Eroll Spencer Junior is not in my opinion a spiteful monstrous puncher, his strength is situated in his stamina and physical strength. Out of Thurman & Crawford? Spence Junior is the strongest physically. Keith Thurman maybe hits harder than Crawford with a single punch, but overall Terrence Crawford is the most spiteful and violent of them all.
If somebody hits Terrence Crawford, you can see him visibly being insulted by that 'And then he wants to get them back'. Usually you don't see that kind of reaction in elite level fighters, I can only recall that in fighters such as Nigel Benn and probably Mike Tyson during the late 80's and 90's.
If Terrence Crawford as woken up today, with the intention of stopping Shawn Porter 'But sure that, he is going to put all his efforts into doing just that' from all angles and positions, he will be subjecting Porter to heavy bombardment'
I think deep down Terrence Crawford is only coming for a stoppage win, in his mind 'That is the objective'.
If Crawford stops Porter, it will be between rounds 9-12.
So this was my original predication. Although at the last moment, due to how drained Crawford looked at the weigh in 'I did give Porter a outside chance of at-least going the distance'.
I did not actually watch the fight, but will catch it later.
Sometimes when you are not deeply involved in the fight, you can analyse the potential action more objectively.
Overall, Shawn Porter is the america version of Derek Chisora but slightly more sophisticated. Yes he is tough and game, but he really does not have elite level skills. In fact I would say that Derek Chisora at what he does, is closer more to elite level 'Chisora is just a straight up offensive, rough house, inside fighter'. Where as Porter is slightly more sophisticated and has more variation to his game, Porter is not advanced enough to beat the super elite.
Different types of power but I think Bud is more heavy handed than both of them. Thurman just has decent handspeed I don't think he punches all that hard the whole one-time moniker just needs dropping at this stage. Seems too sting guys early with his speed then losses his pop, he doesn't carry his power well.
Crawford has better timing and a better punch selection certainly than Thurman and I'd say he did over Spence actually.
I think Spence is longer and busier, maybe a touch more accurate but he doesn't have the timing Bud does or the punch selection.
what WWs are stopping other top WWs? Thurmans power isn’t mythical but it’s respected. He was cracking dudes on the way up and stopped when he fought comp. Exact same thing that happened to GGG. If actions > words then you’re telling me Broner hits harder than Thurman? Also when was Porter “badly hurt” against Spence? He got dropped and went right back at it. He is literally on camera saying that Thurman shut his lights out from a left hook for a split second. He had to grab on to thurman with a full on wrestling hold.
Comparing him to GGG is beyond ridiculous.
Golovkin stopped many top 10 ranked guys. Proksa (#10) Macklin (#6) Stevens (#10) Geale (#4) Rubio (#8) Murray (#6) Lemieux (#4)
Thurman has stopped ZERO top 10 ranked guys. I don’t think he’s even dropped a top 10 guy tbh man. :lol1:
Fighters always lie, every fight they say this was “the best camp I’ve ever had”. :lol1:
Actions > Words.
Who’s the best fighter Thurman has stopped?
IDC what people say about Thurman’s mythical power because he’s never proven it to be legit at the higher levels.

What reason would Garcia have to lie? He said Thurman was harder puncher but Spence was physically stronger. When Porter fought Thurman he said he was the hardest puncher he’d felt to that point. As someone else pointed out, Broner had dropped Porter before and Thurman didn’t. Is Porter a liar now too? Porter said the lights went out for a second against Thurman. He’s a puncher.

Whatchu mean "regardless of Garcia says" LOL he's been in the ring with both and lost to both. He holds no loyalty to either fighter for him to be lying lol
You could look at common opponents. Yeah, Spence scored a flash knockdown on Porter. But Thurman rocked Porter atleast twice in their fight. Spence only rocked him once. Thurman also rocked Garcia once or twice in their fight. Spence did not
You know who else dropped Porter besides Spence? Adrien Broner lol he hit harder than Thurman too?
Yeah, some fighters may lie, but doesn't seem like Danny cares about either Spence or Thurman to lie about who hits harder
Fighters lie man, they lie about sh** all the time.
Explain Bundu then? Thurman went 12 with him and Spence left him unconscious.
Spence had Porter badly hurt too, Thurman never.
Who’s Thurman ever stopped that’s even B level? Collazo maybe? And even that was on cuts. :lol1:
Thurman has never proved his power is legit.
You’re trying to prove a point using the triangle theory.
You’re the one who brought up Garcia… that’s the same triangular comparison.
Thurman has never stopped a decent fighter, IMO his power is a myth, I don’t think he’s a puncher whatsoever tbh. I’ve thought that for close to decade as well and he’s yet to prove me wrong.
Bud has technic and hide his punches well. To think he does't have power is foolish, if anything he holds his power all twelve rounds but his accuracy is his biggest asset. It is the punch that you don't see coming...
Danny Garcia disagrees with you and he’s been in the ring with both guys. He said Thurman hits harder than Spence.
Danny also said that the biggest puncher that he ever felt by far was Matthysse.
People have made this point to me before but guess what? Fighters lie..
Just look at their common opponents.
Garcia- went the distance with both.
Porter- Spence dropped him, Thurman didn’t, both went 12.
Bundu- Spence iced him, Thurman went 12 with him.
Regardless of what Garcia says, the evidence tells us otherwise.

It's easy to look "mean" when you look at his opposition. He could barely get a one-legged Benavidez out of there. spence couldn't get a blown up fat super lightweight in mikey garcia out there spence is supposed to be the biggest puncher at welterweight LOL where was his killer instinct against mikey?

Nah, volume of punches landed can trump single shot power and so can placement of a punch (where the punch lands) and many other things contribute to stopping an opponents. Consistent pressure wears the opponent down also, so that’s yet one more factor that can contribute to stopping an opponent. You’re trying to prove a point using the triangle theory but that doesn’t work in boxing because a fighter’s style is a much much important factor than single punch power. Spence is a volume puncher and pressure fighter, while Thurman is more of a boxer - puncher.
