DARREN BARKER will fight to keep alive his brother Gary’s memory when he challenges Daniel Geale for the world middleweight title this weekend. Barker admits he nearly hung up his gloves a year ago The Londoner admits he nearly hung up his gloves a year ago after an arm injury forced him to pull out of a fight. Barker is a gent, doesn't seem to have the dodgy past like a lot of boxers do. Rooting for him though I think he might end up losing by MD.

Barker is not only a top athlete, he's a top human being! I remember hearing a story where a bloke was attacked by a group of men, Barker intervened to protect the bloke and was seriously set-about by 10 men. Barker was left unconscious, lost a lot of teeth and was left in a very bad way! Takes a hell of a man to do that! Barker is our no1 and he deserves this for him and his brother! Come on Dazzla!!
