That's fine, but the majority believed it was a good co-main event to Mayweather-Maidana I at the time on paper.
Personally I didn't think it was a top-level fight, just a gauge of whether Khan had anything at WW since he looked average vs. Molina in his last fight at 140 and looked bad at 144 lbs. vs. Julio Diaz in his next fight.
I thought Lopez should have been the test..The fight made sense imo,and it would have been the better test..Collazo was an ok fight,Khan Lopez at that moment would have been better..
Khan-Collazo was a good fight on paper due to Collazo's easy KO win over Victor Ortiz and Khan's inexperience at the WW limit as he was dropped by Julio Diaz in his previous fight at a CW of 144.
It was only after Khan turned in a whitewash that boxing fans labeled it a grotesque mismatch. Boxing Scene often likes to have it both ways.
you must be sh*tting me... nobody ever said Collazo was even top 20 at 147 after beating Ortiz.

Oh hell no..I never labeled this a good fight, and it was never a good fight on paper or in the ring..I lobbied for Khan to fight Lopez at that time, cause that fight would have made perfect sense and Lopez would be a liver body then Collazo who beat a shot to sh1t actor if you wanna be real..The fight was a gimmie a lay up and anyone who said anything else is lost sorry,it's just the truth..
Collazo took a L to Freddy Hernandez bro,Collazo was finished I said it then I'm saying it now..Stop please, this makes no sense..Khan has not fought a fight of note in like three yrs bro, that's a fact..
Underdog in most parts? That's definitely not true in any sense. Khan was the overwhelming betting favourite. And rightfully so. He was the favourite in general.
What beating Ortiz coming off 2 Loss's a broken jaw and inactivity was a "massive" win? Not in my eyes. Solid win considering he's near shot but hardly impressive
Again this is a guy who was comfortably beaten by Freddy Hernandez a few years ago.
Molina, Diaz, Collazo. All 3 are weak fights.
I can't believe you are seriously having this convo..It's clear as day that all 3 of Khans last fights were trash..
This reminds me of Khan Peterson all over again..Khan being greatly overrated while the other guy is being greatly underrated..Khan has done nothing(I repeat)nothing to suggest he is going to beat Guerrero let alone handily beat him..
Khan will have all he can handle against any top 10 WW..
Pac May Bradley Guerrero Marquez Brook Maidana Thurman Porter Alexander
There is not one fighter named above that I feel overly confident that Khan can beat, not one..Dude is still in rebuild mode for crying out loud..I mean are some of you serious??
Several reporters have called Guerrero's team, who deny the reports and have not had a single conversation of the fight. More fabricated information from UK press.
Damn Poppa, you let it get to 11 pages before you kill are orgasms.Jeez lmao.
Kell was stabbed in the leg and won't fight till February/March.
And?
Khan can fight him in Feb can't he?
Or take a Dec "stay busy" fight e.g Guerrero then fight Brook for his title in Feb; Brook says he'll do it.
No, he doesn't, otherwise he would make a sh*tload of money and - if he won - certainly get a fight with Floyd by fighting Kell Brook for his title next.
He ducking Brook.
Kell was stabbed in the leg and won't fight till February/March.
look lets not twist it, collazo was coming off a massive win and khan had looked **** in his previous two fights. revisit old threads. khan was an underdog in most parts. now yall saying that fight didnt mean ****.
gtfo, hate dont fool me playa

Khan fights anyone, got to give him that

Man, I don't know why Guerrero is so overrated on here. Because he beat Berto? Because he was outclassed by Floyd in a fight that shouldn't have happened in the first place? Aydin was an OK win I guess, but nothing spectacular..
That said, his inside game isn't that bad, it's certeinly good enough to get Khan's attention and he can fight dirty.
Mix these two things up and once Khan gets caught with a clean shot and gets buzzed (and it will happen because, let's face it, it always happens) we will see good, old Amir we all know and love. I don't buy this "new, smarter" version of Khan at all.
Khan has to win in a spectacular fashion to secure The Mayweather fight in May . This is why he'll lose.
Guerrero by stoppage in rounds 6-8.
Khan's people are looking at Guerrero, rather than say Brook, Alexander, Thurman or Porter, for a reason.
He's a small welter that they think Khan's new "1-2- clinch" routine can smother and outwork for a decision that enables them to get Floyd.
He's not really a hard puncher.
He's got skills and experince but he's finished, he was comfortably beaten by Freddy Hernandez a few years ago.
Plus the style match up favoured Khan massively and that's a prime Collazo let alone that version.

the fact that he has power and is a crafty veteran

I don't know. Depends on what version of Guerrero shows up. If the Guerrero that fought Berto shows up, Khan will be in for a nightmare. Because he's going to be ALL over Khan. And we see what happens every time Khan fights a relentless pressure fighter that jumps on him. But if that Guerrero does not show up, and the Guerrero that wants to try and box to win shows up, well... I don't know if Guerrero will win.
I think Guererro naturally is a boxer, that's his style to box and counter punch.
He can force the fight but it's unnatural for him I feel.
Against Berto, he came out boxing, it wasn't until he saw how easy it was to hurt him that he jumped all over him.
If he can hurt Khan, THEN it will be a rough night for Khan.
Good fight either way IMO. The sooner Guererro forgets trying to box the better for him in this fight but I think he'll give many rounds away trying.
Khan has definitely fought top guys in his career and will fight anyone. He's got a good resume and his competition level is high.
But his last 3 fights were definitely weak.
Molina, Diaz and Collazo are weak fights.
I can't fathom what made you think Collazo would beat Khan.
the fact that he has power and is a crafty veteran
Guerrero looked like he lost something in his last fight. Khan's going to batter him around.
That's probably why Khan's team are picking him.
Former Mayweather opponent, looks faded, get a win then start all the noise about "how Khan deserves Floyd; how he'll beat Floyd" etc. rather than fight Brook who he said he would fight once he had a title. . . .
Ring rust possibly.
I still think Khan wins a decision but Guererro will give it his all.
I think Guererro will get dominated and outboxed the first 4 or 5 rounds then will come on strong in the second half.
