A prime Oscar would outbox Pacquiao and stop him late. The movement, speed and especially the jab would be too much.
A Prime Oscar is B+ fighter according to Whitaker.
http://insidesports.ph/boxing/whitaker-says-dela-hoya-b-fighter-during-his-prime/
He wont be able to stop Pac.
What a joke manny number 2 and number one feather??hahahahaha tyson second greatest heavy? hahahaha alot of dumbasses voting
Pacquiao may be greater than Willie Pep overall but he is not a better featherweight than Willie Pep.
Just like Armstrong is a better fighter than Duran, but not a better lightweight.
Segmenting greatness by weight class is dicey.
Why not?
Manny was undefeated at 122-126 and all of his wins by KO/TKO.
Which one would you take: Being the GOAT or 50 million dollars
Assume you are boxer A. There are two fights available. One with boxer B and the other boxer C.
If you beat boxer B, you will be considered as the greatest fighter of all time and no one will ever question you for ever.
The other fight is with boxer C, beating him would be considered as a good win, nothing more. However, you will pocket 50 million dollars straight up.
Which one would you take: Immortal fame or Money
Hmmm...
Similar to this?
Pac vs. Pavlik - for the GOAT
or
Pac vs. Mayweather - for the money
I'll take the $50 million.
Exactly. And, for that reason you can not bump Pac that high for this victory. I mean he would get credit. But, should not be top 5, or top 10 all time kind of credit.

It’s an unlikely scenario for Manny Pacquaio to win a Hatton fight but not entirely inconceivable. If the marginally possible became the recently occurred, it would be the sort of achievement that could become truly transcendent; this generation’s Henry Armstrong triple-crown.

According to Cliff Rold...
Many a fan has asked the question: what would it take for a modern fighter to make a run at Sugar Ray Robinson’s hold on the mythical top of the sport’s all-time ratings? It may be the answer is nothing. If not, the answer is that we are witnessing it in our time. On Saturday night, with a frightening precision, the same Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2, 37 KO) who came from behind on December 4, 1998, to knock out lineal and WBC World Flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul in the eighth round with a single punch, walked through lineal World Junior Welterweight champion Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO) in one second shy of six minutes. In doing so, Pacquiao became only the second man to make title claims in six weight divisions and the first man ever to win lineal World titles in four weight classes.

Wow! I can't believe you brought this thread back. I think that many of us can agree we were wrong about who Manny could beat. Even though, his resume would have looked a lot better without the catchweights.
If Pac had fought Berto back then he would be accused of cherry picking the weakest beltholder.
On the ESPN scroll on the bottom of the screen...
Ring Magazine Welterweight Rankings
1. Shane Mosley
2. Miguel Cotto
3. Antonio Margarito
4. Joshua Clottey
5. Manny Pacqiao
your opinion
Damn! Pacquiao cherrypicked all the fighters above him.
If Mayweather Jr. doesn't fight Manny Pacquiao then...........
he should fight PWILL.
PWILL ducked clottey to fight the draw at WW.
Floyd is the bigger draw - ellerbe
Keep the money in the house.
If JMM and Pacman fights for the third time at pacman best weight 145lbs, it will surely make JMM lost hi mind if he will hit by Pacmans best shot again.
Hehehehehehehehehe
Co-sign. PAC by an easy knockout.

BulllSheeeeeet lol
Margo was weight DRAINED get it !
KOED , 2 yrs out , 1 fight at 154 where he looked like crap , cant get an American licence to box but Arum gets it , needed diuretics to make 150 , 8oz gloves in a 10oz division , 26 ft ring .
You dont see the stacked deck in this fight , off course not , you been a boxing fan how long ? you got to understand a little bit about the workings of a fighter .
See the similarities? Lots of excuses.
Margarito was relentless when he fought Pac. Some people say Pac was never the same after that fight. How would Mayweather do against that Margarito?
Similar to Tyson vs. Foreman
Where's the factual article on this again?

All we really have that is supporting Floyd are his nuthuggin fans. Nothing is coming directly from Mayweather so why keep bringing his name up. He doesn't want to fight. His fans argue for him so lets just keep his name out of the boxing for now. Thanks
Please be patient. They are slowly turning into piss brigade.:rofl:
Cotto isn't going to fight Martinez. And whoever believed Pac was going to fight him? Pac at JMW was a hit and run.
That's the same **** Roach said after the De la hoya fight.
Sergio's marketability to the casual boxing fans is still in question. Its a good business move for Arum to put him first against a big name like Cotto or Margarito before putting him in the same ring with his cash cow.
I think Pac might move up again if the price is right.
Why is Manny ducking Kell Brook that's what i want to know.. there is no doubt in my mind Kell beats Mosley, Clottey, Cotto
