If any off this was true/official etc then great while their at it they should also scrap the WBC as well for all it's worth, if it were up to me I would just have it the WBO and IBF belts in each division that's it and scrap the WBC/WBA and IBO belts all together..
Fight does not really make much sense, but then again if there was a profit or money factor to be made from it I could see Floyd taking up the offer to fight him I mean with his name alone it would draw mass attention....
two different fighters and skills/stances etc one is more accomplished p4p through out different divisions with multiple belts and retired undefeated amassing fortunes albeit he is also arrogant but that's another matter. The other is a young champion currently making more off a name racking up victories and cruising through his division the question is how long will his dominance endure? only time will tell..
More experience in the Amateur ranks due to restrictions in their nation I guess so when they get a chance to turn Pro or enter those ranks it's later on in their careers for a lot off them? some perform well in the Pro ranks too in the past..

….kind off on top making a bet in where one exiles the forum based on the outcome off an upcoming fight is it not? makes more sense to do a points or say avatar/sig bet instead no? and save face for next time?
ah well the question is IF the bet is honored or not after the outcome is another matter, kind off silly I guess doing this but whatever makes you guy's happy..
:crucified
it sucks big time without a doubt..
but what can you do really pandemic times anything is possible I guess I just hope it does not carry on repeating with lockdowns..
sooner mass vaccinations and some form off normality the better we can see UK fights again..
:boxing:
I personally think 2 unification can be fun but 4 is way to much your thoughts?
I believe 2 belts per division is the answer and here is my own opinion as to why..
- 2 belts are easier to have unification bouts with
- more belts you have more you have to pay for organizations and have mandatory bouts etc for e.g. if you were to have the WBC/WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO belts you would have to vacate one or more belts sooner or later because off all the fees and face the mandatory challengers..
- Lastly too many belts per division is no good, they should scrap the WBA/WBC and IBO because their off no use..
Instead keep the IBF and WBO belts as they seem the lesser evil out off the five since the WBC and WBA are mostly crooked....plus the IBO well I don't really see the big relevance with them tbh..
Don't get me wrong IBF has a sketchy past too with some off it's past champions but I'd rather them and the WBO remain..
If they both fought different fights on the same night who would have higher ratings ?
Heh strong possibility because the Tyson brand be it you love him or hate him/find him controversial will always draw most peoples attention..
Selling PPVs for Tyson in his day was easy work, now he would still sell but depending on how much interest the bout draws is another thing..
interesting it seems teddy has lost interest in the sweet science and has decided to move on his interests into the Octagon? hmmm well I wonder how it works out for him
Mark my words. Lopez will expose Lomachenko.Lopez by TKO.
I wouldn't go that far after all he has achieved in such a short time in his professional career up to now.
I'll admit at first I disliked the hype and all the praise Lomachenko was receiving at first I thought some amateur is getting all this praise in the professional ranks already and was happy at the time he lost to salido when they fought.
But then he bounced back and continued winning fights/winning belts and making more off a name for himself in ring so in that term i'd say he has earned some off the hype and has accomplished a fair amount up till now which many fighters have not been able to do so...
if Lopez wins it will be a big victory for him in general, I reckon this will be nothing short of entertaining and competitive, either way It will be a fight to keep an eye on hard to pick for me personally who will pull off the win..
Maybe he sees potential and talent....some will go further and progress others well maybe not so much but it is good to see some talent coming out off the Asian community in the boxing ranks for a change, This news Must seem to irritate some people in here given their already cracking jokes about glass jaws and inbreeding
Floyd Mayweather fighting a f***ing Youtuber. :lol1:
What’s happening with this sport man? It’s becoming embarrassing being a boxing fan. It’s just such a circus now.
The saddest thing is more people will probably buy this than the amount of people who would buy Spence-Crawford. What does that say about our sport guys? How come people wanna watch an unskilled, untrained, untalented YouTuber but aren’t interested in watching a highly skilled elite fighter.
Boxing is honestly becoming a joke, and it’s only getting worse year upon year.
Maybe Floyd wants to make an example off the guy he's fighting and also make a nice big pay check out off it in the process you know business wise so then he can say this is what happens when an amateur tries taking on a seasoned Pro?
No chance, he’ll carry the kid. Look what he did for McGregor...
eh who knows maybe he will toy with him kind off like how a cat does with its prey before it devours it...
Who is more famous and who is the A side fighter in this situation ?
He is the unified heavyweight champion..
Fury is the WBC Heavyweight champion..
one could argue that Fury is more the interest or draw for people to watch but for a fight as big as this 50/50 would be better off but then again it depends on negotiations within both camps or promotions...
one could argue 60% of the fight purse/gate could go to the winner and 40% goes to the loser but I doubt either off them would want to go for that..
He is building himself up through out the ranks and if a bout with Alvarez or one off the other champions takes place then win or lose he stepped up whether people like him or not at least he is attempting to excel in his career even if things are down to speculation at this point....
I've been following Alvarez fights since I first saw him on the Pacquiao vs Margarito undercard..
And I must say he has just carried on moving on the up and up taking on majority off the challengers and the best in his respective divisions...
Does the man have flaws and sometimes do things which people disagree with? sure no doubt but you can't deny his achievements and the attention he draws to his fights he gets most off even the casual viewers interest..
But I digress people will always call out or say fault against him as the hardcore detractors will always have something to say against him regardless to who he beats and whichever belts he unifies/retains or accomplishes.....personally I'm happy to see his career has gotten to where it has
Truth is Larry here is my take on it....
its easy for Boxing or say even MMA fans to slate or call out fighters or criticise but then again we are not the ones getting our faces pummelled in or our bodies being punished/beaten to a bloody pulp...
I know there is a strong sense off warrior mentality or the whole do or die attitude which comes with the territory but sometimes some one hits their limit or the fight is ruled over.....Billy Joe Saunders suffered a broken orbital bone and was deemed unfit to continue from such an injury...
People will slate or call him every name under the sun but the way I see it any fighter be it Amateur or Pro takes a big risk when they go into the ring and fight that alone takes a lot to do...
Has Billy Joe Saunders said or done questionable things/acts in the past? sure and was I happy to see Canelo win? indeed but I'm not going to rip into the man he went there did the fight knowing the risk and lost.....the end
I mean...
Anything is possible being boxing and all, but lets face it their both fighters off a different weight division..
If Crawford moved up in weight or say Charlo moved down weight and some how Crawford beat Charlo people would say something like "Charlo was always overrated he got beat by a guy who was not even a light middleweight"
Or if Say Charlo was to beat Crawford people would say "Charlo is going around picking on smaller guys who were not even in the same division as him to secure an easier victory"
eh?
only time will tell but I personally hope he is not broke, say what you want or think about him and his promotions but it would be sad to see him go broke or golden boy promotions ends up being dissolved I personally have enjoyed some off their fights/cards they made over the years..
Hmmm I wonder what trick/ace old bob arum has up his sleeve at this moment off time? if its a fight against say someone like Spence or Porter then I get that...
People are either biased or have different views or opinions depending on ones prospective, if golovkin was in fact washed up he would pretty much be on the tail end off losses in his recent fights or even not being able to perform nearly half as good as he used to...
he has demonstrated neither lately so ergo he is very much still going strong in the ring.....my take on it anyway but i'd love to see him face off with charlo
sometimes deflection or pointing out others faults or short comings make others forget about certain fighters draw backs.....kind off like sweeping issues under the rug so to speak
I made this thread became the WBA said in the press release that they are going to consider prior jr beltholders as #1 contenders.(just for the record I consider ggg a skillful elite champ who was among the best of his era)
Duly noted I see you're point and I also commented on that thread because it was about time the WBA did something correct instead off their usual stupidity which they seem to do, I wasn't criticising or downplaying you're thread I think it's a valid question given the recent circumstances and changes in the organisation but I doubt it will effect past fights title defences since the changes are taking effect now in the present.
A comeback fight after over a decade being retired, He might just get hurt or look a little sloppy at times form wise but I hope it does not mean he gets hurt at least severely etc because lets face it ring rust is very much real...
