Is Floyd Mayweather Jr The Most Skilled Fighter Of All Time?

In terms of pure boxing technique and ability, Floyd is one of the most skilled if not the most skilled fighter ever. He can do anything he wants in the ring based on the opponenents style. Box,fight and adapt yet never seems to get out of his comfort zone. You cannot say that about any other fighter in the last 20 years!

Yes he is the most skilled ever, reason why cause everything gets better with time, there will be an even more skilled fighter than Floyd in the near future, maybe young Cash Flow.

Today's athletes are always the best ever in every sport cuz the human body is always evolving. Nutrition gets better, training gets better. Today the best athletes are stronger, faster and higher-jumping than the best athletes 20 years ago. Lebron and Dwight Howard would beat anyone from the 80s one on one, Magic, Jordan, don't matter who. Floyd is the greatest now so he's the greatest of all time. 20 years from now we'll see somebody even greater. It'll be Floyd's little nephew maybe.

Sad that there that many people that don't know about the 2,000,000 fighters that fought before Floyd. Kids drop the Floyd blind following for a while and look into the history of boxing. You will be suprised to learn there were many many defensive, master boxers before this decade. Many that fought everybody there was.

Thing is I don't think the guys he fight are low class of fighters. Floyd just has a habit of making good fighters look like shit...Guys who would give others hell he makes look stupid. Now on the ATG thing. Pac might be the only guy he can fight that has that tag so If it comes off we'll see then. But if doesn't come off. Martinez isnt an ATG but hes highly skilled and if Floyd made him look like a fool. You know Ill be sending you a PM my dude. cool.... btw I don't think his opponent are terrible either. I say b & C class in comparison to ATG that make up a good portion on guys like Robinson, Ali, leonard etc resumes.

I agree he is impressive as a fighter, but when you face another ATG and a guy just as talented as you, your flaws become apparent and the little things you can get away with against b and c class fighters, you wont be able to do against those guys (other ATG's). Honestly burner, no one looks like Floyd because no one fights the same style that he does. Just like no one looks like Pacquiao, no one looks like Roy and so on and so on. I'm just saying in terms of dominating performances, and each person tries to beat opponents differently. Vernon laid the blueprint on beating Shane and looks just as impressive against him as Floyd did. Same with Vernon. My thing is you can't really name a fight/fights in which you can say "Man Floyd is more skilled than (insert ATG)" because he level of opposition is no where near those guys. again I'm giving him the benefit of a doubt and not saying he hasn't fought an all-time great because of him ducking opposition. If anything I just chalk it up as him not really having the opportunity, due to various cirmcumstances.

I'm just curious as to what fight/fights he has been in to make people believe that he is the most skilled? Mosley....well Winky and Vernon looked just as skilled against Shane as Floyd did Hatton & DLH......Pacquiao dominated both of those guy in a more impressive fashion. Hell you can even make the argument Pac figured out Hatton quicker as Pac was able to time and catch him early, whereas Floyd took about 7-8 rounds to land that check hook (even though steward or Letterman kept asking why he wasn't using a hook to catch ricky coming in reckless) Corrales-dude is a good fighter but nothing better than a B class opponent and no one in there right mind would have him in the top 100 greatest fighters of all time My thing is this; While Floyd has faced good opponents (I'm not gonna try and discredit his opponents....rather, I'm just keeping it real) Guys like Ali, Robinson, Duran and others dominated other ATG opponents.
