Sugar Ray Leonard.
I could have whooped Mayweather Jr. In my prime. Like I did His pops.

Btw what skirt colour has bob arum chosen for pacquiao to wear today :lol1:
pookturds worry about the richest boxer money may but don't mind arum butt fu***ng pac on a daily basis
what was leanord doing at 37 ?
Looking back on a career where he fought Benitez, Duran, Hagler, Hearns.
When you fought that many great fighters, what else is there to prove at 37?
what was leanord doing at 37 ?
Getting treated like an international treasure by the worldwide community for having faced and bested the greatest fighters of his generation. A life full of pats on the back and standing ovations.
Damn .... wouldn't have thought Ariza would be that straight and honest in his assessment.
Looking forward to Mayweather vs Maidana II
why like him or hate him he tells it like it is
Poor Floyd. I'm afraid his legacy will never recover from the "exposure" of sorts he suffered at the hands of Maidana. No fake "torn rotator cuff" to fall back on this time.. I had much higher hopes for him. As much as we want heroes; you can't make somebody what they aren't, you can't make somebody better than what they are. I doubt we'll see anyone make as much as money as he has for a very long time. Maybe that's all he ever wanted. His behavior has certainly been indicative of that. When he switched from the classic, stylish 'Pretty Boy' to the cheesy, garish 'Money' moniker I knew we had lost him.

Sorry but unless you are BHOP or Foreman age is not a significant factor in assessing greatness. No one cares that SRL lost a fight to Terry Norris, etc because he was already a G for facing the most dangerous men at/near his weight class.
Its still WHO you fight and WHEN you fought them...tho Floydboys are doing their best to change the rules for greatness.
You just defined greatness in a nutshell. :notworthy

and we must remember that Floyd fought a Maidana that was forced to fight with training gloves not his usual punchers gloves. Makes a difference both psychologically and due to the punches having a more on them.
I don't think he would have been able to duck like he did. With guys like Hearns, SRL, Hagler and the heavyweight scene the American public would be interested in watching Floyd fight cherry picks, plus he would be in no position to do so.
The dearth of an American hero in boxing gave Mayweather the platform to become what he is. Haymon saw this and made his move and meticulously planned his every steep.
If Mayweather ducked fights like this then he ends up selling crack like his old man
Floyd would have retired and wait until they all moved up a division or most probably two to be on the safe side before coming back

True. But do you have to make thread like every hour about Mayweather?
didnt srl also duck pryor for awhile then ended up low ballin him along with waiting until hagler was slowing down he was also the king of stipulations so why is this all over looked but not for floyd?
its almost like people dont know srl ducked a prime hagler and lowballed pryor even admitted it if a fighter did that now a day everything they ever did would be discredited
Judging by some of the posts that I've seen, I'm guessing this thread will be full of references to 'No Mas' or Hearns blasting Duran.
Much like their idol, Fl*mos are at their best when they're on the defensive.
You c*cksuckers are so laughably predictable and transparent. :lol1:
im not saying floyd would beat srl when both in their prime but this whole floyd would lose every single fantasy match up is ridiculous. Floyd in his prime was one of the best ever that dont mean he had no style match ups that gave him trouble but what fighter didnt
:haha: @ Mayweather cultist whining about his boy not getting a fair shake in some fantasy matchup. The irony of this is that tossers like you justify him avoiding other threats on the basis that he'd win in a hypothetical setting.
SRL would beat up Floyd, just like how he did Benitez..
Plus, SRL is more "money" than Floyd...
When SRL was the face of boxing he fought benitez, duran, hearns, kalule and came out or retirment to fight Hagler....
Floyd as the face of boxing has fought ghost, ortiz, maidana, canelo, jmm, old mosley..
Their is no comparison
SRL is to much everything for floyd
He has seen his shell
And he is better then anyone floyd fought
Floyd has ro fight withba high guard and box. Ray is too much dog.
Floyd got hit by maidana and ortiz.
Ray stop him in 9
Don't know why retired boxer's try to degrade current stock. They had their time, now sit back and STFU and enjoy the rocking chair.
Hell!!! SRR can say anything .... How's it going to be proven? Is he going to drop by Vegas and lace on the gloves?
This just goes to prove what I always state, that being an egomaniac is an integral part of being a boxer, past or present.
I can see that
