PBC on Spike TV bombed...

I agree Lara will never be a household name Haymon will have to put the bigger names on Spike for them to replicate the ratings for Khan vs Algieri The Lara's of this world are simply not going to cut it Anything below 500k is bad in my book Considering the number of subscribers, any PBC show on any of their networks should out draw the average boxing card on either Premium cable station, HBO or Showtime.

I actually wouldent mind that and will actually be intrigued by it. I'm one of the biggest Kirkland fans there is, but he needs to retire. He has zero punch resistance and he is slurring his speech. I don't want to see the man take anymore damage than he already has. Even hypotheticaly speaking it is a terrible matchup for James. He is ****ing horrible at cutting the ring off and his swarming style would find air all night against Lara. He obviously has a punchers chance, but that is all.

I watched it. Enjoyed it. Dont care what others watched in their household. you should. PBC is changing the TV landscape for american boxing, and the matches are awful.

Not really surprising especially as the main event stunk as a match-up. I watch a stupid amount of boxing and I have yet to see the Lara-Rodriguez fight, which shows just how bad a match-up this was that even I didn't watch it. Don't watch it. It was boring as hizell. I like Lara actually but it was a one-sided schooling. No reason to watch..

It wasn't the most exciting fight, but I blame Delvin as much as Lara. Delvin barely threw anything iirc, that made for an extremely un-eventful fight with only Lara throwing and really doing anything. It's true that, with the right opponent, someone like Lara or Rigo can put on a good fight. Look at Rigo vs Amagasa or Lara vs Angulo. Lara also at fault. He had every opportunity to put him away, but never put his foot on the pedal and was content to just boxing at his pace and winning

They need to put on better fights and do better promotion for the fights. That or set up a tournament of some kind that gives fans a reason to stick around. Lara is better as a main event "opponent" than he is a main event "headliner".

I watched it. Enjoyed it. Dont care what others watched in their household. Well thats good for you. However it does affect Lara's chances of landing another fight on cable TV, especially as a headline.

Not surprised by this at all... but they probably paid out the ass for this... especially with Bieber on the card. He supposedly got a huge deal

Lara vs. Rodriguez... 446,000 viewers. 42% decrease from Khan vs. Algieri. Which I don't think is too big of a shock considering both Khan and Algieri are bigger names than Lara and Rodriguez, but the numbers are certainly disappointing. Lara's been in some exciting fights with the right opponent. Putting him in there with Ishe Smith and Delvin Rodriguez isn't going to excite anyone. The Angulo fight was really fun. Two different styles, a fighter with a pretty big sized fan base. Put him in there with Kirkland and you'll see Lara shine. I actually wouldent mind that and will actually be intrigued by it.

There is a very select few people on this planet that enjoy watching Lara fight. When Lara is the A side, you got yourself a problem.

Haymon better get his sht straight or else he will sink. He needs to hire a matchmaker and start putting fights that people want to see. Roc Nation and Al Haymon will fail the way SMS Promotions failed In the end it will still be Top Rank and GBP with possibly Mayweather Promotions

That fight was tough to watch, I'm not surprised people didn't tune in.
