Why are Floyd fans so concerned with how much Floyd or Manny make?
It's baffling that a bunch of unemployed, welfare collecting internet fan boys are so concerned with the money boxers makes as if it some how elevates their lifestyle.
BTW this is not a shot at the TS as he is just questioning a ridiculous claim by Ariza. My comments are me speaking in general as I always see Floyd fans boast about Floyd's earning.
I have no idea how much money Mayweather made. No way for me to know.
But Mayweather would make more than usual because he's basically his own promoter. So he gets a cut out of everything from popcorns to t-shirts.
Of course he then most likely pays his people. Ellerbe, Roger, Haymon. These guys does not work for free.
It's a sad state of affair though where people brag how much money "their fighter" makes. It used to be bragging about how tough they are or how skilled. Now it's how much money they have. :lol1:
Even if he DID make that much? So what?
Why are people somehow offended by someone's earnings? <__<...wtf lol
If he made that much, more power to him. And if he didn't? Who cares? lol
Mayweathers in there purely off of 1 fight he easily clears the list wayyy above pacquiaio fight for fight pay
Ah you have to consider that for the next year. which we can debate again once forbes make a list for may 2012- may 2013.
Right now pac is still making new money for 2012 - 2013. Chaching!
Not to mention he has a fight coming too ;)

Looks like Manny's fights with Shane and Marquez
vs Floyd's fight with Ortiz? That obviously doesn't include the Cotto fight, because he made "85 million" according to Ariza :lol1:

No you imbecile the 32mill was before the ppv and also I know floyd said in espn interview hes getting 20mill fromsponsoships vs marquez, the 25mill cotto was just a realistic rumour
You're right in the sense that the once the numbers all come in that the PPV $ will add to his 32 million guarantee. So yes, it is before the PPV. But it also includes the PPV as it is based on how it is anticipated to sell. That figure is Guaranteed by Floyd himself. Nobody is paying him that 32 million; he is guaranteeing to himself that he will not make any less than that amount.
If you don't think that part of that 32million is from the PPV money, then where do you think that money is coming from?
The PPV $ is not "in addition to" the 32, does that make sense? I feel like I'm not explaining that properly
32 MIL is his guarantee NOT his base salary. That includes all sources of revenue. Where do you think the 32 million is coming from? It comes from PPV. Other fighters, Pacquiao for example, get a BASE salary, plus PPV and gate receipts.
Let's say the fight made generated 125 mil, 85 mil is roughly 2/3 of the total revenue generated.
Nobody takes that large of a percentage.
Floyd puts his own money up front to cover expenses. So even if he did make, let's say 60mil from the fight. That's still a return on 20-25 mil of the money he put up.
So even IF his cut was 85 mil, which it isn't. You would subtract the initial investment he makes, and then the money to pay his team, cotto, other fighters, santioning body, etc. So even if 85 mil is the percentage that goes to Floyd, again, which it is not, he'd take about 60 mil. Not a bad payday, but not 85 mil.
If 1.4 million or 1.5 million fans buy the fight — which is expected — Mayweather will make about $40 million, Schaefer said
^^This was stated about the Ortiz fight. But I'm guessing that applies to all of his fights, based on the context in which it was said.

Also, I don't think Floyd has sponsorships that pay out, but I could be wrong. However, if he did, it wouldn't be no 25 mil gtfo

its not unreasonable he was guaranteed 32mill + 25mill from sponsorships, its not unreasonable to think he got 30mill from payperview + gate

Mayweathers earnings are fake
You keep saying "Mayweather earned 50 mil" but you don't count in the fact that he promotes his own fights, compared to Pacquiao. So there's expenses Mayweather has that Pacquiao does not. Pac's earnings are set, whereas Mayweather has to dish out cash out of that 50 mil he earns becuse he promotes.
I dont think theres any arguement that Mayweathers earnings are in a different bracket to what Manny makes just add up their last 5pay days its not even close
Mayweather got 40 mil from Mosley and another 40 from Ortiz and then 85 mil from Cotto.
Pacquiao still owes Bob Arum
You know the drill.

That literally has zero relevance when you are one of the highest paid athletes in the world.

I think he ends up with about $10-12 mill. And I on't think any of his ended any better The match just doesn'tadd up,and he's a notorious exaggerator and liar.
That is just as ludicrous as the $85 mil. Floyd is putting up $10 mil to promote the fight and you're saying he's not going make anything in return but a mere $2 mil in profit at most? Come on! I would say he's more in the neighborhood of $45-$55 mil range. After taxes he could be pocketing about $30-$35 mil.
