Thanks manny it was an amazing ride. I will never forget all the awesome moments and memories even in defeat. Marquez 4 was one of the best fights I've ever bought.
Yes, he is.
And I remember you -- you argued with me once that Timothy Bradley could move up and easily outbox Canelo Alvarez :lol1:
Nabeel (Ashburn, VA)
Dan, thanks for the chat. With Danny Jacobs now with Matchroom and On HBO, is Al Haymon still his manager?
Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak 12:21 PM ET
I am told Haymon is out though the Jacobs team, out of respect for what Haymon did for him, won't say that.
I remember you... you were the one who said only a year ago that pbc was doing really well and everything was on the up and up.
Are you still too bias to admit that haymon has proven to be a horrible business man. Seriously who spends 500m and loses market share...
Edit: let me add I said I think overall Bradley is a better fighter than canelo. That's it. Find the post where I said that.
RELAX
Andrade was never with haymon. and Jacobs is still with haymon

I don't want you out here sounding like a hater.
not true Jacobs is not with Harmon anymore
The longer Floyd stays retired, the better history will remember him. It's always like that with black brash fighters. Even Ali.
Even Ali? He went from being the man who called himself the greatest ever to the greatest ever like an hour after he knocked out foreman. This is at best revisionist history to push your agenda this is a race thing.
There’s no way this fight generates a 100m in purses.... I gotta point out it’s hilarious that the same people who said Floyd’s 40m offer to manny was fair say this offer isn’t. When this is more than 2x wilders largest purse, and wilder hasn’t even been on a PPV yet. Classic.
I stopped buying Floyd's ppv before the cotto fight when he clearly ducked manny with that ridiculous offer. I will only buy his ppvs again when he fights manny, which most likely will be never.
Yeah but pacman really could have cornered floyd because he'll have no excuses left ( or will he) and take the fights he wants to take against anyone he wants to.
Now, bar prov, he has no new opponents left?
No excuses left?
Take the test we have a fight
Take a ridiculously small split

Mayweather is not going to be cornered.
I don't know it's debatable. It's not like Mayweather's resume is lacking big names. If Saul Alvarez goes on to do big things he should get credit for that win. They both started out around the same weight and you gotta remember Mayweather dominated JMM. I like Manny better, but I'm only trying to be fair.
The only problem is IF canelo doesn't go on to do big things, people will start to say well floyd ruined him.... I mean before the fight canelo was by far the most protected fighter. I think hes going to get exposed, but Time will tell tho.
ok lets just keep seeing a beast like ggg fight guys like adama.
- obviously thats best for his legacy
- best for improving
- taking advantage of his physical prime
i rest my case...
holla back at your boy jas
oh and by the way, canelo was gonna fight winner of lopez-ortiz. lopez won. and canelo fought an unbeaten trout when even his own promoters gbp said its not the best match-up stylistically.
i guarantee you if cotto loses to martinez , canelo will fight lara.
Canelo will never fight Lara he doesn't want to get exposed. Btw trout? That's the same guy who got easily out pointed by Lara right? Obviously gb wanted Ortiz in with canelo what an easy cherry pick.
Lol so he confirmed this with HBO yesterday on a Sunday?? What bs.
Since when was adama interesting?
Kirkland got KTFO by ishida.
Alvarez has a fight.
Mayweather has a fight.
Quillin had a super close with rosado who just got outboxed completely by Charlo who said Lara helped him a lot in camp...
Wow . I didn't think they were ducking before but now I'm starting to see
The same ishida who golovkin put face down on the canvas right? Haha you can't have it both ways....
Richard Shaefer doesn't seem to like him based on the recent quotes about Lara's style, it might be easier for Lara to leave.
Lara is also a danger to Canelo, another reason to throw Lara out the window.
Interesting point about the canelo situation, in fact I could see that as a definate possibility.
Lennox Lewis it ain't even close. The only words he could say properly were absolutely and definitely, but besides that he couldn't even form sentences. See mayweather judah... The fight is better without the sound.
GBP/Lara are doing the same thing relative to GGG as GGG is doing with floyd-using his name to help build his profile by asking for a fight that is impossible to make at this time.
HBO can't expect to do this with Manny and GGG and not expect SHo/GBP to start doing it too. They had Broner call out Manny last year and now they are having Lara call out GGG.
If you didn't care about politics/problems that prevented the fights from happening, why would we care now?
This is a good post I agree completely. But for these nsb posters acting like ggg Lara is even remotely a possibility is completely absurd.
GGG calls out Floyd at 154!
NSB Response: Where's Floyd Now? Floyd is Ducking! Floyd is scared!
Lara calls out GGG!
NSB Response: How dare he! Nobody wants to see this fight! What makes him so great! This is a bad fight! GGG won't get credit if he wins! Showtime, HBO, GBP Arum, GOD, The air the earth, the Sun, the Moon etc..
Lara brings absolutely no money to the table. Canelo is in the same division, same promoter, and same network and still no fight. Yet he didn't even get this kind of backlash... It's ridiculous.
canelo just fought the number 1 p4p fighter in the world.
ggg just fought adama.
i rest my case.
But to get to the mayweather fight canelo was avoiding Lara like the plague fighting the likes of fvcking Lopez.... I rest my case.
It makes complete sense.
People saying Mayweather should fight GGG is EVEN MORE ridiculous.
Just desserts here....
I don't think mayweather should fight him, but I don't mind ggg callin him out. Mayweather brings 100 times more money to the table than Lara does, literally.
lara is overrated TBH, he was losing to Angulo and got dropped twice. He is good yeah, but not some god like ppl make him out to be. Angulo dropped him twice and was winning, GGG KO's him easily. And Canelo may even KO him too
Imo Lara dismantles canelo in a wide decision.
Golovkin is promoted by K-2 not by Top Rank. HBO didn't televise GGG's last fight.
I'm not certain but I think it may be possible to make this fight for Showtime.
Hbo has an exclusive contract with ggg they are not going to let him fight on showtime... You can pretty much think of ggg like anyone with tr, because hbo doesn't want to do business with gb so no fight.
Canelo has to be the more overrated,,,, both are hype jobs, but canelo is getting put into a ppv main event after getting undressed by floyd
Neither has impressed me much in terms of being the next major superstar,, Fernando Vargas was a much better prospect than canelo
Broner hasnt headlined any ppv yet, let alone headlining one after an embarrassing loss
Canelo has the most hype of any up coming fighter, so it has to be Canelo
This 100%, especially about vargas he was way better than canelo at his age. I think the open scoring hurt trout in the canelo fight. I mean that one card was like 79-72 canelo after nine rounds. I think trout tried to push the fight after that because he realized he wasn't getting a decision, and that was the reason he lost the fight 114-113(my score).
Media: Hey Floyd, who are you going to fight next?
Floyd: I am my own boss and make my own decisions
Media: Are you fighting Ortiz/Guerrero/Khan/etc?
Floyd: I am my own boss and make my own decisions
Ellerbe: It's up to Floyd
Media: Hey Floyd, are you going to fight Pacquiao?
Floyd: It's up to my team
Floyd: My team picks my opponents
Haha this made me actually laugh.
I'm a fan but he's an areshole, if he doesn't fight Groves again that just shows that he's ducking the highest paid fight he could possibly get for an easier fight.
He would make more against Chavez.... So taking an easier and higher paying fight is just good boxing business. No problem here.
Nah. Hearn even said himself that the Groves fight is the highest paid fight possible for Froch at this moment in time. But don't get me wrong i'd still love to see the Chavez fight.
Maybe he was referring specifically to fighters in the smw division? It's just Chavez is one of the biggest draws in boxing so it's hard to believe that... Not saying you aren't correct just hard to believe.
GGG is apparently fighting Martinez after he beats Cotto.
I would rather have this over Chavez jr but I don't see dibella letting his prize in the ring with ggg as long as Martinez is winning.
Disregarding the fact that I do believe margarito had loaded wraps in the cotto fight, a win over an undefeated prime cotto is bigger than anything bradley has done so far. The pac win was a robbery, and the jmm win was big but not as big as the cotto win.
