"I have three robberies I feel I had in my career"
For the Benevidez supporters; Jose's dad went to Herrera's dressing room after the fight and said they thought Jose lost and Mauricio won.
i had benavidez winning a close fight by a point i think it was
and bradley chaves a draw(with 3 very close rd's, 2 of which i gave to chaves)
both fights could swing either way, hardly a robbery in either fight
So Herrera is lying? Herrera said his father came to the dressing room and said that. Not ESPN Dan Rafael. Herrera said Benevidez Sr. said that. Plus Jose's dad was saying Jose needed a KO.
Well, both Dan Rafael and Mauricio Herrera said that Benavidez's team said something to the extent of "Benavidez lost that fight."
It could be that Benavidez Sr. figured word wouldn't get around, but now that it has, he's going on the defensive. I doubt Mauricio Herrera and Dan Rafael are both lying. They have no reason to lie, the entire boxing public already knows who the real winner is. I think there have been TKO wins which have been less clear than Herrera's victory.

A lot of people don't realize what this does to a fighter's confidence inside and out of the ring. He might do things in his next fights that he wouldn't normally do in fear of getting robbed, and get caught, or just fall out of love with the sport and not train as hard.
It's really unfortunate. I really am curious to find out if he has improved over the years, or if he's having success because his opponents are just overrated. I feel that Dallas Jr beat him, and he's lost clearly to a limited fighter in Alvarado (however to his defense, he fought the stupidest fight he could have possibly fought). But if he keeps getting robbed we'll never get to find out.
Its funny that Arum was outraged by the Bradley/Chaves scoring but said nothing about this one.
Herrera is becoming the new Fres Oquendo, he simply can't catch a break and is losing so much money with these bad calls. People might know that he won but he is not getting paid like a winner
Hope Herrera keeps his head up through all of this B.S. It disgusts me how he constantly gets the short end of the stick :nonono: Hopefully some day in the near future all his hard work and overlooked efforts pay off tenfold.
I also noticed the same thing, Jose did it in about 3-4 rounds, he would save all his stamina, then with about 15 seconds left in the round, he'd throw a flurry of punches, looks like Jr fooled a bunch of people with that shyt.

He would glance at the time

Ruslan/Herrera/Matts/Dulorme need to battle it out for the WBO belt. That would produce some good TV. Ruslan/Herrera 2 and Matts/Dulorme, winners fight each other.
Damn, this really sucks. Like Max Kellerman said, this guy should be a FOTY candidate and the major belt holder at 140 if boxing wasn't such a crooked, shit sport.
This dude is real. You can't denied he beat Garcia and Benavides. The both had the same overwhelmed look on their face.
The judges are incompetent! :nono:
We know you're the champ bruh.
Everytime they hold you down just keep fighting harder.
I don't think you get it this is boxing not some fairytale if you keep going hard you WONT will not rise above all you cant undo the damage they have done to his career. Its pretty much over for Mauricio Herrera. He is old now in boxing tough break for him AND HE KNOWS IT THAT IS WHY HE IS ALL DEPRESS
I feel for this dude. This is one of the things about the sport that really sucks. All I know is whenever he fights I'm going to support it because he deserves to have passionate fans behind him.
