When I first watched I thought Whitaker won but I watched and scored it again and scored it a draw. It was one of those that could go either way, like Oscar-Quartey.
Canelo might become a real good fighter but I'll wait til he's really tested. Rhodes looked no better than Jose M. Cotto did when he fought Canelo. It was not a real rise in competition. After he fights Angulo we will know for sure. Angulo been waiting at the top of the rankings for over a year, thats not right.
Chagaev vs Haye would be good. An all UK title bout(Harrison) would do good sells but it is unlikely it would be as competitive as this bout is. Harrison when he stopped Sprott was way behind on the cards. He would have to keep winning to really be viewed as a worthy challenger in my opinion.
No Mayweather has not equaled the accomplishments of Jones Jr.. And I'm afraid it's a little late in his career to do it. Most of those that might try to claim he has were not even watching boxing when Jones was a champion. If Jones had avoided Toney and Hopkins and resisted unifying all the light heavyweight titles they would be more simular.

I never thought I'd agree with you , but this is right! Valero was a two time champion that never fought as top contender, and like an artist whether good or bad, when he dies he suddenly becomes great.
Valero was untested as a fighter! And the circumstances of his death(and life) does not qualify him for false hero worship!
Sad that there that many people that don't know about the 2,000,000 fighters that fought before Floyd. Kids drop the Floyd blind following for a while and look into the history of boxing. You will be suprised to learn there were many many defensive, master boxers before this decade. Many that fought everybody there was.
When a fighter can get that many wins and two titles without being in with a world class contender it doesn't mean much. It does make me wonder why they didn't test him more? I doubt he would have gone much further fighting 2nd tier fighters and I doubt he would have beaten many of the world class fighters he would have had to face in the future. How could anyone think he could have been an ATG when he hasn't fought anyone yet.
