AMIR KHAN wants Floyd Mayweather's crown as pound-for-pound king - whether he fights him or not.
The Bolton welterweight is desperate to face the undefeated American in September.
Mayweather, 38, claims he will retire after his 49th fight but many believe he will carry on to beat Rocky Marciano's unbeaten record which stands at 49.
Khan, 28, wants a shot at Mayweather before he hangs up his gloves as he believes he can beat him.

Uh...No You Won't! However not to be all negative, I do think Khan can beat many Welterweights like Shawn Porter, Adrien Broner, Robert Guerrero, Brandon Rios, Bundu, Sadama Ali and guys like that right now. But I think Kell Brook and Keith Thurman would take his head off and he doesn't even deserve to be in the same ring as Mayweather or Pacquiao right now.
LIKE listening to a ten year old.......difference being , you'd smile with hope , with Khan it's just ridiculous and the only hope is him being sparked very soon.
Hope's not required. There's nothing more certain... just a matter of time.

Look at all the support 'superstar' Khan gets from his countrymen in the comments section

Someone has to take the throne at Welterweight - it's either Khan, Brook or Thurman who'll do it in my opinion. They all have some excellent skills but only time will tell who'll emerge at the top.
i see somebody makes reference to naseem hamed on here, wtf is that about?
here in england we though naseem WAS a modern marvel in terms of his unique style which remains unmatched by anybody even in the ingle gym at world level. he cleaned out all the top fighters during the nineties with the obvious exception of barerra but, the good thing was that he got up whenever knocked down and would always knock the opponent out in brutal fashion EVERY time. so, this was obviously just a skin thing with whoever that muppet was because king khunt face NEVER gets up...lol
whilst naz made a fortune in the game he never avoided anybody and went to america and battered everyone with the excitement of multiple knockdowns either way which is always a crowd pleaser yet prevailed with only one exception. the hands went, power gone game over.
what a big puncher though...best feather weight puncher of i think all time.
khan will be forgotten very quickly like willie limond and one final thing...
the post on this was written by and provided by the daily star which is a british tabloid newspaper and as you can see, khunt is not referred to as a "superstar" as he is in america because he is a nobody here.
The sheer disdain and contempt you have for Khan is hilarious. Your posts on him are always an enjoyable read.

I said that about Naz. I said he was egotistical (which he was famous for) but credible. The point I was making is that Khan isn't credible. Understand?
