I don't know it's debatable. It's not like Mayweather's resume is lacking big names. If Saul Alvarez goes on to do big things he should get credit for that win. They both started out around the same weight and you gotta remember Mayweather dominated JMM. I like Manny better, but I'm only trying to be fair. Richard Shaefer doesn't seem to like him based on the recent quotes about Lara's style, it might be easier for Lara to leave. GBP/Lara are doing the same thing relative to GGG as GGG is doing with floyd-using his name to help build his profile by asking for a fight that is impossible to make at this time. HBO can't expect to do this with Manny and GGG and not expect SHo/GBP to start doing it too. They had Broner call out Manny last year and now they are having Lara call out GGG. If you didn't care about politics/problems that prevented the fights from happening, why would we care now? This is a good post I agree completely. But for these nsb posters acting like ggg Lara is even remotely a possibility is completely absurd.

lara is overrated TBH, he was losing to Angulo and got dropped twice. He is good yeah, but not some god like ppl make him out to be. Angulo dropped him twice and was winning, GGG KO's him easily. And Canelo may even KO him too Imo Lara dismantles canelo in a wide decision. Golovkin is promoted by K-2 not by Top Rank. HBO didn't televise GGG's last fight. I'm not certain but I think it may be possible to make this fight for Showtime. Hbo has an exclusive contract with ggg they are not going to let him fight on showtime... You can pretty much think of ggg like anyone with tr, because hbo doesn't want to do business with gb so no fight.

Nah. Hearn even said himself that the Groves fight is the highest paid fight possible for Froch at this moment in time. But don't get me wrong i'd still love to see the Chavez fight. Maybe he was referring specifically to fighters in the smw division? It's just Chavez is one of the biggest draws in boxing so it's hard to believe that... GGG is apparently fighting Martinez after he beats Cotto. I would rather have this over Chavez jr but I don't see dibella letting his prize in the ring with ggg as long as Martinez is winning.

Disregarding the fact that I do believe margarito had loaded wraps in the cotto fight, a win over an undefeated prime cotto is bigger than anything bradley has done so far. The pac win was a robbery, and the jmm win was big but not as big as the cotto win.
