His technique is poor though, he's also slow and has poor balance - he's not a well co-ordinated athlete, just a tough mofo with a great engine, great belief and chin
Yeah he does telegraph it - in fact it was his undoing in that 4th round vs Taylor - he tried to throw it and before it could land, Taylor threw that right hook bang on the chin that sent Froch crashing against the ropes and the next punch knocked him down.
There's no doubt his chin has improved at 140.
I mean, you don't go from being knocked down by Limond to surviving a 10th mauling from a guy like Maidana, even if his power is maybe slightly overated
Don't know why everyone has Chavez 4th and 5th on their lists...he was a punch or 2 away from knocking the number 1 guy out regardless of how 2nd best he was on the night.
Vitali has more power than it appears on TV - it looks like he's landed "soft" punches but he's naturally heavy handed so those "soft" looking punches are actually really powerful. Remember Arreola saying "f*ck, he hits hard!"
Kelly Pavlik was another guy who was very heavy handed - with power you couldn't appreciate unless you were hit by it
