We live to fight another days. IMO its harder to say you had enough then to dance around a ring or to say down. Some times you need to take the risk and in this next fight he needs to take that risk.

I know for a fact that not all mexicanos hate DLH. That would be his grandmothers, dad, tios…… Seeing DLH fights in Guadalajara for years I know not everyone in Mexico hates him. I say there are mix feelings 50/50, +/-(10).

I love how a couple of people can talk in the behalf of all Mexicans. Mexicanos Vs. Mex-americans to me the only division there is is within ourself. As far as a living legend not that many from any race would consider any boxer a lengend. Boxing fans are a minority.

Floyd Sr is good trainner if you been trainned by him for years!!! it seem all he knows how to add to a boxer is the shoulder roll. If you never done it before you are not going to pick it up in 6 month in a championship fight. You should never try to change a fighters natural ability to add another. I seen this happen to DLH all the time with different trainners. DLH would of been that much better if he stuck with one great trainner that only added to his left hook.
The PAC man has stayed with Roach and it has payed off. Pac is not formal boxer, he has his own twist which makes him that much better. JMM and PBF have keeped there trainners and are at that level.
Rules are there for boxer not to get hurt or killed. Can you imagine if the last hit put him in a coma. by the way a fighter can be KO on hs feet. Lean how to read the rule book. Do not hate on a race just b/c of a fight.
Thats the way fighters get killed...not punching no defence and one big punch at the end. Thank god this was not the case but the ref should get his ass knocked out for that. Does leaning on the ropes = standing up??

No doubt that a Prime sober Oscar would win. SSM and Vargas in their prime on steroids could not beat him. I hope Ortiz wins so the best will be forced to fight each other like in the olden days. Hats off to those great fighters for taking on those challenges.
Race is not an issue that causes problems with fighters. Issues of determination, game plans, defences, offences, and motivation have a key role in match ups. If one is off then it could be your day for a loss no matter what race you are. I'm sure when Oscar won the golden gloves at 16 he had a problem with black people.
People make very good point for and against everyone though. A Rod is the best baseball player and most fans HATE him. Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player and most fans HATE him. Floyd Mayweather is the best boxer and most fans HATE him.
The question is why? Why do people hate A Rod, Kobe and Floyd so much. I mean there's a lot of reasons. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. But really it's jealousy. These are three athletes who've basically gotten everything they could have dreamed of come true and reached the pinnacle of their sport. Especially, in Kobe and Floyd's case with titles and in A Rod and Floyd's case with individual accomplishments and money.
Simply put, Floyd is A Rod and Kobe combined. Everyone who hates any of those three BELIEVES that they are right for hating them. It doesn't change the fact that they're really the best.

If Magarito was fighting Cotto then most mexican would be in support. By no means Gomez is on Cotto's level but can he get luck? 100-1 odds in my book.
PR can have Luis Miguel lol. It's tuff to separate by race. There is a difference between citizenship and ethnicity. All in all, I think it was a good job in dividing the countries. How would it be divided be race?

They are both to blame. Oscar should fight PFP fighter at the pound for pound weight. He should go down to 147 (not in the middle). IMO I think Oscar was a better fighter at 147. Once he tried to move up more the other boxers exposed him more (sterm/BHOP). I think he is trying to get back to were he should have stayed. TOO Late, but let see is he can prove the world wrong. I am so close to hating both of them PBF/ODH.
