Berto was stopped by Karrass before Floyd fought him, he was definitely in journeyman territory.
Dude torn his rotator cuff in the first round. And still lasted like 11 rounds. And he was hurt for real, not that fake shit that Manny tried to sell.
Besides I think Floyd didn’t like Berto. Berto said some funny things about Floyd in the past. About him (Berto) talking to people on the phone, with Floyd quite on 3 way. It was so long ago but I remember having a good laugh listening to him tell the story.
Yildrim is about as good as any opponent Bud has fought at Welter. Arguably 140 and 135 as well except for Gamboa.
Is Yildirim even really a top 50 super middleweight? He fought Chris Eubanks, who was barely top 10 at 168. Got absolutely demolished, look at the compubox numbers, just as bad as when canelo fought him. Something like 60-10 in punches, KOd in 3 rounds. When you lose so humiliatingly to a guy who is barely top 10, that means you are nowhere close to the top 10. All the guys Bud fought at Welter would put up a good fight if not get wins against fighters like Sergey Lipinets, hell Jeff Horn beat Pacquiao. I don't even know if Danny Garcia can beat Kelly Brook today.
Mayweather vs Conor Mcgregor
Jones Jr vs Telesco, Woods, Kelley, Frasier (pick any one of those)
Crawford if you're to believe he's #1 p4p vs his entire run at welterweight.
Mayweather wasn’t ranked P4P when he fought McGregor.
Or ranked at all for the matter.
Everybody Bud fought at welterweight is miles better than Yildrim, airhead.

When did people start getting upset at fighters fighting mandatories though? I have no problem with Canelo vs Yildirim, Crawford vs Mean Machine, Spence vs Ocampo etc. because they are mandatories, boxing NEEDS mandatories again IMO.
Fighting mandatories is what has absolutely destroyed boxing. 6 goddamn titles per division and these Mfers are fighting mandatories regularly.
Berto had a higher peak career wise than Yildrim. But at the time fought Floyd fought Berto, Berto was plain and simple garbage and washed up.
And was still a better fighter than Yildrim...........
he fought callum 2 months before yirdim and saunders two months after yirdim, and before the end of the year he would have fought all champions in his division in less than 12 months, but eith, lets ignore that if it suits the agenda...

No duh, Yildirim is an awful fighter, but Canelo fighting him somehow is SOO bad that he deserves all of this criticism. Come on now, Canelo is about to fight an undefeated, elite level, Southpaw boxer next month. The excuses first were, Canelo doesn't fight undefeated fighters. Then it was, Canelo doesn't fight elite boxers with high IQ. Then its now Canelo refuses to fight undefeated Black or Latino fighters. I mean this is getting ridiculous. Canelo is on a European tour collecting all of the belts that Andrade and Charlo and Benavidez weren't willing to step up and fight for (i.e. Benavidez wasn't disciplined enough to keep his title smh). This is not to say that I don't like the Charlos or Andrade but they seem content, Canelo out here collecting straps and all everyone does is hate, watch out we gotta make a post about stopping the Canelo hate!
Berto is a much, much better fighter than Yildrim. At least be honest.
in the past, yeah, sure, but at the moment of the fight he was hot garbage, i mean, dude, he was getting his ass kicked by josesito lopez, had to be saved by the ref with a bs stoppage lol
