Well this is his first fight since June of last year at a new weight against a cuban and he dominates the fight. He's working on changing his style to were he fights on the inside and slips punches without unnecessary movement. Ward and Hunter will have a completely different gameplan for Kovalev. He should take another fight in June and he will be much sharper by November.
I think for Wilder to be a star he has to beat Fury/ Klitchko winner. Even though he's undefeated with the highest ko ratio and WBC title he is still considered the paper champion.
Crawford beats Broner pretty easily. The switch to southpaw, length and overall skill is too much for Broner. Broner has decent power but Crawford has shown to have a good chin.
Its not his fought nobody wants to fight him. The other top fighters in his division dont want to fight him. Dealing with a style like that and no big money involved is a nightmare for other fighters.

Well GGG was willing to fight Froch and Chavez at 168 but not Ward without a catch weight of 164. When he first became popular his coach said they would fight anybody from 154 to 168. Now they have backtracked and stated they want to stay at 160 unless they can get a Mayweather fight at 154. Mayweather has never weighed over 151.
I think Canelo has a chance to outbox GGG. He will have to make him miss and counter punch with hard shots. They are roughly about the same size so Canelo could make the fight interesting.
Cotto win over Sergio Martínez. He was clearly a shell of himself. He could barely even stand. This win with Freddie Roach in his corner made people think Cotto was rejuvenated.

Robinson would destroy GGG in a fight. I dont think GGG could compete with the power,speed and angles Robinson would use. You cant compare the records because during Robinson time they fought more often.
I like Khan he gets alot of respect for taking this fight. Khan will give him fits with his speed, but I cant see him staying away from Canelo power for 12 rounds. He has good skills but never fighting at 155 plus having to deal with Canelo who will be 170 on fight night chances are slim. If im Virgil Hunter i would focus mainly on defense in camp and study Mayweather vs Canelo fight.
He always had hand issues. He use to break his hands alot during fights. Thats actually the only time he officially went down is taking a knee from a hurt hand. He also did recently say he had a bad shoulder. Those two factors probably what turned him into a pot shotter.
Its an iv fusion of vitamins big deal that defitnely affected the outcome of the fight. Pacquiao would have won the fight without it. Its no different then a figter failing a drug test after the fight. If the commision finds something is illegal then they change the decision to a no contest and suspends/ fine the fighter After the fight. None of this happened.
Thats's a good step up fight for Spence. It will be interesting to see he can cut the ring off against Algieri. If he wins impressively he will move from Prospect to contender.
Marquez has the more spectacular victory but I think it history will focus more on the loss to Mayweather because it was the super fight of this generation. I think it will be similar to Hearns knockout over Duran. Very impressive but history focuses on him losing to Leonard and Hagler.
I Don't agree with Roach. He stopped Hatton,De la Hoya and Cotto at welterweight. Not to mention he broke Margarita orbital bone. He also hit Mosley so hard that he forgot what round it was. He did all of this as he at or around welterweight. Then all of sudden he looked normal and couldnt stop smaller fighters like Márquez, Bradley and Rios. Clearly he was on something.
Because of the length and power of Hearns this would be a really tough fight fight for Mayweather to win. However Hearns would never be able to walk through Floyd or any other fighter in history. I know Floyd attitude rubs people the wrong way but disrepect his talent. People are forgetting one of his best weapons is being able to make adjustments.
Leonard please get this fight made so Floyd can dominate Pac. Pac has a hard time with Marquez who is a counter punched what the hell is he going to do with Floyd who is a bigger faster and better all around fighter. Neither one of them avoided Khan. The fact that you say Mayweather is ducking Khan by fighting a proven welterweight who just won a title is comical. Bradley didn't fight Khan because of promoter issues at the time. The Cassamayor fight was the first fight on Top rank and he fought Pacquiao, Prodinkov and Marquez in his next three fights.
Lara isn talented enough to give Mayweather problems but Golden boy has done a horrible job promoting him. So even though he probably the best competition out there nobody knows him outside of hardcore boxing fans. Mayweather is only going to go back to 154 for a huge fight and at this point Lara would need to beat Canelo for this to happen. Golden boy wants no part of that fight.
Maidana deserves the fight over Khan. If Khan would have fought Devon Alexander at welterweight I don't think anybody would have a problem with him facing Mayweather. If he would have beat a top junior welterweight he may even be deserving of the fight. Despite he probably would have a tougher fight style wise than Maidana he has done anything in the past two years. He was knocked out by Garcia and lost to Peterson who was destroyed by Matthessye he just clearly lost to Garcia. Beating Molina and Diaz doesn't equal Mayweather fight.
Yes Mayweather doesn't throw as many punches as be did as a light weight however he always out throws and outlands his opponents he wasn't active he would have been lost
Not even close to the most over rated. He hasn't ducked anybody. Who else has beaten Maidaina like that? Now the guy he's fighting next Kell Brook is over rated. Not to mention he is still only 25 years old.
Brook is outclass he hasn't fought the same competion as Alexander. At this point he is a hype job. Sure Alexander haven't always looked good but who else has fought that level of competion without any tune ups
Everybody is entitled to change there stance especially when it comes to PED testing. I don't see it been any problem requesting opponents to give random blood and urine test. Donaire should make sure all his opponents take the test from now on. If these pound for pound guys will make there opponents take these test that will help clean up the sport.
I don't think anybody is scared of him it's just that boxing is a business. It's funny a few weeks ago everyone was dissing this guy now because Alexander is mention as an opponent and longer than expected negotions he has become one of the most feared boxers lol
Bob Arum has carefully picked Manny opponents since moving up in weight. I give home credit when he fought at the lower weights but since he moved up nobody he's fought has came off a big win Cotto had a questionable win over Clottey and Margarito was abused by Mosley.
