It would signed within 90 days of his funeral.
It would be lovely if it was signed during his funeral. All the baggage that has prevented the fight from happening would be buried along with Arum.
what a ****ing fight make the rematch happen please in Canada
Really? You want to see a rematch? Bute got murdered and had no answer for the onslaught of punches from Froch.
Who cares?! Both will get Hammer Timed not long after each retires. Floyd will be done in by his gambling problem and/or the inevitable divorce settlement with Ms. Jackson, and Manny will be done due to his generosity and bad investments.
I think he ends up with about $10-12 mill. And I on't think any of his ended any better The match just doesn'tadd up,and he's a notorious exaggerator and liar.
That is just as ludicrous as the $85 mil. Floyd is putting up $10 mil to promote the fight and you're saying he's not going make anything in return but a mere $2 mil in profit at most? Come on! I would say he's more in the neighborhood of $45-$55 mil range. After taxes he could be pocketing about $30-$35 mil.
I don't get why USADA would risk their reputation over something so small to them. All they have is their reputation and if they get involved in a scandal like that would kill them, and more so fuck the whole anti-doping movement.
For what one guy who is at the end of his boxing career that is about to go to jail? I guess if you want to believe in crazy conspriacies go right ahead~
Exactly. I rarely comment on these boards because of the lack of logical thinking from most of these posters who, like Montoya, love to form assumptions from baseless allegations. How can you consider someone like that to be credible when his opinion is purely based on nonsensical heresy that likely comes from people who have a vendetta against GBP and/or Mayweather? There's a reason why other media members haven't picked this up.
Pac and Mayweather were already huge stars before DLH retired
Wrong. They were not on DLH's level yet. Both had their strong followings, sure, but it wasn't until they each fought Oscar that they truly became known commodities outside of the sport of boxing.
Very well said. Those claiming boxing died Saturday night have never been real fans of the sport and don't know any other boxers outside of Manny and Mayweather. I respect both of them equally, but boxing is bigger than they are and will outlive them both.
Couldn't agree more. These people declaring boxing a dead sport because Pacquiao suffered his 4th official loss are not real fans. Boxing doesn't start and end with Pac (Or Mayweather for that matter) and it certainly won't disappear even when he retires.
Man, I know how you feel. I was discussing the Ortiz fight with my father while we were watching FNF and he still thinks there was foul play involved in the outcome. Mind you, he's a long time boxing fan who has seen far too many robberies so I couldn't just brush aside his argument, no matter how ridiculous it is. He ultimately agreed with my point that there were so many variables that led to the outcome of that fight for it to had been staged. Mainly I pointed to Ortiz trying to intentionally headbutt Mayweather as evidence that the fight could not be rigged, because why would Mayweather risk suffering a career-threatening injury (and a mega fight with Pacquiao) by letting himself be headbutted simply to justify sucker punching a guy that he was easily dominating.
No outcome is predetermined. Especially inside a boxing ring (unless is fixed, of course). Cotto has a slim chance. But either way, if you're not interested, you don't have to watch it, although I'm sure even the haters are gonna tune in.
For the most part I hate HBO commentating, think they need to have more people who have been actively involved in the sport ( People like Foreman, Jones, Leonard, Hopkins) as opposed to a bunch of twats who are just so detached from what is actually happening.
Foreman and Jones are awful. I don't mind Lampley as much, but Merchant's gotta go. Same goes for Lederman. Kellerman is a much better analyst and interviewer and the only one worth keeping around.
There's not much he can say, really. If anything, the only angle he has is to talk up the fight as being better than the Pacquiao-Cotto fight because there's no catch-weight. So, unless there's some drama within the Mayweather camp like in the 1st episode of 24/7 May-Ortiz, there won't be no trash talking from Floyd. Which is really disappointing.
This dude needs should live up to his nickname and disappear. Why doesn't he first take a tune up fight to prove that he's actually 100% and he won't be at risk of re-injuring himself before calling people out? Stop begging already or else you won't be able to wash off that stench of desperation that will keep you away from a hefty paycheck.
The rant Floyd made about Manny was racist. This tweet about Lin is just ignorant, though not entirely off base. Lin deserves to be recognize for what he's doing, and his ethnicity as well as his skills has been strong factor in his incredible rise in popularity. He's a freaking Asian dude who has played incredibly well in the last five games in a league that all but wrote him off because he didn't fit the mold of the NBA's preferred player type (i.e., black and athletic). That is just the mentally of the league and you gotta give Lin all the credit in the world Lin for breaking through that mindset and making the most out of this opportunity.
All that being said, the mainstream media needs to calm the hell down. Linsanity is just too much hype. 5 games against mostly poor competition is not that big of a sample to gauge just how good a basketball player Lin will matured into.
The guy is genuinely enthusiastic about the sport, I'll give him that much. Also, I like the fact the he's still talks Floyd/Manny even though the fight is dead. Boxing fans and so-called boxing experts are too jaded -- and rightfully so -- about this fight, but Seckbach is out there keeping the hope alive.
Valid argument. But you can just as easily discredit every notable win for all other P4P guys, so it's just a matter of opinion. Personally I have Ward ahead of him at #3.
