I'm not sure if that's true but he definitely hits with comparable power if not harder. The guy hits like an absolute mofo, I had a headache watching him pound on N'Dam(n). He still lacks in the boxing department so I favour GGG to beat him. But he has serious power and if he hits you in the chin, "brother you are going down"!
I personally think Lemieux shouldn't fight GGG yet, I'd like to see it but Lemieux has already had two career setbacks and you've just become champion so fight a few mandatories and then consider fighting the number 1 guy.
lemieux throws his bombs harder and more often
BUT
golovkin has better timing
and i think that timing is what makes the difference..
say lemule 10/10 power, ggg 9/10 power
but lemule timing 4/10, ggg 8/10. YENNOE?
Remember guys this comparison is purely power, not who's a better boxer or who'd win in a fight. Golovkin of course throws his puches better from a trxhnical point of view but Lemieux puts his whole body behind every damn punch!:boxing:
It doesn't matter what ODLH has to say, because he will not put Lemieux in the ring to fight GGG.
It's all horse sh*t.

It's silly for you to say you can't use Rubio as a guage! If Rubio fought some gruelling battles in between and was knocked down or viciously KO'd in between then you may have an argument.
But Rubio hasn't had any of those in between and was relatively fresh for a guy his age, Garcia had him looking good! The only loss in between was to Junior and that fight was ridiculous
You're right... 3 years in boxing between fights is nothing. :nutkick:
You can't use Rubio as a gage. GGG fought a 3 year older Rubio.
Im not taking sides on this cause it's impossible for us to know who REALLY hits harder but I think it's stupid to use Rubio as a gage.

But let me add,
Lemi throws and uses his whole ****ing body. Against N'Dam he was winging and yeah man he has immense power, but he's using his whole frames momentum, where as GGG throws perfect hooks with the normal and proper amount of swivel and shoulder and hits just has hard, so proofs in the pudding. GGG hits harder as he doesn't have to throw his whole body with his shots.
He might who's to say.. I mean he's clearly more of a explosive puncher where as Golovkin is more of a George Foreman Roberto Duran type, heavy handed fighter.
That doesn't mean he's the better fighter, Golovkin very well rounded!
He might have a lil more power but the question will be who can take the others power and keep on bringing the thunder???? I favor Golovkin but I really wanna see this fight. Hope it gets made. HBO will have this to go Cotto Canelo. Two great fights right there.
He might but who cares. Randall Bailey is the hardest hitting welterweight imo but he still sucks. Power isn't evrything. And like Curtis Stevens, Lemieux hits hard but in everything else else's either average or below average. This is not a dangerous fight, Idc how u guys try to dress it up.
Go ask Rubio who hits harder.
If Lemieux hit as hard as Golovkin would Rubio have stopped Lemieux? I doubt N'Dam sees the final bell either.
Still, Lemieux is the most dangerous fight out there at 160 and below for Golovkin, he has the best chance of beating him.

I don't believe he hits harder but it's close.
The difference is Lemieux has a suspect chin and throws wild and wide punches. Golovkin has a very good chin, throws compact shots while being perfectly balanced.
I think it seems like Lemieux hits harder because he puts everything into almost every shot. He doesn't set things up and use throw away punches like Golovkin does. Hard to say though but I wouldn't for sure say he definitely does.
I believe that's because GGG is a better boxer than Lemieux, he can cut off the ring a lot better and is more accurate so he can land those shots. Lemieux winds up with everything but misses a lot.
Agree. I would give Lemieux the edge in power.
Who is the IBF mandatory?
There is none.
Hell yea he does.
GGG's more accurate though.
Man I hope this fight happens soon.
I want to see GGG's recuperative skills after he gets dropped.
You will not see GGG get dropped against Lemieux. His strongest shots are those wild haymakers he throws and he will never land one of those against Golovkin unless GGG wants to see if he can take it. I think it would take a 100% clean shot from Stevenson or Kovalev to knock him off his feet and even then, maybe not.

"He shouldn't fight Golovkin because he'd lose, let him milk his title for a few years before he faces GGG"
That's all I hear...
