CARL FROCH is convinced that George Groves has bitten off more than he can chew by attempting to take away his two world titles.
The pair will meet on November 23 with Froch's IBF and WBA world super-middleweight titles up for grabs.
But Froch, 35, warned: "George Groves is not ready for me. He isn't ready for this challenge because of the calibre of opposition he has had, compared to me.
"It would have been nice to see George in against a couple of top-level fighters before this fight.

Again, you are a bitter and twisted nobody so **** off your silly cunt.
you think lacy was better than abraham? why because joe calzaghe beat him? abraham has 2 top ten wins. lacy had one. abraham beat steiglitz who had 6 title defenses. lacy won a vacant belt against someone unranked. abraham was in a much deeper and tougher era and still had better accomplishments than lacy who was in a very weak era. if abraham was in the lacy/calzaghe era he would prob have 21 title defenses like calzaghe and ottke did lol.
When I watch Groves, he doesn't seem comfortable or fluid fighting the style he's come to adopt.
I think he's going to be in for a big shock when he's in there with a huge rise in class.
Agreed.
He's going with a bit of a knock-off David Haye style. Haye does it well because it's his natural style, but Groves doesn't look as comfortable and his defence concerns me. I still think Groves was fortunate to get the DeGale win fighting in the same style I expect him to try and use against Froch, that's not going to cut it.
Allan Green was shajt and Cloud isn't all that either. That's right, Mack was his name.
Listen, I'm not saying Froch has thought weak opposition, because he hasn't. Obviously much tougher than Groves.
Only reason I even brought it up was because everybody always talks about how honest Froch is etc. Mack wasn't world class, Abraham wasn't world class at SMW etc./QUOTE]
mack was a bum no doubt about it but abraham was good. he was a world champ that beat taylor and steiglitz. certainly better than anything jeff lacy ever did its just the division is much deeper right now.

The fact that George Groves was a sparring partner for Carl Froch's last opponent should really tell you all you need to know.
The only thing Groves has that could trouble Froch is his movement, but Froch will walk him down all night and if he traps him on the ropes it will be an early night.

Froch will be upset by Groves! You heard it here first. When he says Groves isn't ready, that mindset is going to take over how he prepares for this fight. He will not train as hard as he would if he were to fight Ward or Kessler because he feels he can win this fight on talent alone. Look for a Groves Victory, or a very close points decision for Froch that many call controversial.
When Froch fought him, he had KO'd Allan Green and beat Tavoris Cloud in the eyes of many. Johnson was actually very game against Froch but Froch out-manned him in a way that hadn't been done to Johnson since he lost to Bernard Hopkins in the early 90s.
By the times Groves got to him, he was just showing up for a paycheque. His fight with Bute prior to Groves was a glorified sparring session. And he also lost to some bum just directly before he fought Groves.
You're thinking of Youssuf Mack who is the worst name on Froch's recent resume but would be one of the best on Groves'. To try and imply that their resumes are in any way comparable is beyond stupid.
Yusuf Mack would be far and beyond the best win on Groves' resume and Mack is absolutely terrible.

What the hell does "honesty" have to do with it? You're picking at the Mack fight which was the only one in about a line of 9 or 10 fights in a row which you could describe as a tune-up. Froch has literally fought everyone who could be considered elite in his weight division.

I didn't say that, but he was already around 300 years old and had 50 losses when Froch fought him. It's not a RJJ 2003 vs 2013-type of situation. Groves beat him much easier too.
I can't remember his name but Froch fought a very limited fighter before Kessler II as well.

If you think Glen Johnson was the same fighter when Groves got to him, you are quite foolish.

Groves is growing into a nicely rounded fighter, a sharp boxer and physically strong, and while Froch is naturally heavy handed I fancy George can throw a more explosive single shot so, yes, Groves does have a chance in this fight. Froch, though, is one hard b*stard and it would take a huge lifetime best performance from the challenger to grab those belts.
he's already passed him by a wide margin. calzaghe never beat anyone as good as ward so why does froch have to? the rest of froch's resume completely destroys calzaghe's and froch isn't afraid to fight anyone unlike calzaghe. maybe if froch gets a gift decision against hopkins he will pass him?
your hate for calzaghe is pathetic.
your a sad cunt that needs to shape up
I like the way he's saying that he's fought nothing but world-class opponents since the Taylor-fight, and Groves has only fought bums basically.
Yet they have both fought Glen Johnson during this period.
