I've heard many people try indulge their imagination and hypothesise how Bruce Lee would do in a real fight or combat sport and although thus is just a brief glimpse, have a look and comment your thoughts. I see immense timing, speed, reflexes etc but how it would translate in MMA or a boxing match is purely up for speculation. Enjoy :boxing:
We both know you cant answer the question, because that fight by itself destroys all this 'too deadly to fight' nonsense that McDojo hucksters have been peddling to naive kids for decades.
I'm just stunned in 2017 there are still people so clueless of martial arts they still think this nonsense works in the real world against resisting opponents.
My apologies that you have no brains whatsoever!
Since you resorted to insult, I'm ignoring the rest of it.
I'm sticking now with one question to you. If you can somehow muster up an answer to it, I'll move on to the rest of your 'disproved in the 1990s' nonsense.
What's your take on the challenge match between the sport fighter and the Kung-Fu master in the fight where deadly throat strikes were allowed?
They are now. They were not banned for years.
Now address the fact of it never being used successfully while it was legal to do.
No, you stupid idiot.
I've said at least THREE TIMES it works in theory. Show me it once working against a resisting opponent.
What's your take on the video of the challenge match between a 'sport' trained man and Kung-Fu master allowed to use deadly throat attacks?
Specifically, why didn't the deadly throat strike stop the 'sport' fighter not used to seeing such attacks? ;)My apologies that you have no brains whatsoever! Condolences. Two days now and your brainless a$$ still hasnt grasped the fact that BOTH THE UFC AND MMA BANNED THROAT STRIKES FOR A REASON!!! I will go with those institutions any day over you! Done with entertaining myself with a mental midget like you so I'm ignoring any more of your pathetic attempts to save your badly deflated ego.
Obviously you are oblivious to the fact that the MMA and UFC rules banned throat strikes and WHY they did,...
They are now. They were not banned for years.
Now address the fact of it never being used successfully while it was legal to do.
you are oblivious to the fact that blows to the Trachea can seriously injure an opponent and can be fatal,
No, you stupid idiot.

What denial???
I said your THEORY is sound. But I've said IN PRACTICE you cant cite even one example of it actually happening.
Keep up.
What's your take on the challenge match where the guy who advocated the same nonsense you do got himself seriously injured against a resisting opponent?Obviously you are oblivious to the fact that the MMA and UFC rules banned throat strikes and WHY they did, you are oblivious to the fact that blows to the Trachea can seriously injure an opponent and can be fatal, that is why they are banned!!!!! Go cry to the UFC and MMA and complain to them and watch them look at you like a complete idiot. Throat strikes and grasping the Trachea area are illegal for a reason! Your mindless little scenario about a resisting opponent would get you laughed at by the UFC and MMA. In fact, go tell the UFC and MMA you want a demonstration of how to badly injure a person with such strikes and after you are near death, maybe you can convince them to change the rules.
The only thing pathetic is your lame denial.

They weren't for years, and I'm not sure if they are now.
Try another pathetic excuse.
Again pal, gotta land it against a resisting opponent. That's NEVER happened. The only thing pathetic is your lame denial. In your words you said "I'm not sure" which means you have no base for debating. I am sure. Read and weep! Throat punches are illegal because they can land against a resisting opponent, duh! You are dismissed.
MMA:

UFC: illegal: Throat strikes of any kind, including, without limitation, grabbing the trachea.
There is a REASON why throat punches are banned in MMA and UFC!
They weren't for years, and I'm not sure if they are now.
Try another pathetic excuse.

Blah, blah, blah.
You're not getting my point about them being able to show it being successful against a resisting opponent part. Yes, it WILL work, but only IF you hit it perfect. And if you cant practice it, much less against someone attacking you, how can you be sure you can land this killer throat strike in real life?
You do realize in fights people punch back, they move, they put their hands up, and they even tuck their chins, right? There is a REASON why throat punches are banned in MMA and UFC! Lets see how slow or fast you are at understanding why that is. It does not take monumental pressure to collapse a trachea and an MMA or UFC fighter if allowed would be able to deliver that strike with devastating results, that is why it is illegal!
Are any of you familiar with the John Marsh vs Sean Scott back-door Gracie challenge style match back in the 1990s?
If not, here's the back story. Sean Scott was Kung-Fu Grand Poobah dojo owner who had a standing $5,000 open door challenge. The rules, none. You could eye gouge, throat punch, hair pull, etc. Well he got took up on it by a (at the time) BJJ brown belt. The result of the fight is below. Be sure you have the volume up high, you'll not only hear the assistants talking about the lack of rules during the fight, you'll literally hear the fight end.
After watching it, I'd like to hear some comments on it.
It is a FACT that a strike to the throat....
Blah, blah, blah.
You're not getting my point about them being able to show it being successful against a resisting opponent part. Yes, it WILL work, but only IF you hit it perfect. Bruce lee is an absolute legend and could destroy any boxer no matter their size if he was in his prime. All facts.
You are an absolute moron who probably thinks Bruce Lee is super human despite the fact his weight lifting clearly showed him as not.
The fact that you think he can handle a heavyweight man such as Mike Tyson, Anthony Joshua, etc. is a joke.
Why did you ignore the rest?
Too much truth for you?
You can tell you bought into the bull****, only someone who had would make ridiculous claims and defend it it with 0 evidence to back up the claims.
If these grandmasters or Bruce Lee fought and got whooped on camera what would happen to their careers? They sell bull**** you fell for it.
You keep talking about ands ifs and buts
Meanwhile everyone who has seen him 1st hand an have trained with him say otherwise.
Have you even heard of mas oyama?
Maybe against a guy who doesn't move and expose his throat and you land a perfect shot.
But in a real fight ppl run around, move, ball up, covers themselves, etc.Not true! Throat strikes of ANY kind are illegal in MMA for a reason. Go look up the rules. There is a reason why throat strikes are not even allowed in sparring and martial arts schools, even with padding, it is deadly. On the street with no padding and no rules and it is more deadlier. Go look up UFC rules. Throat attacks are illegal there too and for a reason.
