"Excited" and "Andre Ward" do not belong in the same sentence.
I almost wrote "actually" before "excited" but I can't do Ward like that :lol1:
I am excited for Ward-Kovalev though, whenever that happens
Call me a bias Brit, but I've put money on your boy Amir. I know he's got a chin like a piece of rusty glass, but I don't rate this Canelo that much.
Canelo? The 155 champ? El es el mejor

Well done you.

I haven't seen the fight yet but the opinions on here are so varied, I'm excited for it.
I reckon Iron Man would be KO'd by Ward.
tbh, if a prime Tyson was in the ring with Ward, I'd be concerned for Mike's safety... Tyson was too slow.
Here's Ward's idol:

What about this Khan Canelo fight then?
The cunt's fucking unbeatable... he would have shit out Thomas Hearns.
The guy's got the punching power of Earnie Shavers.
I reckon even the Muslim Hulk would have a hard time with Ward. I can see him being outskilled.
Sugar Ray Leonard would get his arse beat. Ward is the best I've ever seen
Ward didn't show any rust, he just showed that he was unsure early, he started picking it up mid fight, and was being more comfortable, it was just the uncertainty of being out so long.
He looked the same to me, what is up with this Flat footed talk, he has never been a dancer in the ring, he moved the same, and did the same stuff, he holds, clinches in close, knows when to bounce out, etc.
He was just more tentative early which comes with not being in the ring for a while. He was training when he wasnt fighting so he had no ring rust.
I dunno, Ward looked pretty good to me. He was never a finished, no version of Ward would have stopped Barrera. But he did win every round, got dirty, got his head in close (lol) and jabbed, right hand, clinched his way to a win.
I will admit he moved back against the ropes more often than he normally would have.
But hey, let Ward have 3 more tune up across 5 years, War Ward 2020!!

It's just ring-rust he simply will shake it off in his next fight and he did get 12 good rounds in.
I thought the fight was much closer than how Letterman scored the fight. Ward could have been more aggressive especially in the later rounds rounds. But he did win convincingly.
Well this is his first fight since June of last year at a new weight against a cuban and he dominates the fight. He's working on changing his style to were he fights on the inside and slips punches without unnecessary movement. Ward and Hunter will have a completely different gameplan for Kovalev. He should take another fight in June and he will be much sharper by November.
