This might be the most important thing he learned from Mayweather. Dictating A side rules. Remember he had a non disclosure agreement about the rehydration clause with Kovalev that got leaked out.
Adonis Stevenson - Nov 2022
BEST JAB
Badou Jack: “He gets the jab out, the timing; he’s patient. It was a swift jab.”
BEST DEFENSE
Jack: “He had a good defense, too. He can block the punch.”
BEST HANDSPEED
Chad Dawson: “I could see his jab was very quick.”
BEST FOOTWORK
Oleksandr Gvozdyk: “He moved around the ring very well.”
SMARTEST
Andrzej Fonfara: “When I fought the first fight, he let me punch him, he kept blocking and was waiting for a good moment. He was very wise, waiting for his moment. When his moment came, he caught me and I realized everything he was doing was to wear me down. My energy was going and he knew it. He saw the opportunity, he caught me and I got up.”
STRONGEST
Fonfara: “He’s big and very strong physically. He walked around at 200 pounds.”
BEST PUNCHER
Dawson: “I could feel his power, and he also disrespected me. I said in my mind, ‘I have to finish him quick,’ before he got his rhythm.”
BEST CHIN
Sakio Bika: “I don’t think there was a boxer who knocked him out. I hit him clean, he went on the floor and he got up. He had a good defense, but he had a good chin. When you punched him in the head you felt the punch in your hands. He’s got a chin!”
BEST BOXING SKILLS
“I think Tony Bellew had good skills. He had long arms, good jab. Aaron Pryor Jr., he’s tall — this guy is 10 feet (laughs) and he’s got skills.”
BEST OVERALL
Jack: “He was a two-weight world champion. He brought the best out in me; we had a great fight.”
So best overall and best puncher were guys he either beat or were competitive with as opposed to Gvozdyk's beatdown of him?
Picking as best defense a guy you KO'd cold in 4 rounds is kind of weird. Ruddock was landing lead uppercuts at will, etc. Dokes' defense in that fight was nothing special.
Kind of like Pauli saying the one guy he actually dropped had the best chin.
If the doc doesn’t touch on his weaknesses as well as his strengths and fails to tell his whole true story, it isnt worth it.
I am no fishnets fan, but an honest doc about his arc would be amazing TV given his life.
He talks about everything. He talks about the fishnets, how he hated his mom, etc.
How exactly did Whyte look shot in the Povetkin fight? He won every single round in both fights except the one he was knocked out in. I think Fury will fight Usyk after Ngannou as part of a large Saudi deal and then retire or possibly fight Joshua for another payday.
It's obvious he's taking the easy fights for big money now. Charlo, drunk Charlo, and Spence. He's on the decline and had a decent run, so, not surprising. What's hilarious though is his supporters saying Golovkin at 35 and 36 was in his prime when Canelo fought him and very debatedly won the second fight when Canelo himself is past his best in his early 30s.
Wilder's murder chance is higher than AJ's KO chance.
Wilder can take shots as well.
Wilder can take shots but got KO'd by the guy who couldn't hurt Wallin or stop Pianeta? If anything Wilder is the one with the weaker chin between Joshua and him.
Why do people still watch Canelo? He showed no fire against Bivol, never took the fight by the horns when he was obviously losing and had a sparring session against Golovkin, a guy he said he would beat down.
Just like with Canelo, there are many interesting fights for Joshua left. Joshua has a good combination of speed, power, and fundamentals that most of the other heavyweights don't have. A fight with Wilder would be interesting. I give him a good chance against Wilder simply because I question the chin of a guy who got KO'd by Fury who couldn't even drop a washed up Chisora (same guy who got knocked down repeatedly by featherfisted Parker) and couldn't KO bum Pianeta.
Wilder didn't fight anyone with a pulse until his 30 something fight. Fury was getting dropped by Cunningham at Anderson's age. Anderson is already better than both at the same age. Time will tell if he becomes as good or better though.
Canelo Wants Bivol Rematch At 175; Feels
Fans Will Complain About Bringing Bivol Down To 168

Hmm doensn't want to bring Bivol down 1 division but wants to bring Jack down 20 pounds and wants Charlo to move up 2 divisions.
I think they're building up to a Mahkmudov fight but he might actually KO him now. The Kossobutskiy is more intriguing now since he appears to be a puncher. I would think Luis Ortiz is the next logical opponent.
When was the last time you saw a fighter move up two weight divisions to fight the best or at least 2nd best in the division for his first fight and win? The only time I can think of is Hopkins vs Tarver. This is 100% a cherrypick. And if the Spence rumors are true, that would be an even bigger disgrace.
Yes, having said that I never thought he was one of the elites at LHW. His best potential win would've been a close fight against a near 40 year old Stevenson who himself ducked any meaningful fight for years.
Triangle theories. Mosely got his ass kicked by Forrest twice, Mayorga kicked Forrest's ass twice, and Mosely kicked Mayorga's ass twice. So the idea that because fighter A beat fighter B and fighter B beat fighter C so fighter A would beat fighter C so they shouldn't fight is stupid.
Genius move. Limit all risk at all possible costs. He certainly had styles like Maidana that gave him trouble, hence the paid glove changes. I would have liked to see him against a prime Paul Williams or Margarito.
Because Wilder's resume is absolute dog shit. You can count on one hand the number of top 10 opponents Wilder has fought. This is for a guy who had double digit title defenses. Let's put it this way, as terrible as Chisora is, he's top 10 ranked in at least one ranking, Ring, TBRB, Boxrec. That means Wilder was fighting guys even worse than Chisora for his title reign.
I want to see this fight so Canelo can finally shut up the Charla fans, the 100k or so that bought his last PPV. Charla was getting hurt by that Mexican cab driver.
