CARL FROCH is ready for a megabucks rematch with George Groves.
Froch retained his WBA and IBF super-middleweight belts when referee Howard Foster controversially stopped the contest in the ninth round with Groves still on his feet.
The decision left Groves and most of the 20,000 crowd fuming and the challenger immediately called for a rematch.
Froch, 36, said: “Yes, let’s have a rematch and sort it out. He deserves the chance.
“I’ll give him a rematch. But I don’t have to give anyone a rematch. Click Here To Read More]
When Froch KO's him next time around (Like he should have been given the opportunity to in the first fight) and Groves is face down, arse up in la-la land, I hope the ref gives Groves the full 10 count, so we can end this bullcrap.
And i hope Jim Watt is on commentary to witness it
What an embarrassment he and the sky team and pundits are with their bias that clearly influences how viewers are seeing the fight, many were watching a different one to me, it was a close fight outwith the 1st with Groves slightly ahead, but with a clear change in body language of both guys as it progressed, the Cobra was winning on Saturday whether the ref stopped it when he did or not.
He's lost a lot of fans in one night. Maybe he's beginning to realize public opinion is against him.
They obviously weren't fans worth having, Froch did nothing wrong, ref ended it a bit early but only one man was winning that fight either way and it wasn't gonna be Groves.
Groves doesn't need to be the champ - people already saw what he was made of and he should unofficially be the champ anyways.
Why? he lost the fight, and had it continued was on his way to defeat, it was a close fight after round 1, but the tide was turning towards Froch with each passing round, he'd been connecting with body shots all fight and starting to land head shots with much more regularity and putting together flurries, while Groves was clearly being hurt by them and tiring
Froch will beat him if they fight again too, and Degale already did aswell but was on the end of an incorrect SD, something Groves fans wont admit
How anyone can be a fan of this loudmouth, pompous bum is beyond me. He is the most overrated fighter in the sport. Groves beat his ass, dropped him, hurt him several times and the ref was just waiting to give Froch that fight. I hope there is a rematch, Groves is going to knock that idiot caveman Froch out. I cannot wait for Groves or Ward to take care of this stupid idiot once and for all. I can't believe anyone thinks Froch could have beaten the great Joe C., give me a damn break.
Always been a fan of Froch and I wanted Froch to win when this fight was announced, but just the way he was so arrogant in the build up and acting enraged that he had to fight Groves who he considered 'not worthy' and 'domestic level' made me support Groves in the actual fight. SO happy to see Froch knocked on his arse in Round 1
Froch also said that he thought DeGale won the Groves fight (fair enough) and then said "and DeGale is limited". So if Degale is limited what are you Froch?
In the build up to the next fight I'd like Groves to ask Froch why he has stopped mentioning the knock-down in sparring...
He loses to Ward in a rematch, thus lessens his stock.
He doesn't get that much out of Kessler 3.
He owes Groves the rematch, the fans want it, it's an even bigger domestic grudge match now and will garner more viewers generally.
If Hearn says its the biggest fight, Hearn snr. says it's "all but essential". Froch said let's do it, if my promoter agree's, which he does. Get it done.
Watched live via internet in the U.S. The ref tweeting a "like" after a "fan"
tweets they predict Froch in the 9th, and two of the official cards had it only 76 75 for Groves they had it covered. What a ****ing scam.
How the hell does the following get buried in this article:
Foster could be in hot water after appearing to agree with a prediction on Facebook that Froch would win in the ninth round BEFORE the fight.
This writer needs to get his head outta his a-hole.
It should of been the headline.
If this is true he needs to be brought before the BBBC to account for himself.
Talking all that s**t froch an now look at u!!!!!!!!
U look like a guy who got beat an knows it talking bout i dont have to give no one a rematch f**k outta here!!!!!!!!
U were on ur way to an L son!!!!!!!!
BS stoppage!!!!!!
It's difficult to tell who a rematch will favour but I like Froch to win as he'll come more mentally prepared for a war. I think part of him felt it would be "easy work" last Saturday. Can't rule out Groves by stoppage though, he was landing the right hand consistently.
I would want to have seen a rematch even if Froch had laid Groves out. It was a great fight and it's a shame it is overshadowed by the referee's decision.
This is true.
I believe Froch is the overall better fighter but took Grooves way too lightly. Not to mention I firmly believe that the first round knockdown completely took out Froch.
I don't think he fully recovered from that punch until about the 8th round.

Froch has been heavily invested in by Sky and the whole evening was tailored to his victory. Punching on the break, rabbit punches and a weak weak stoppage!! Groves is a free-agent and they would never allow him to ruin their investment. I salute George Groves because he nearly ruined everything!!!! #LAD
Hard to believe nobody is talking about the referee agreeing with somebody elses prediction of a 9th round stoppage before the fight, if that's true it makes this situation really shady.
Really? From what I saw, the fight was inconclusive at the time of the stoppage. You must have some sort of psychic ability to conclude that Groves was going to win...
But he was ahead on the cards doe.
That's true, I wish everybody saying Froch was going to knock him out anyway would realize that.
