Lol, when Duran is on his A game, he beat Leonard on his A game.
In the rematch SRL, had to scout Duran to see if the rumors were true, that he was extremely out of it partying, gaining way too much weight. He said it himself, that he made clear that he sought to make the rematch as soon as possible so duran had to work hard to get back down in time of the rematch.
However, this is not to say SRL was not as good as Duran, both of them have some of the best resume's in boxing, the talent in there is incredible.
This ^^^^^
That's the equivalent of 2 million PPV buys in the U.S. if you take into account the population of both countries. Even free fights on the U.S. don't have 2 million views.
Panama, a small country of 3 million has had a total of 29 world champions throughout history (probably the most by any country per capita!) and most of its champions have had a classic elusive/slick style, from panama al brown to ismael laguna tu eusebio pedroza to hilario zapata to chemito moreno, most recently. And even duran, who is regarded by casuals as a heavy handed brawler, was a very well rounded boxer himself, slick if he had to, great jab, probably one of the most complete boxers of all time!
Well Angulo Vs Lara was exciting, i give you that, but...
Lara Vs Delvin Rodriguez = boring
Lara Vs Ishe Smith = boring
Lara Vs Canelo Alvarez = boring
Lara Vs Vanes Martirosyan = boring
Lara Vs Freddy Hernandez = less boring, but still boring
Lara Vs Paul Williams = good fight
Vs Trout it was a hell of a show by lara, tremendous and exciting performance. Love how you conveniently forgot that one..
He's a criminally corrupt foul version of a Politician and I don't give a fuk if he like ballet ... He's a fraud and traitor to those who ignorantly vote for him and a traitor to the American people. .... PERIOD!!!!
Do your research .......
Here he is meeting with ISIS leaders as they plan their carnage on humanity.

And don't even bother asking other soldiers that were captive during the Vietnam war about McCain.
It has also been claimed by retired Army Colonel Earl Hopper, admittedly without any corroborating evidence apart from what might be contained in inaccessible Pentagon files, that ***8220;McCain told his North Vietnamese captors, highly classified information, the most important of which was the package routes, which were routes used to bomb North Vietnam. He gave in detail the altitude they were flying, the direction, if they made a turn***8230; he gave them what primary targets the United States was interested in***8230;the information McCain provided allowed the North Vietnamese to adjust their air-defenses. As result***8230;the US lost sixty percent more aircraft and in 1968 called off the bombing of North Vietnam, because of the information McCain had given to them.***8221;

You damnn right bruh... He met with neonazis in ukraine to install them in power and he was supporting muslim radicals (units of al qaeda included) in syria just to overthrow assad. These were nigg*rs that were coming into towns and burning christian churches, and taking people that were not of their religious beliefs as hostages, all with the blessing of john mccain and others, all because they had a commercial/geo political interest in syria (same thing in ukraine), and all these radicals that the americans, saudis and turkish supported in syria later evolved into what is now isis, which controls a great part of the syrian territory, all with the help of the arms provided to them by the americans saudis and turkish to overthrow assad. Isis = american invasion of iraq + support of civil war in syria (which i dont know if it should even be called that because at the end many of those radicals were not even from syria, they were coming from all over).
He has a soft spot for boxing though. Everything and everyone in life has positive aspects and negative aspects. The boxing related legislation and lobby is the only positive stuff I've seen from him, so props to him for that only.
As everything the feds do, they had an interest in investigating FIFA: 1. They were pissed off that Qatar took the world cup 2022 from the USA, and; 2. They are pissed that the next world cup is going to be in Russia, do to their beef they got going on with Putin. Why in the hell would they be interested in bad judging in boxing? Do you really think the feds act purely because it is a good cause? lol
Boxing IS big in Jamaica there are many Gyms that have been around for a long time that champions have trained out of. The difference is IMO comes down to money, when your a third world country with poverty the competing values are; box for free or do something to make money. Making money almost always wins.
Furthermore the government doesn't do a good job of funding sports so you don't get an amateur base like you have in Cuba. Most Jamaicans who have boxed professionally usually get their start in countries like the US, UK and Canada.
In that sense, for example Nicholas Walters, who's a very good fighter from Jamaica, fights out of Panama, a Country where there's a lot of boxing activity. He has been living, training and fighting in Panama since his career started back in 2008.
Remember the money distribution for the networks was proportional to the distribution for the whole may/pac teams. So 1. Showtime did more than that, and; 2. In that case it was arum/pac who ripped off HBO, as each camp was responsible for the distribution of the revenue among themselves.
Dont read his shiet, I dont.
I went into twitter and saw a couple of tweets from him, one refering to last night's fight as "that sewage", and another one comparing it to garcia-salka and how at least garcia knocked out salka (which is downright ignorant as brand may be slow and sloppy but he's awkward and knows how to fight + has a good chin) and I tweeted him back a few things he didn't like and now he blocked me lol so he saved me that job.
At the end we all knew last night's fight was a tune up to get ward rounds before the big showdown, if you don't like it don't watch it, dan rafael's disrespect towards the fighters is just plain wrong and unnecessary
He's mandatory to jezreel corrales, the 24 yr old kid from Panama who just won the WBA title in Japan. Should be a great clash, and whoever comes out of it victorious is solidified as one of the top dogs in the division.
Panama Al Brown
Kid Gavilan
Roberto Duran
Carlos Monzon
Wilfredo Gomez
Alexis Arguello
Julio Cesar Chavez
Finito Lopez
Juan Manuel Marquez
Erik Morales
They should just do it at Wembley. KOing Khan in front of 100k ppl in his home country will just increase Pac's legend and the fight would do great business over there in the UK.
you mean al bernstein, merchant, roy jones, harold lederman. ok then.
Did roy and bernstein say he got ROBBED? maybe said it was close, that's ok. Merchant is an old shot anyways. Lederman was awful with the scoring.
what surprised me too is how little auto critical has kovalev been, he has basically complained like a kid without giving any credit to ward or looking at his errors, I hope that's for the public only cause he needs adjustments if this rematch is going down.
Weeks was a disgrace, never even warned wlad for holding during the whole fight, and then took a point off fury for I don't know what. And now this... he should be investigated... and furys team should def ensure they have stuff like this covered for the rematch, it would be a damn shame if he loses his title in the rematch due to unfair reffing or judging
