For 5th May, De La Hoya asked Kassim Ouma to fight on the undercard for $50,000. Considering De La Hoya is making millions.
Also Ouma made $800,000 against Taylor and Golden Boy took $150,000 just for some adminstrative charges, leaving Ouma with $650,000.
well he always fight fighters that tito faced and defeated first, when he face hopkins he learned that anybody that beat tito will beat him and i can bet he wont fuck with winky.
That is why I always thought Oscar as nothing more than a fabricated guy. A shadow of Tito so to speak.
Are you talking about titos last fights?? Truth is Tito should of been shadowing Oscar (at the end of his carrer). I love Titos heart but I hope he starts using his head.
Oscar is a marketing genius. He managed to remain one of the most paid boxers in the business today by taking on fighters that were already KO'd by Trinidad. While Tito established the blueprint, Oscar studied it and looked as or more impressive against these fighters, making the public see him as a great KO artist. After he loses a match, he stays away from boxing for a while then comes back gets a shot at the title with Mayo. He wins impressively and keeps the audience wanting more
It's business. Oscar is also a business man now. Business men usually don't always look after there employees in the best ways. It's about making that cash.
Golden Boy Promotions new tag line: "All you have to do is touch ya toes and we take care of the rest"
lmao..seems to be True....everyone seems to have problems working with them.
$50,000 isn't alot but look at the audience Ouma will be fighting in front of, one of the biggest in PPV history no doubt. an impressive victory could skyrocket his worth giving him a much larger fanbase + big money fights down the line. whoever fights on the undercard is going to get more exposure in one fight then most fighters get in their whole career
well DHL is type of person who is a hypocrit in some ways. he comes in people and saying he is doing good and i am a boxer like you and been in you sitaution and come and join me but in reality he is as same as Don King and maybe worst.
But there is one thing about Oscar is that he is the most powerful guy in the face boxing politics and I think there are hidden people behind him so that is why i not saying the most power guy.
How much is GPB actully worth and how Oscar getting the 20 mil?
I bet in few years time DHL will come in his true form when he fucked many fighters and another thing GBP is going to have a lawsuit with the split of Hopkins and Mosely is going at it
Whats wrong with being greedy? Boxing business is fucking rough, everyone looks out for themselves.
If DLH can get $20 mil he's doing something right.
If it Aint DLH, then its gonna be someone else, so what does it matter.
Is this new knowledge to everybody? Anyone who couldn't see that DLH was a greedy, filthy piece of trash a long time ago needs to snap out of their dream world. This guy has been fucking people over for years because he can. Thats why when he started promoting and said "we're going to take care of the fighters" I had to laugh. Is it any surprise that he's done exactly the opposite?
How does that make DLH greedy? $500,000 would be chump change for him. Maybe Ouma needs the cash.
Its not $500,000. It is $50,000.
Compare that with De La Hoya's $20 million with ppv.
How does that make DLH greedy? $500,000 would be chump change for him. Maybe Ouma needs the cash. Besides, who's he fighting? How much is he getting? Will Ouma be televised? If not, he doesn't deserve anything from the PPV, just a cut of the live gate. Boxing is a cutthroat game at every level, the fighters, promoters, commissions, alphabet organizations, etc. Anyway, I doubt anyone is holding a gun to Ouma's head.....

it's very little for a fighter but i have to keep in mind that it's all about ppv and what fighter sells, 50k is not bad for quick cash on an undercard not even a main event.........and he can't pay every fighter what they are not worth.....and it's not dlh is GBP overall, but i got to say it is a small portion
