Why does Ward's name keep getting brought up?? Ward absolutely schooled Froch!!! No one wants to see that again, even if it is good seeing Froch lose. GGG is a very good fight though, bombs away for 6 rounds. Get that one made
Ward didn't school Froch. He won a competitive fight, on his home turf, by a clear, but close points decision, with Froch coming on strong at the end.
The longer Andre goes without doing anything, the more his fans need to build that win up into something it definitely wasn't.
After such a long time out, and without Victor Conte in his team, how do you know that Ward can perform to the same standard as before?
If Andre himself was as confident about that as you are, he wouldn't be insisting on "tune ups" against the likes of Paul Smith.

Froch fough Ward in Atlantic City. Atlantic City is in America and Ward is an American fighter, so Andre had home advantage for that fight.
If they fought again in the UK Ward would be favourite to win, but there would be enough differences between now and then to make it interesting.
Froch has had 3 of the best wins of his career since fighting Ward, and would definitely be more fired up in front of his own crowd than he was away from home in the States.
Ward would be coming back after surgery and a long break from top flight action, and he wouldn't have Conte in his team this time.
Ward hasn't always used Victor Conte, and he has always schooled every fighter he has fought. So I'd assume that's what he'll continue to do. Chisora let himself down badly in the first fight..... massively overweight and unprofessional in his prep. He hasn't done anything to warrant a rematch. Although Chisora has been in with some big fish he will always be unprofessional and remain at domestic level. I genuinely believe Tyson has a world title in him!

Khan gives Mayweather a lot of trouble if the 2 meet, I doubt he wins but it will be very competitive! Mayweather is not a big puncher (and neither is Khan) so I don't see khans whiskers getting wobbled. Speed vs speed and Khan has got to be one of the fastest fighters out there!!

I think Groves has as much bargaining power here. If he doesn't accept Hearn's offer then it goes to purse bids. Hearn will do everything he can to avoid purse bids because every promoter around the globe will be bidding for this fight..... and we all know Hearn never wins purse bids. If Groves has to take 15% of a purse I'm sure he'll wait for another promoter to put a bigger purse on the table.

Barker is not only a top athlete, he's a top human being! I remember hearing a story where a bloke was attacked by a group of men, Barker intervened to protect the bloke and was seriously set-about by 10 men. Love Carl Froch but Ward boxed his ears off! Ward himself said he didnt expect it to be that easy or for Carl to be so slow! It made for a very boring fight! Styles make fights, and if Froch beats Groves then Kessler 3 has to happen!
Adam Booth would NOT take the fight unless he was positive of securing the win. I dont doubt for a second that he hasn't analysed both Froch and Groves, what they both bring to the table and every possible tactic they will both be able to use in this fight. Groves win!!

Haye had done his apprenticeship, fought the best. Wlad was the only step he could take. Groves has many options, he's barely taken his stabilizers off and jumps in with a big-fish that could hurt his career (depending on his performance). Martin Murray is a big tough middleweight. No doubt he will be GGG's toughest fight to date. If GGG blasts out Murray like he did Macklin, then he will be what I think he is.... the real deal!
Mark Heffron seems to have been heavily avoided.... which has lead to lengthy spell of inactivity (shame that). I remember he was supposed to be in the Irish middleweight prizefighter but pulled out due to injury. He's still very untested but I think he will have the minerals to compete at higher levels..... just like Ronnie does.
