I see Whitaker winning at 135 and 140, but i think at 147 i can see Pac winning by Split decision. Because it will be like Whitaker landing clean blows and jabs, but pac scoring points for aggression even if the blows are partially blocked. It would be like the scoring of the DLH fight in which many thought whitaker won; but the judges scoring for perceived activity and late round flourishes.

Do the math: If Fighter A lands 20% of 80 punches then he outlands Fighter B who lands 50% of 20 potshots. Pernell was compared to other great defensive boxers before him. But Pernell never fought someone as highly rated as Pac. So Pac by decision or late stoppage.

Whitaker is getting overrated badly here. He got a Ud over chavez. (well, they called it a draw) Whitaker is slippery and had good defense - but he doesn't have half the offensive capabilities of Pacquiao, nor the hand speed or even foot speed. Whitaker get's a lot of praise here, but there isn't anything amazing that the man did, other than avoid punches and look good doing it.
