Show some love on his fanvid pls, if u want to. It's got Tom Petty music on it too :D
Anyway, much love to Enz, just fightin his corner. xx
It seems like a lot of foreign fighters are coming into american music in attempts to help them win over american audiences. The heavyweight unification match also featured american music that neither fighter looked like they had heard before.

the refs job is to prevent either boxer coming to seious harm though, the fact that macca wasnt carried off on a stetcher proves that he did a good job. i bet you're the sort of guy who watches boxing just to see people get hurt. . . smh
i dont see how people can see a knockout (and an early one at that) as an inconclusive result somehow. Macca WAS exposed. He was never near hayes level, he just thought he was because all his biggest fights (clinton woods, jonny nelson etc) never happened. i dont doubt that he'll be back (frank warren fighters tend to get swindled, i doubt macca has retirement moeny yet), id imagine a legit european title would be a good next move for him, he needs to build his way back up to world class and then pray for a shot against a bell or RJJ or someone.
totally agree dude, excellent post.
He was fighting fairly well and rocked Haye notably in the first round with a hook. He won the first round easily enough on my card, but Haye KO'd him... so there isn't much to say.
He didnt rock Haye the man just stumbled across his feet, He did cut haye though when his left hook caught Haye.

I'll be honest, i had a lump in my throat when has was trying to straighten up after he got blitzed by the Hayemaker, but he was never going to recover from that onslaught. Huge respect for Enzo, but he was at the wrong place, at the wrong time. He was exposed as the ordinary fighter that he is, a WBO champion who was spoon fed easy opponents by Frank Warren. It makes me wonder why any fighter signs up with him?
That got him 2 belts and an huge payday. Count on more of those types of fighters if no proper rules come to boxing. Tittle fights are BS nowadays. Macca should never been in there. Like Haye said, he's in a different class.
Mark my words Maccarinelli froze.
He will beat Cunningham with ease.
Watch the two, Haye fight aside. Enzo might even stop USS.
I think he did too, He wasnt relax at all..He came worried about Haye right hand landing when he too has so many good offensive about him that could worry Haye, The best form of defence is to attack. He would definitely be back.

This fight mirrors the Tsyzu/Judah fight, Judah had a good first round until he got caught in the second round, Instead of taking a knee he wanted to show his heart by holding unto the ropes, The referee cannot be blamed in that circumstance it would be really unfair to blame the ref.
Cunningham is a protected fighter? He has fought twice in Poland and once in Germany against hometown favorites. How in the hell is that a protected fighter?
:ugh:
I was going to say the samething until i read your post, Cunningham is far from a protected fighter.
I don't buy this theory that Enzo was exposed as an average fighter. He was more than holding his own in the first round and actually landed a couple of hurtful punches, but then he got caught flush with that monster right hand...twice! I want to know who people think could have taken that right hand and survived, because I can't think of anyone who could. (maybe Toney) If that is getting exposed then a hell of lot fighters would be exposed after that as well.
Regarding some of the discussion here; at the moment Haye was connecting with the final right hand he should have been in the neutral corner as the ref was issuing a count to Maccarinelli. That was MASSIVE.
Nobody will ever know exactly how badly Maccarinelli was hurt before that last punch he took. He was COMPLETELY DEFENSELESS and the referee showed GROSS INCOMPETENCE.
Couldn't agree more, I was telling my girl that as we watched the fight, the ref should have stepped in and gave him an 8 count!!!!

Had Enzo taken a knee after the first shot that nearly put him down, he would have had enough wits about him to get the jab going, and with Hayes eye as busted up as it was it could have been a totally different story.
He hit him with three bombs in the 2nd round.
I mean if he went down from the first one, it would have looked a bit silly. Macca is all heart. From the first punch, his chin was hung out to dry. It was a shame, I felt bad for him.
Went out on his shield. Like a man.
He could have tied him up, in the few clinches they were in Enzo was pushing David backwards. Obviously a very strong fella. Maybe Enzo should have got closer, though he was landing jabs. Haye wouldn't be able to put him on the end of a bomb.
I dunno, I think Haye is just the better fighter in reality, though Macca most times does better than he did.

Enzo is probably being incredibly hard on himself. I don't think anyone else needs to get on him and I'm sure he wouldn't notice or care. This is a hard game. Enzo has to live with this for the rest of his life. It takes guts to risk that kind of fate.. The nightmare is here. It's all or nothing in this sport.
He didn't pull the trigger. At least he doesn't have to feel the shame of knowing he couldn't have won. He could have, he just didn't act.
Only a small man would lament a fractional split. Milliseconds are milliseconds.

he'll fight in Wales against Enzo then.
Should be good.
