KELL BROOK is ready to give up his world title shot to land a clash with bitter British rival Amir Khan. The Sheffield star has also blasted Khan for chasing a fight with pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather – telling him he does not deserve to face the American superstar.
Brook, 27, impressed on Saturday when he knocked out Ricky Hatton’s conqueror Vyacheslav Senchenko in the fourth round at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena.
The victory means the ‘Special One’ retains his mandatory position for the IBF welterweight title.
And he is guaranteed to fight the winner of Devon Alexander and Shawn Porter next year.

Hi Lacedup - Khan has fast hands his power is OK but not exceptional. He DID PUT DOWN Maidana but did not stop him,he never stopped Judah as Judah quit complaining about low blows which was nothing but excuses, in Khans 9 world title fights he has only stoppeded 3 opponents(33%). When dropped Petersen it was more a push than a punch lot of people still claim it was a push so this is debatable, I know the fight was controversial but Petersen still did enough in the 2nd half of the fight to win that one - please feel free to disagree. I agree Khan is not a powder puncher but neither is he a power hitter he has fast hands with soft whiskers and gets stopped especially nowadays. Timing beats speed any day of the week just look at the Gracia fight and Prescott fight (Prescott ain't no world beater) and Brook has good timing therefore stops Khan especially latley with Khan been so inactive and his punch reisitance destroyed by Gracia.
So Judah didn't go down for a body shot and didn't make the count? Or is that just my memory that serves me wrong? To my recollection, going down and not making the count = stopped.
He stopped Malignaggi who was in there with a prime cotto for 12 - no easy feat.
The point is, when you're fighting at that level it's hard to stop these people. Look at the guys he fought. Kotelnik, Maidana, Garcia, Peterson - they had never been stopped.
These two should really fight already..The fight makes a lot of sense, there is money there to be made..These guy's seem to not like each other as well,so it should be good..
How does this fight get made though?
I imagine Hearn will continue fronting by claiming that they made Khan an offer to fight in Bolton or Sheffield, but they will probably lowball him. Khan is based in the US now, has a major US promoter and basically holds all the aces. It's a big UK fight that I'd like to see, but I feel that Team Khan are looking at far more lucrative options than "Special" K.
As for the fight...well not wanting to sound like Dwyer here, but either Khan's glass get's smashed or Kell's beak gets broke....
They made Khan's last fight in the UK against a journeyman so this fight can be made. The problem is team Khan is a trying is secure the Maywweather fight but I don't think his team trust his chin anymore otherwise they would of pushed for the Alexander fight in December because you can then sell Khan v Mayweather to the Americans as a unification fight. I don't know how they are going to sell Khan v Mayweather in the US because of Khan's recent performance and the American boxing fan are no mugs they know there boxing. At least by fighting Brook they have a rated welterweight on his resume but they doubt his chin and a loss going forward for Khan ends Mayweather period, so know they have to also deal with a inactive fighter who will be ring rusty if the Mayweather fight by some chance happens.

He won against Peterson.
Khan can punch a little bit. He put Peterson down, cut up Garcia, knocked out Judah, stopped Malignaggi, dropped Maidana. He's not a powderpuff puncher at all. He can sting.
He's not got Matthysse power of course, but he's got good power that is increased by the speed of his punches.

Kell Brook believes that he is good as Khan after his last fight but he's making a terrible mistake;also a shot/old coming from a long retirment after a terrible ko and personal issues Hatton was doing good(ahead on scorecards)before the liver shot with Senchenko;Khan will stop Brook in early rounds,Khan is too good, too fast and too experienced for Brook no matter his glass chin infact better boxers than Brook like Barrera,Judah,Kotelnik,Malignaggi,Lamont Peterson on roids,Maidana didn't stop him. Prescott was an upset and Garcia is P4P material!!! KHAN by KO ruining Brook's dreams.
Khan has fast hand and ok power I don't know where there is evidence of power you t, alk about his power is limited. Khan has fast hands but anytime he fights someone who is 5'9 upwards he loses because he can't get abck to avoid the counter punch- all Khan's victories are fighters 5'8 down, his losses Prescott 5'11, Petersen 5'10 and Garcia 5'9.
I don't know what fight you watching as Garcia stops Khan in the 4th where is the middle to late rounds in this fight - did you actually watch the fight as Gracia broke the little punch resistance Khan had and there was'nt much.

I get confused by A&O's posts. He made reference to what he considered Pac's weakness in another post. Seems like he watches completely different fights than anyone else. Strange but i am curious to hear him out regardless.
Hi LaPETE - this seems the case - we all have fighters we defend for personal reasons but if you are using facts to back up your opinion, then at least get the facts right - to me middle to late rounds are rounds 7 - 12 or Have I got this completely wrong? - Somehow I doubt it, this proves that A&O is making up the facts to suite his argument.

I love Kahn's fighting ability and style but i hate it when he runs his mouth. I am really hoping for a Kahn comeback and would love to see him fight Brook.
I would pick Amir in this fight.
This is a toss up for me. Regardless of chin, make no mistake, Khan can punch. Even when he loses he has put a lot of folks on the deck. Go back and watch Khan/Garcia and Khan was well on his way to stopping Garcia in middle/late rounds until he got clipped. I think Khan/Kell would be a good one and someone would get KOed lol.

The Khan that fought Maidana and Judah would put a beating on Kell Brook. Unfortunately he is not the same fighter anymore and I would expect Kell to stop him mid way through the fight.
Yup, at 147 so does Khan.
Kell Brook has beaten more decent names at 147 than recent champs Alexander and Broner when they became champs, so stop that bs.

:?!: What? On his way to stop Garcia? Must've been watching a different fight then.
