i disagree a gift against kov and a win vs a shot kessler aint doing it for me mr crawford has that title He's good but working off a blown up Gamboa win and overmatched pistol win. I like him a lot but he ain't been doing it for years against the caliber of competition Dre has. And whether you put him top 1 or top 5 he's proven his merit

In a close fight the Knockdown AND the simple fact that Kovalev was the reigning champ should mean something. Those two factors should have given the nod to Kovalev IMO. If there was no knockdown or the fight was for a vacant belt, then i'd have less of an issue with the result. You have to be straight up CRAZY to believe that Ward being a USA Olympic Gold Medalist, Kovalev being Russian and the fact that Floyd is no longer active in Vegas was not an influence in this as well.

It's cool, I'm not taking it the wrong way but I must say that the concept has weak legs (no offense). Why would people see a guy get dropped by the Krusher and then be convinced, "Ward has got this!" ? You could make an argument that if the rounds were reversed, Ward would have been seen as the certain winner by most up until the 11th (where the KD would be if we reversed things) and they'd have a hard time giving it to Kovalev. But, it didn't happen that way. I thought Ward was done after the 2nd and didn't think he was going to have much of a chance until we got to the end and I realized he had actually collected enough rds to win. Through the middle of the fight I was just waiting for Sergey to put Andre away but I still made it a point to score it fairly because I figured we'd all be talking it. We already knew the DKSAB crowd and their collective reaction was no surprise. They saw that KD and clutched onto the idea of victory like a kid with a lollipop. kovalev ward has beenn A DISGRACE to the sport of boxing. All judges involved that night should be banned from the sport.

It has helped identify all human beings who dksab, meaning anyone who is claiming kovalev got robbed... Ward clearly dominated from 6th round on... he bossed the fight completely. Devastating to the body btw.. that really took a toll on kovalev plus the frustration, it wears you down mentally. so kovalev didn't win a single round on your card after round 6?

But the 3 judges favoured the most extrem Ward way, and this in america being american judges, that's why I'm calling it an hometown decision. Overall, Kovalev beat Dre to the punch, he also grabbed a couple of rounds in the second half of the fight.
