I stopped being interested by the outcome of the fight as soon as I realised that Maidana is not fighting with his usual gloves...
Yep typical Floyd being a *****.
7-5 Maidana, I could possibly see a draw, but Maidana won that fight.
It's pretty laughable that you some of you are giving Floyd the last 6 rounds. I was for sure that Maidana wouldn't be able to keep up the pace, but he was conditioned and fought all 12 rounds. I think a lot of you just convinced yourselves he was faded and gave Floyd the rounds. Like, how in the world do you score round 12 for Mayweather? Makes no sense at all.
I feel like most people just throw out Maidana's work to the body out the window. He kept Mayweather on the ropes majority of the fight. You can duck and dodge all you want, but you can't potshot and throw a couple jabs to the body and win the round. I thought the compubox stats were ****, and Maidana's defense was above average in this fight. If you watch again, you'll see Mayweather was missing a lot too.
Maidana really surprised me in the middle rounds .
He started using feints instead of jabs to get closer to Floyd.
Floyd ,after being battered for 6 rounds and respecting Chino's power , bit on most feints and allowed Chino to close the distance.
Chino looked like a world class fighter last night.

7-5 floyd good fight from both men chino fouth aggressive and dirty as i suspected floyd returned the favor a few times and adjusted n won the latter rounds
Floyd won it by a few rounds. Chino failed to land anything significant up top even though he was doing some serious damage to the body. A few close rounds but Floyd landed the cleaner shots overall to deserve the W.
There's 2 more things that I use to gauge points during a round.
The sound of the glove landing and cleaner shots, if one fighter is landing the same amount of cleaner shots but his are louder, I'm giving him the round.
Head-snapping and knee-wobbling also comes into account. If I see a fighter's head constantly trying to spin like the exorcist or he gets buckled once or twice during the round , he does not win that round.
I'd look at it.
Had Maidana 8-4
Rounds that could have been given to Floyd that I didn't, 4th ,11th ,12th.
edit* Oh yeah , did anyone notice Maidana not sitting down between round 11-12??
big nuts, bro.
i also want to know how you guys stay so sober that you can give scorecards you feel are competent. i was drunk as a skunk by the time collazo and khan were on TV.
I agree with the bolded, and that's why I can go as far as respect a 115-113 in Floyd's favor, although giving Maidana 5 rounds out of ring generalship alone is a stretch imo.
For the rest, I have to disagree. Maidana wasn't being effective (apart from the cut caused by a clash of heads) and wasn't landing clean shots.
You score round by round, using the 4 criteria, but the weight you assign to each is subjective.
Maidana's aggressions was effective, he manoeuvre Mayweather where he wanted and landed his shots.
Maidana landed the heavier blows and more of them, Floyd's best punch in the fight was the jab to the body.
Maidana won 5 rounds clearly IMO
And I gave Maidana a couple of the swing rounds.
Floyd only won 3 rounds clearly.
if NE says that he's going to post a scorecard, preferably when the fight comes back on his TV, will anybody care?
I'd look at it.

No robbery at all.
I had Maidana up 4-2 after six, but have a hard time giving him a round after that.
8-4 Mayweather. Close but clear.
Couldn't have said it better myself. That's exactly how I saw it
I had it 7-5 Maidana.
Could have been 6-6 or 7-5 either way. Great fight. Need a rematch.
7-5 Maidana here.
And that's cause I gave Floyd the 3rd round just cause hes Floyd.
And before anyone accuses me of bs, I don't even like Maidana.

The crude brawler Maidana gave Floyd all that he could handle and
more.
For me definitely the better fighter on the night. I just had Maidana
winning 7 rounds to 5.
Here are some punch stats.
Maidana landed more power punches in the fight 185 to Floyd's 178
and outlanded Mayweather in 6 out of the 12 rounds.
Maidana also was the ring general for most of the fight, taking the
fight to the ropes for large proportions of the fight.
He also was the aggressor, and it was effective aggression.
Maidana certainly had the better of 3 of 4 criterias of how to judge a
boxing fight.
Clean hard punching
Ring Generalship
and
Effective Aggression
I think you can give Floyd the defence part.
Which makes it all the more so troubling that a couple of the judges
scored it so wide for Mayweather.

I was honestly shocked that Showtime commentators were saying this fight was so close in the mid rounds. Based off of clean Mayweather shots, I knew the judges would have wide cards in his favor and piss everyone off.

The remotest chance Maidana had to win the fight consisted in performing a KO (or some knock downs)...
That remotest chance was swiped out as the money team denied Maidana the right to use the commission approved MX gloves -- while forcing him to use the pillow Protech gloves instead...
