Trinidad is not black, he is a native Boricua Puerto Rican. And Oscar whooped him. There are so many black boxers, and great ones at that, that most every fighter who has lost at one point or another has lost to a black fighter. Its the same as losing to a white fighter, an Asian fighter a green fighter or a purple fighter. I dont know the answer to the question, but I am sure that Pernell Whitaker, Derryl Tyson, Derrel Coley and the like can all give you good answers. As could Ike Quartey and maybe even Steve Forbes. well damn look at the names on that list those are HOF fighters and there are alot more elite black fighters at the top of the divsion (well probally not now but when oscar fought them) besides he beat the fuck outta tito and was robbed, he beat shane the second time and the floyd fight could go either way

He beat the the best black fighter out their P4P Pernell Withaker. IMO Oscar beat Trinidad and Shane part 2 so i don't see how this argument holds any weight. The Floyd fight i scored it a draw but it depends on what you like. Only guys that truly truly beat Oscar without question was Mosley 1 and Bernard Hopkins. And Floyd Mayweather. To me it was a close bout, but a clear winniner. Having it a draw is still pretty crazy. Having it for Oscar is even worse though so atleast you didn't do that.

I've watched it many times and I cant for the life of me find how Sugar Shane got the points decision in the rematch. Watching live I felt Oscar deserved the decision against Floyd, subsequent rewatches have changed my opinion slightly the other way but Oscar landed plently of clean punches that night, some excellent left hooks. Oscar has a chance in the rematch. But I wouldn't be betting on him! He could grow old at any time now.........I'd like to see him win though, it would really cement his legend.

He beat Whitaker and no excuse of sweet Pea doing this and that will take this away. He beat Mosley in the rematch, and that was Mosley on steroids. I watched it with 20 other guys and half wanted to see Oscar lose, in the end 19 -1 in favor of Oscar.

Race is not an issue that causes problems with fighters. Issues of determination, game plans, defences, offences, and motivation have a key role in match ups. If one is off then it could be your day for a loss no matter what race you are. I'm sure when Oscar won the golden gloves at 16 he had a problem with black people.

And to the guy that said he beat ike quartey that was a hard fought bout that could of went either way i thought ike quartey won And also watch trinidad-delahoya on mute and you will see a totally different fight i had oscar winning by two in the fight with the noise on but when i watched it on mute i had trinidad up by 1 point on the scorecards the quartey fight is one that can be argued, but i still say oscar won, quartey did'nt have anything left. but the trinidad fight can't be argued imo, and in maney others also. i don't care if you watch that fight in slow mode, fast forward, sound muted, sound to the top, my eyes don't decieve me, oscar schooled trinidad, even with him dancing in the end, oscar was robbed. i have'nt met a boxing anylist yet that did'nt agree with me. oscar was robbed, but what's done is done and noone can change it.

IMO Hopkins carried him the whole fight.
