CARL FROCH'S trainer believes the super-middleweight WILL fight again if the money's right.
But Rob McCracken has warned Froch against a return if cash is his only motivation.
It is almost a year since Froch stopped George Groves at Wembley Stadium and both he and promoter Eddie Hearn have recently voiced doubts over his fighting future.
But McCracken suspects there could be more to come from "The Cobra" despite voicing concerns about his motives.
"If he gets the terms that he wants to fight again I think he'll fight again," said McCracken.
"If he doesn't get the terms that he wants - he's very wealthy and doesn't have any pressure on him - then he won't.

I didn't say anything about steroids, just that Ward doesn't have Victor Conte in his team any longer. The fact that you interpreted the mere mention of Conte's name as an accusation of steroid abuse speaks for itself, really.
Froch fough Ward in Atlantic City. Atlantic City is in America and Ward is an American fighter, so Andre had home advantage for that fight.
If they fought again in the UK Ward would be favourite to win, but there would be enough differences between now and then to make it interesting.
Froch has had 3 of the best wins of his career since fighting Ward, and would definitely be more fired up in front of his own crowd than he was away from home in the States.
Ward would be coming back after surgery and a long break from top flight action, and he wouldn't have Conte in his team this time.
Ward hasn't always used Victor Conte, and he has always schooled every fighter he has fought. So I'd assume that's what he'll continue to do. Conte was brought in to this because of his link to roids, no other reason to bring him in..... there are millions of good nutritionists out there and Ward has been boxing for years, he's not going to start eating burgers every day now is he. He'll do what he's always done
The main thing I took from this is that Froch-DeGale probably happens if DeGale beats Dirrell.
I really hope Dirrell doesn't mess it up, that would suck.
I don't see him fighting Ward or Golovkin, Ward is unrealistic with his demands and Golovkin isn't enough of a draw.
If he fights again Hopkins at 168 could be interesting, or move up and challenge Stevenson for the light heavyweight title if he's interesting in trying to add to his legacy.
Why would he? Why? Use some logical reasoning instead of the generic "he wants no parts"- Froch is going to train 12 weeks to chase Dirrell around a ring for pittance and a belt he's already won and vacated??
:dunce:
Dirk money talks , but so does the challange to some ppl in some part of their carrers , if all he cares about is the biggest amount of money he can keep fighthing in the domestic scene and HIS MANAGER and AGENT should stop putting out Ward/GGG names out there , because its obvious degale makes more money then them in a UK venue.
I dont see RN breaking bank just to make Ward/Froch , its not happening , no way HBO shells 15Mil for such a fight as well..
also you berate Dirrel as someone he needs to chase 12 rounds like he wont be intersted in such a fight and then you say why will he want to go to war with GGG , this is a pure contradiction..... unless what you really want to say he wants a sitting duck infront of him , if thats the case he can go on and retire , nothing for us to see with such mindset.
Well, as you asked 'why' twice Dirk how can I not answer... My main point there was more that there are no fights left for Froch, as he wouldn't wanna fight Ward or Dirrell again - for a mix of the reasons both of us have given. I wouldn't expect him to wanna rematch Dirrell, one because he would be savagely outboxed again but to be fair he wouldn't make much or gain anything from it either, so yeah why would he? Why?! Why?!?! Ward same story too unless they got him to the UK in a stadium & on PPV.
Like I said, time to retire then really - you agree?
:birthday: (sorry, I'm not as witty as you with the smileys Dirk)
"Savagely outboxed"- funny one. He may have been outpointed but you've blown that well out of proportion. And I don't think he honestly cares if he gets outboxed by either Ward or Dirrell - you can see it in his interviews, his not bothered at all.
If they paid him an obscene amount of money, he'll happily get "savagely outboxed" by either of them. There are plenty of fights left for him if the price is right.
That made me chuckle too.
But it was Dirrell who got "savagely outboxed" when he fought Froch, and there is a good chance that the same thing will happen to him again against Groves.
It was an absolute schooling and the scorecards didn't do it justice. Anyway why would we want to see someone who was clearly beaten by someone fight them again? Froch is an old man next to Ward and if anyone will be declining it's Froch. Nothing says he used steroids so that's poor! and he hasn't fought since Nov2013. He needs a pudding to shake some rust off with

Oddly enough the British judge is the only one that scored that fight correctly. As for that home turf advantage, Ward was just as far from home as Froch was. And Ward fans don't have to do anything other than tell someone as delusional as some Froch fans to watch the fight again, only this time do it with their eyes actually open. There is also nothing wrong with Ward fighting another easy touch Englishman.

Lol! Honestly are you part of his team? These sound like official statements you are putting out on Carl Froch behalf...
Yeah savagely outboxed was a bit OTT to be fair, if that fight was in America he loses every time tho. He won't be offered massive money to fight Dirrell again so lets leave that there, it wont happen for valid reasons.
Could put together a good package to fight Ward if they really wanted it tho, talk about motivation but is Froch literally a mercenary now? Ward is a P4P fighter, got a comprehensive but not outrageous win over him and gives the change to avenge the other loss on his record. They don't really want it tho coz there he would get savagely outboxed and maybe beaten up...
Did he clear £9m or was that before Hern and Sky took their slice ?
GGG is knocking out 180 pound guys come fight night, I can accept if Froch can get the same money versus the likes of DeGale and Groves then he has every right to rebuff these low balls.
It really is simple Ward and GGG represnt too much risk for the same reward as fighting guys a level below. It's a no brainier, this is on HBO to make it worth his while. GGG must be happy to continue facing guys likes Munroe and Rubio, if he genuinely wanted the big fights surely he would be calling for them such as Ward and Froch. Their was mention of a Kessler fight recently but obviously they didn't offer the Viking Warrior enough to test him either.
HBO need to be realistic in evaluating his opponents worth and also take into account the image they have created of this super destructive KO monster, though he has been fighting levels of opposition a notch or two below elite.

Lol, likkle Dirky talking like he is Froch's Michael Koncz.
Froch don't want any part of Ward. Dirrell gonna win his old IBF title and he wouldn't even wanna shadow box next to him again. Time to retire...

Froch has always maintained that if HBO put it on PPV, he'll face Golovkin. His position has never changed.

Ward didn't school Froch. He won a competitive fight, on his home turf, by a clear, but close points decision, with Froch coming on strong at the end.
The longer Andre goes without doing anything, the more his fans need to build that win up into something it definitely wasn't.
After such a long time out, and without Victor Conte in his team, how do you know that Ward can perform to the same standard as before?
If Andre himself was as confident about that as you are, he wouldn't be insisting on "tune ups" against the likes of Paul Smith.

How much does Froch believe he is worth ?
It is quite clear he can fight guys like Groves, Mack and DeGale and the Brits will pay PPV to see him, what did he average take home against in both Groves fights ?
Clearly his options are limited or he wouldn't be talking of retiring. If HBO could at least match his last take home from abroad coverage and let him take all UK revenue GGG would have the big career win needed to break into the elite, then he could headline his own PPV's potetially.
What has HBO to be afraid off ? Froch looked poor against Groves and Kessler, with Kessler nearly putting him out in the 11th and Groves schooling and dropping him in the first fight.
Unless the plan is for HBO to keep GGG at middle fighting blown up super welters, I don't see why they aren't so eager to get him a trademark win sooner, they should put the money up. Looking at Cotto and Canelo it is apparent neither will fight him as Cotto wants Mayweather and Canelo looks to want the Cotto fight. GGG is too strong at middle, he needs to challenge himself.
Froch made £9 million for his last fight. Pounds not dollars.
Why is he going to get out of his bed to fight for less than half that against someone like Ward who would just frustrate the sh1t out of him all night or Golovkin who he'll have to have an absolute war with.

I guess the LA Forum is projecting to sell out at 12,600 for Golovkin/Monroe. If GGG's tv rating gets between Klitschko's and Alvarez's, then he's about as much a ppv attraction vs Froch in Vegas as Chavez would've been.
Maybe Golovkin/Lee fight in late August in a football stadium in Limerick on prime time UK tv, then Froch/Golovkin in Vegas on US ppv come November/December.
Why does Ward's name keep getting brought up?? Ward absolutely schooled Froch!!! No one wants to see that again, even if it is good seeing Froch lose. GGG is a very good fight though, bombs away for 6 rounds. Get that one made
