Floyd hahaha
He lost a close decision to a shot Judah. Even if you felt he won, it was close.
Yep I definitely remember those days, even the hype surrounding his fight with Garcia, how Angel Garcia would end up not wanting the fight, how he was in hiding, how after they signed the fight they were forced to, how he would take Garcia out in a few rounds etc after all that hype what happened? They made the “Eye” doe excuses.
He lost to postol for goodness sake, that machine isn’t back. Hope he makes a few dollars so he can retire peacefully like Maidana did, no way is his eye getting better.
The hypejob is back!!!!!!

I beg to differ, Devon Alexander, Zab Judah, Corley and DG all claim he’s the hardest puncher they’ve faced and that includes the likes of Cotto, Thurman, Maidana and Provodnikov. Power won’t be an issue but his size may be a bigger factor.
And? That claim means nothing because most of them havent really faced any genuine punchers. Regardless of that, my point is in regards to him having a puncher's chance. Who has he KOd at the world level? The answer is almost no one, so why would he have a puncher's chance against Thurman, Porter, Pac, Horn, TC or Spence?
Matthysse doesn't hit hard enough at the world level. Not at 140 anyway, so hows he gonna do it at 147?

Anyone has a puncher's chance when you hit as hard as Lucas does, one last hurrah for him now

I really like Matthysse, and I'm hoping you're wrong. My gut tells me you're not.
I said DG would beat him all those years ago and then I said he had a yellow streak in him, which was almost exposed by Molina and then exposed for sure by Postol. I won't be wrong.
I was a fan but he quit to Postol so I am not as much of a fan of his as I once was. I thought he was a warrior who would never quit. I still like his fighting style and wish him well.
No homo but Luscious Lucas is so handsome for someone who gets punched in the face for a living
let's just hope that eye of his doesn't fall off from his face
What's the deal with his eye issues they all sorted now?
Yeah it was swollen badly after the Postol loss and he was meant to return a year earlier but they wanted to give it extra time to heal and now they're ready to rock n roll
