Ok, first of all stylistically Tyson shares a lot of similarities with Frazier, just Frazier doesn't have the power of Tyson. Foreman is a bad matchup for Tyson though I think Tyson would fare better against Foreman than Frazier did. Wlad is flat footed and not mobile at all, not to mention everytime he lost he got stopped. Foreman stops Wlad within 5 rounds bro, and i'm being generous here. HORRIBLE matchup for Wlad. Looks to me that the writing is on the wall. Lomachenko is going to blast through Commey like he did Nakatani. And then he'll be the mandatory for Kambosos Jr. Kambosos already said that he'd fight Loma, which will be his biggest mistake. I have a healthy Loma cleaning house at 135. Tank won't fight him, and Haney won't fight him either. But Kambosos is true to his word, and he'll get in the ring with Lomachenko, and when Loma has all the belts again, none of these others will have any excuse not to fight him. Fulton was consistently winning 3 of the 4 scoring criteria for a fight(aggression, clean and effective punching, defense, ring generalship) and to be the supposed stronger inside fighter he got pushed back CONSTANTLY. Aggression is not everything bruh, learn to score fights like a judge not a fan.

I can see Castano winning some early rounds, but Castano leaves himself open a lot and Jermell is one of the best in boxing at exploiting openings and he will eventually time him. My man that's not how I saw it, but let's look at the numbers. I do realize you can't judge a fight by compubox but when we can't agree on what happened in the ring, I can at least say in the Brook fight, Brook landed FOUR punches in round 3, and TWO in round 4 before he went down. Same is true for these other fights, Khan an dBenavidez weren't landing cleanly on Crawford with frequency Of course it isn't how you saw it, yiu clearly are a fighter fan and not a fan of boxing. I don't pay attention to compubox, I routinely see them count punches that miss, and don't count punches that land. I really need you to go watch these fights again and really pay attention, listen to them with the commentary off bruh. Crawford as a WW is very unimpressive. It's getting kind of ridiculous to call everyone, but him overrated in this weight class when he should of been the 3rd ranked WW at beat due to him having that WBO belt, Pac's win over Thurman > any Crawford win, it aint even close bruh.

Ok so let's analyze the two fighters and their styles. Let's start with Vergil Ortiz Jr. Vergil Ortiz Jr. likes to come forward behind a stiff jab, pivoting his upper body, walking over your path the entire time. He keeps a very tight high guard and makes it hard to jab him, simple defense, but it is very effective when done right. He puts together combinations well and has good handspeed, and is not slow of foot, granted his footwork is not flashy, it is very precise though he is rarely off balance. He also likes to circle the ring as well peppering you with jabs. He also punches very hard, and he is still young, he is 21 I believe. He hasn't even gotten his man strength yet. He also attacks the body the entire time you fight. The weaknesses I see in him are his accuracy can be a little all over the place on his power punches. He is precise with his jabs, but he has a tendency to miss the range on his hooks. Also he does not fight as well standing still as he does moving. He can fight off a jab side to side or coming forward, but when I have seen him stand in the pocket and trade I have seen fighters get the better of him in those exchanges. Maurice Hooker was able to stifle him a little standing in the pocket and trading. Jaron 'Boots' Ennis is a fluid switch hitter. He mixes up his punches in his combinations very well, sometimes switching stances in the middle of his combinations to attack from all angles. He attacks the body and head seamlessly and he has a good use of the Philly Shell shoulder roll. He also slides punches off of his gloves in his rolls, James Toney like defense. Even though he is long, he fights very well on the inside. He also is very young, he is 23 I believe, and he hits very hard. Like Ortiz he still has a lot of baby on his body. He has VERY quick feet and will come at you from all angles, he is very hard to keep up with. He also has the faster hands of the two, granted it isn't a HUGE difference, but it is there. He has a good jab, but honestly I think Ortiz's jab is better, but that is mainly because Ortiz fights a much more technical fight. The weaknesses I see in Ennis are sometimes he will leave himself off balance because of his footwork, he needs to tighten it up, he can take too long of a stride and get caught with a punch he probably wouldn't have gotten caught if he didn't overstep. He also doesn't step back out when he should, he needs to be a half second quicker about it. Lipinets was grazing him with body shots because he wasn't getting back out in time. Also he has a bad habit of dropping his hands, after his combinations at times. I don't care who you are, if you leave yourself open someone is eventually going to test your jaw. Also I would like to see him be a little more consistent with his jab. He has a good one, but he falls in love with his power punches sometimes. If a fight between these two happens I would see the first few rounds where Ennis would probably use the ring to keep the fight at range and jab him up. Ortiz would be trying to cut the ring off. Ennis is going to leave Ortiz opportunities to hit him because he has that tendency to overstepas good as Ennis is on the inside, Ortiz is better. Both fighters will be landing punches, and it will be a high volume fight. Ortiz has excellent upper body movement and a tight guard so he is not going to take a lot of punishment upstairs. Ennis will have to consistently attack his body to try to open him up, and Ortiz needs to always throw his jab and keep Ennis from setting up his offense. Also attack the body. This will be a battle of who gets the other one boxed off their gameplan first, barring one of them having a glass jaw. I believe Ortiz will press the pace of the fight, and Ennis strategy will be to keep him guessing by using his footwork and angles to keep Ortiz from landing anything big on him, but Ortiz is pretty good at cutting off the ring so he will get moments where he will put some punishment on Ennis, and can Ennis keep the fight from turning into a slugfest, in which I definitely favor Ortiz if that happens. Right now I would lean slightly towards Jaron Ennis beating Vergil Ortiz Jr. Vergil is a good fighter, but Ennis has a few more tools in his box from what I have seen in them in the ring so far. Ennis has shown me a lot of versatility, Ortiz has not, Ortiz has shown me grit but not versatility. I can see scenarios where both fighters could win the fight, but right now if they fought 10 times I believe Ennis would win 6 of them. With more fights this figure can be adjusted one way or the other.

Khan? I didn't think he gave him any problems at all, fact I think Bud had a much easier time with him than anyone else who had beaten Amir up to that point. Garcia was getting badly outboxed before he caught him with the left hook, the rounds against Canelo were all close, Peterson same. OK Prescott KO him quick but we all knew Amir was chinny. He caught him with a good punch but its not like Prescott was outboxing him. Of all those guys Bud was the only one to out box him the whole time. Benavidez and Brook, the early rounds were close, but it's not like they were convincingly winning. Mean Machine had the knockdown, but still, in all those fights what matters is that he made the adjustments and ended up dominating the rest of those fights. That's what I like to look for in picking talent, not how dominant you are against comp, but can you deal with adversity and make the adjustments. Thats why I like Bud. All his fights he starts off slow but by the end the other guy has no hope and it's not just him landing one big shot, well maybe the Brook fight it was, but once he switched stances that was all she wrote. Its the skills that pay the bills and besides, you don't know that Mean Machine and Brook today couldn't put up a good fight against Garcia and Porter, hell Brook beat Porter pretty easy I thought, and look we all know that Brook isn't as good as he once was and Shawn has withered the storms better over the years, but I still don't think that is an easy fight for Porter since Brook can counter, make him miss, tie him up or spin out every time he gets close. Khan was jabbing Crawford's face off, so bad Crawford started throwing low blows out of frustration to get him out of there, because Khan didn't stand there like a statue and let Crawford hit him. Benavidez was outboxing Crawford, straight up. Timothy Bradley, Crawford's biggest fan even said it live on broadcast that Benavidez took Crawford's jab away. It took Crawford nearly 7 rounds to figure out he needed to pivot against the one legged fighters bad leg instead of standing there flat footed getting beat punch for punch. Mean Machine was mouth breathing by the end of round 5. He showed stamina issues against Ray Robinson, and he showed he has no footwork at all and can't cut off the ring. What does Crawford the 'supreme' boxer do? He goes out there fights completely flat footed and gets knocked down in the same round BoMac said Crawford would KO him in. Crawford came out fighting a slow fight which favored Mean Machine, all Crawford did was increase his activity level and gas the man out. Simple as that, not pretty but it's effective and it works so I don't knock him for it you do what you have to do to win. Jermell Charlo, who is on my personal P4P list, did this to Harrison in the second fight, even though I felt he won the first one. Brook was repeatedly landing the straight right over and over and over. I was genuinely ALARMED at how many punches Crawford was taking in such a short amount of time. A 'slick' boxer is not supposed to get hit that much. Crawford's adjustment to this was to switch Southpaw and come from a different angle because orthodox he was getting outboxed badly. Brook did exactly what many people said he would do and fold the first time he got hit. He didn't even lose his legs, he just shelled up and laid down. Don't color me impressed by the 'master of adjustments' and 'switch hitting extrodinaire' in Crawford. Almost reminds me of another fighter in his stable that had a gimmick attached to them, something about the matrix or something, it's just that a gimmick. All good championship level fighters make adjustments, hell Oscar Valdez did it last night multiple times against Berchelt(I actually picked Valdez to win this fight). Crawford is a good fighter, but the man lacks defense and for all this talk of his excellent footwork he fights very flat footed most of the time, the only man I have seen him beat behind footwork was Postol and Postol's footwork and ability to cut off the ring is non existent, he is tailor made for someone of Crawford's physical talents. He is an all offense fighter. I have watched a lot of boxing in my life, boxed a little bit myself. I know enough to know that I see him get outboxed for long stretches of his fights and people completely overlook it because he gets stoppages, I also know enough to know his style of fighting is not sustainable. What I see out of Crawford is supreme physical talent and a very long build for his weight class which helps to mask a lot of the flaws in his skills and technique. Like I have told you before, Crawford could win these fights against the PBC welters I'm not saying he can't (except Spence, I'm trying to soften the blow for this one for you now he won't win this fight unless Spence's chin turns to glass overnight which I have no reason to believe it will) hell I think Crawford can beat Porter more convincingly than anyone else has long as he uses his length and keeps Porter at the end of his jab which would be the smart gameplan to use, but that's another thing Crawford doesn't fight behind his jab, he fights behind his power punches, because he is an all offense fighter and routinely gets boxed into brawls and wars with guys. When I look at Crawford I see a guy with supreme physical talent, that covers and masks a lot of the flaws in his skills and technique. He throws punches wide, but since he has long arms as long as the person he is fighting is stationary he can stay out of range most of the time. He drops his hands a lot and leaves his chin up in the air. Not to mention his body is a wide open target. He switches southpaw because I think he doesn't have a lot of power in his left, especially when it is in front which is why he alwys gets outboxed when he is orthodox, he can't keep guys honest with his left in the lead position. Look at his fights, he always hurts his opponent with the right not the left. Kell Brook got stopped with an ugly right hand jab-hook whatever it was. Mean Machine continuous right hands to the body. Benavidez, right uppercut. Khan may have gone down off the left hook, but Crawford stunned him badly with with the straight right immediately before it which had his legs wobbled. Horn was just getting beaten up with his sorry ass, aint no telling what hurt him. I watch a lot of boxing. I understand this sport. I see things that most people don't even think to look for bro.

Pac has beaten a lot of good names. My knock on Pac's career would be he either lost or drew in all of his unification fights, not the competition he faced.

Terence Crawford's run at WW is very underwhelming to put it plainly.

Jeff Horn Jose Benavidez 2019 Amir Khan Mean Machine 2020 Kell Brook The only guy who he looked good against was Horn, the rest of them gave him problems behind some very basic boxing, hell Kell Brook almost had his right eye swollen shut by the end of round 2, Mean Machine knocked him down and they were both using the same punch over and over and over again. I have no problem with what Crawford did pre 147, but if there is an overrated WW champion it is Crawford.

When did people start getting upset at fighters fighting mandatories though? I have no problem with Canelo vs Yildirim, Crawford vs Mean Machine, Spence vs Ocampo etc. because they are mandatories, boxing NEEDS mandatories again IMO.

100% man. Castano is by far the best guy Charlo has been in with IMO. I actually have a feeling Castano takes it on points. Great fight, really looking forward to it. Agree with the bolded. Castano is an all around fighter, he likes to come forward, but he can fight on the backfoot too when he needs to. Plus he is liable to throw 1000+ punches while doing all of it. This is a close fight, Castano is a much better fighter than people on here realize, dude beat Derevyanchenko and Spence in the amatuers. I'm gonna go with Charlo by KO in the 9th or 10th, but I wouldn't be suprised at all if Castano won either. Either way it go looking at the styles they fight with I don't think it's going the distance one way or another.

Derevyanchenko was in the WBS, which is essentially a pro fight. Hell of a fight, shows what kind of dog Castano is. His win against a red hot Soro in Soro's hometown was a very good one that people don't talk about much. I thought early on vs Lara he was a little anxious and getting out boxed, but he ended the fight well and thought he may have edged it out. And then obviously he beat the crap out of Teixeira. He's quality, quality fighter. He's going to win more rounds than Charlo just with his style and activity, but he's also there to be hit. Lara landed some flush shots and if Charlo lands those same shots, can Castano take them? If he does, then this is his fight to lose. If not? Then well he either gets stopped or loses a tight decision due to getting dropped, possibly a few times. His style is why I believe Charlo will win this fight with clean and effective punching. Charlo won't have to chase Castano down, which actually plays into what Charlo wants to do and that is counter him and hit him with combos as he comes in. Granted Charlo also has never had someone who will throw 1000+ punches at him over 12 rounds either. I just can't wait to see it it's gonna be a great fight.

If you followed the amateurs back in the mid 2000s you would definitely no that bud has been dropped multiple times, Keith Thurman was dropped in the amateurs alot as well, which is why it wasn't surprising to see Manny drop him, in fact the only two top welterweight that wasn't dropped in the amateurs, is spence and Danny garcia, they haven't been dropped as pros either, you don't just magically grow a chin, you usually have one as a amateur and a pro Yup. A lot of the guys I've run across who were in the amatuers with Crawford are legit shocked how far he has come as a pro, because he was not a stand out amatuer, nobody thought he would make it to where he has and it's mainly because they doubt his chin and defense.

Crawford and Ortiz both had a hard time with Kavaliauskas. Is Kavaliauskas actually good or are Crawford and Ortiz overrated? I wonder how would Pacquiao, Spence or Porter deal with Mean machine. Mean Machine is not a 12 round fighter. I said that during the Crawford fight he gassed badly by the end of round 5. Mean Machine has decent timing and above average pop on his punches. He is slow of foot with average handspeed, and his body is as soft as a marshmallow and his stamina is dogshit. Spence would handily beat him due to his body attack qnd unlimited gas tank, more likely stop him earlier than Crawford or Ortiz did because he focuses on the body the entire fight, Crawford didn't start focusing on his.body until around round 5 and Ortiz didn't until round 6, but as soon as you attack Mean Machine's body he is gonna go down. Pac and Porter would simply overwhelm him Mean Machine wouldn't be able to keep up with them. I could see Mean Machine being a very tough night at the office for Danny Garcia maybe, he could beat Ugas maybe. I just don’t think the guy is built to be a 12 round fighter at the championship level. All the flaws he showed against Splenda Ray Robinson are still there and apparently aren't going anywhere, he is a 6 round fighter.

Pac-Spence will go a long way to answering this question. In the past the young lion beats the old lion. Pac beat the young lion two years ago in Thurman. This whole generations reputation lies on the winner of this fight. If Pac wins this is probably the weakest era ever. If Spence wins, then we would need to see the outcome of Spence-Crawford to determine how strong it is.
