Martinez willing to move down 10lbs to fight Floyd, but not move up 8 to fight Ward?

Anybody knows that it is a money thing for Martinez especially him being almost 40. Anyway where is there more of a demand: a May/Martinez fight or a Martinez/Ward fight?

But what does it do for Floyd? Sh*t. Martinez hasnt shown he can hit 154 and be healthy, he hasn't fought at 154 in over 8 fights and counting, he's also pushing 40. The fight is a waste of time to be honest.

So basically taking the easier fight is okay in certain instances? I think Martinez should go and take 1 fight at 154, prove he's serious. Him and Money May can fight. Signing a contract that states if he is over 154, then no fight, would prove he is serious. If he struggled to come down to 154 for a warm up fight, there is no guarantee Floyd will fight him.

It might very well be Martinez 3rd biggest possible Payday. Ward Vs Martinez on PPV?? I would order it. It would bring him much more money than the guys who he fights. He can take an easier fight with Chavez Jr. and make the same. Going up to 168 isn't worth the risk for the amount of money involved.

i'll bet my own house, floyd won't beat martinez even if the latter nearing 40! You don't have to preach to the choir bro. I know what's up. However Roger (who claimed that since Chavez jr dropped Martinez, Floyd would stop him) & all Floyd's little fanbase always claim Floyd can beat Martinez. Then shell out monumental amounts of excuses as to why Floyd won't fight him. None of course being that he's scared & the challenge is too steep, (which it is).

I strongly disagree with the Martinez is a small MW stance. If Martinez is such a small MW why did Martinez and his team complain about Williams wanting a catchweight for their 2nd fight under the MW limit? Wouldn't that actually help Martinez? I am not saying PBF shouldn't fight Martinez cause I actually think he should. Martinez is a little overrated IMO. But Martinez is not a small MW.

Mayweather-Martinez is a lot of hot air, a completely unrealistic fight. Floyd is too small to even be competing at 154. He isn't going to fight a damn middleweight after seeing what happened to Cotto when he fought a real 154lber. You guys are being ridiculous. The reason id like to see Floyd vs Sergio, is because Floyd hasnt taken on a reeal challenge in many years. Floyd vs Sergio would be a pick'em fight. Very exciting. Either Sergio is a real MW, and moving down will drain him. = Good for Floyd? Or Sergio is a small MW, and the fight is reasonable. I dont see why people are so against the fight. Against Cotto Floyd still won almost every round. It was tough, but who is to say Sergio wont be drained? I think Floyds fans are simply scared of Floyd losing.

Hey I don't make the rankings Im just stating the facts. And to my knowledge Jmm wasn't ranked at #2 P4P until he knocked out Diaz and Casamayor at 135lbs. That is the point. Facts are that Khan is ranked #2 at 147 by them. So if Floyd fights him will you be ready to jump on Floyd's bandwagon and say "Floyd is right, Khan is #2 ranked 147lbs. He fought a legit WW opponent" ??? Before you answer it, keep in mind that there are Floyd fans that were on Floyd's side from day 1 when he said "...but Marquez is #2 P4P". Floyd skipped the part about Marquez just moved up from 130 to 135lbs. Maybe you were defending that?

The WBC rankings for Amir Khan: Ranked #2 at 147 Amir Khan was expected to be Floyd's next opponent but Danny Garcia changed all that. So if Floyd fought Amir Khan, Floyd fans would be bringing up that Khan was ranked #2. You say, no they wouldn't stoop that low?
