he has retired, it is official.
his wife just had another baby, it seems as though his perspective has changed.
Good for him, he got out at the top, is financially comfortable and has his wits about him.
I would love someone to explain to me who Mundine has beat. The guy has been beaten down whenever he has stepped up in class.
Name some good opponents that he has beaten? That's right NONE!
stay on point dude, this thread aint about Mundine, although certain posters have hijacked it to talk about Mundine (cough Ult cough).
do you think Miranda is overrated?
which is y i think he should fight LAcy
Lacy or Bika would be fan friendly fights and would give a true guide of where Miranda's place in the division is IMO.
Frank Warren is in the Hall of Fame now for fucks sake. If Frank Warren is in there I wouldn't be all that upset if Gatti got in.
But ideally it should be only the best that make it and on merit Gatti doesn't fit that bill.
Enzo Maccarinelli would beat him up.
It's funny how all these pussies are calling David Haye out after he's said there's no chance of him fighting at cruiserweight ever again.
Haye also said he would never fight at Cruiserweight again after the Mormeck fight as well, stranger things have happened dude.
i dont see how people can see a knockout (and an early one at that) as an inconclusive result somehow. Macca WAS exposed. He was never near hayes level, he just thought he was because all his biggest fights (clinton woods, jonny nelson etc) never happened. i dont doubt that he'll be back (frank warren fighters tend to get swindled, i doubt macca has retirement moeny yet), id imagine a legit european title would be a good next move for him, he needs to build his way back up to world class and then pray for a shot against a bell or RJJ or someone.
totally agree dude, excellent post.
No f---ing way :/
Yes way, Jeff has lost 16 kgs in the last 2 months and is around 66kgs and he looks great.
Not a fight I want to see though but father time would be on Jeff's side here, he is 43 whilst Azumah is 49 (I have no idea what type of shape Nelson is in)
did you watch jones' last fight? if not get to it. he doesn't need his fast feet. he has his new winky wright glove defense. and don't tell me you think miranda is better than trinidad. even though he didn't fight for awhile, I still say the trini that was in the ring with jones has more skill than miranda and he might not have miranda's power, but he still has the power to ko so if he couldn't land the punch to ko jones, neither will miranda.
Good post. I'd most likely pick Trinidad over Miranda as well. He showed surprisingly good head movement in the Jones fight.
I like Booth and I like Haye, they have both got Haye to the point where he is better technically than anyone is Calzaghe's stable...but Calzaghe. Trying to dissect Calzaghe is something for a superior fighter/trainer, neither Haye, nor Booth are anywhere near that and frankly, they look a bit stupid for trying.
Are you for real?
So only those superior to Calzaghe are allowed to try and dissect Calzaghe because anyone else who is inferior to Cazaghe is silly for trying?
that is absurd.:nonono:
Tarver is aging sure, but let's see Kessler in his comeback fight before calling him light heavy king for now.
Kessler hasn't fought at light heavy period. Hell, he hasn't fought since Cal beat him.
I'd have to see him after he lost to make an accurate judgement.
Tarver's problem is consistency, you don't know which Tarver will show up.
Will it be the Tarver that got embarrassed by Hopkins and given a hard fight by Muriqui or will it be the Tarver who has done the work and can box for a full 12 ala the Woods fight.
Fighters have done this for a long time, you want the title you need to beat the champ on the champs terms. Look at Sven Ottke, the guy never fought outside of Germany. Not too sure why you are singling out Molitor here, he is part of a long list of many.
Sorry can't agree, Katsidis wanted Juan Diaz, Diaz had contractual arrangement with Don King so he had to fight Campbell, Katsidis takes on the guy who he feels is the number two guy Casamayor. The guy never ducked anyone.
I am not really sure what the point of this thread is dude?
But he's not, he is looking to take the next best fight after Diaz which in his mind is Casamayor. I'm pretty confident he doesn't care about the ring title, but rather fighting the best.
I think $$$ might also come into this. Katsidis/Casamayor would most like generate much more coin than Katsidis/Santa Cruz and these guys are trying to make a living.
anyone know what GBP is paying these two?
Unfortunelty, I think all the judges will be massivly paid off before the fight, as long as ODLH is standing after 12, the fight is his.
Agree with this 100%
Yea i think there was 1 UFC PPV that broke 1 million, but UFC doesnt generate nearly as much money as boxing does yet.
And can someone explain how UFC makes nearly ALLLL of their cards PPV, yet nobody complains?????????
they don't. they have other events that go free to air such as UFN's, its only the UFC number whatever that are ppvs.
