Aj dodged a bullet missing the Rico fight.
Styles makes fights, big explosive punchers like AJ, Zhang, Dubois are all wrong for Rico, he won't be able to handle the power.
The Joshua-Wilder fight was signed and was about to be announced after the "tune-up" Wilder-Parker fight. Wilder lost.
Before that Wilder had plenty of opportunities to make the fight including 3-fight 100M and 4-fight 120M deals. He turned all offers down.
Now Joshua fighting Wilder before Fury was never offered by the Saudis & Netflix.
Fury-Joshua is a two-fight deal, easy tune-ups for both in the summer and then the mega fight in Q4.
Usyk said he wanted Wilder after Fury had already dethroned him with a KO. While Wilder was prime and KOing everyone, Usk was fighting at CW.
No, it was around the time Usyk was about to make his HW debut, towards the end of 2019. Wilder-Fury 2 was in February 2020.

Yeah, but you beat the best while they are still near or at their best, not after they've been through career-ending wars. Wilder's been washed up for nearly six years. He's lost four of his last six fights, with the two wins vs his sparring partner and an unknown.
Usyk wanted to fight Wilder 6 years ago, Wilder wasn't intererested. It was never going to happen while Wilder was in his prime, back then he was ducking almost all serious challenges.
At least Usyk is consistent, he's wanted that fight for a long time.
I doubt Tyson got just $15M for the fight, it reportedly did crazy numbers on Netflix. His actual purse is probably more like 3x that.
And he did not buy this mansion for himself, he bought it for his family, and I doubt it was a decision taken by him alone.
"No I won't fight Itauma. He's young, always teasing me. And he said himself he doesn't fight grandpas. I'll fight until I'm 41. Then I'll build a sports academy - I'll train there and train others."
It's official. Usyk is ducking Itauma.
Usyk was asked who he is fighting next. He said he is not fighting Ituama and cannot say who's the opponent as negotiations are ongoing.
Fraudy ducking Joshua and the rest of the top heavyweights "til dis day".
AJ, Dubois, Zhang, Bakole all stop him and he knows it, Parker beats him too.
He's not packing glass but he's an old man and he's no longer on the juice. His punch resistance as well as his stamina, reflexes and speed are nowhere where they were 5 years ago, which is the reason Wilder "took the risk" to fight him. He got dropped by Hammer, it's safe to say he gets KOed by most of the top guys (besides the top 3) like Ruiz, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Usyk, Rivas, etc. It's not even about chin anymore, he just doesn't have the stamina to last 12 rounds against the top guys.
Say what? :lol1:
Povetkin wins:
H. Fury
Hammer
Takam
Price
Duhauapas
Wach
Perez
Chagaev
Byrd
Chambers
Charr
Huck
Rahman
Ortiz wins:
Hammer
Scott
Jennings
Thompson
Povetkin has one decision loss and one KO loss to two higher rated champions than the guy Ortiz lost twice to by KO.
GTFO telling me anything about Ortiz being ranked higher than Povetkin. There's zero comparison between the two.
But Luis "King Kong" Ortiz was a great amateur with a record of 349 wins and just 19 losses! Oh wait, Povetkin was Olympic and World champion, while Ortiz never even qualified for the Olympics and only reached quarter finals in World Championships.
Fake "news" from fake "insider".
Klitschko would not fight Usyk. Usyk is a friend and compatriot of Wlad and he's signed with K2 Promotions (Klitschko brothers company).
And Wlad vs Briggs, come on...
This is just an interview with Pulev and nothing official.
Pulev says Sauerland are negotiating with Joshua behind his back and without his consent, just being interested in their commission and not in a "victory" (the outcome of the fight). According to him his communication with Saurland and their boss has not been good for quite some time and they are not on the same page. He says he needs at least 3-4 months to prepare as this is a world championship title fight.
I doubt DAZN will be paying Wilder 25M to fight Breazeale. The offer is probably to fight Whyte & Klitschko (or Usyk) and Breazeale will be offered a lucrative step-aside deal. I don't think Wilder would fancy a deal like this, he knows what his chances are...
We know a lot of Wilder fans are a bit slow and have reading comprehension problems but come on. The following are Wilder's words from his post-fight interview, not Joshua's:
"This fight will happen. The big fight will happen, I promise you that, with patience, come time, and I just want you guys to have patience and give us a little time to make this thing happen so we all benefit from it, not only just you fans. We risk our lives in here so we want to make sure we get the best and the most money that's possible."
"We're risking our lives. The head is not meant to be hit in the first place so let us get our time to iron out all the differences and you guys will know when that happens."
1. Deontay and fury shared the 2nd biggest ever heavyweight title fight PPV in history selling an incredible 3.3 million PPV's. I thought it was 300'000 but I have been corrected. Thank you to BSTV for that one.
Turns out Deontay was a bit on the conservative side when he predicted the fight would do 2.5 million PPV buys.
desperate attempt to deflect and place all blame on wilder
I'm just quoting Wilder, and it's a desperate attempt to save face.
but what should i expect from fans of a guy whos own hero said he was ducking and previously offered wilder 12.5 million when AJs own network came in and offered him more than that to fight d breezy LOL
That was a good initial offer for a fight in the UK where the pot would have been around 50M. The offer was eventually improved to 15M which was about 10x what Wilder was making on average at the time. If that is a lowball offer or "crackhead money" then what do you call the 1M-2M per fight Wilder was getting paid?
20M for Breazeale is crazy and is a sweetener for the 80M AJ fights offer, which is even crazier. They are overpaying Wilder massively, that's how much they want the fight. They made an offer he couldn't refuse, yet he still did.
all wilder is saying is taht when they come correct, 50/50 like hes asking, it will get done....
Fortunately, we live in the real world, not in the alternate reality where Wilder and most of his fans live. And in the real world Joshua has 3x the belts, is 5x-10x the draw and has fought better opposition.
To quote Wilder: "In boxing, unfortunately, it doesn't work that way."
Just ask Floyd about the 50/50... :lol1:
Ortiz just a couple of months ago when there was zero chance of the fight happening:
https://www.boxingscene.com/luis-ortiz-joshua-if-miller-work-out-im-available--136013
"If Miller Doesn't Work Out - I'm Available!"
“So look, if you want to fight I’m here and stop saying I priced myself out because I’ve never had no offers to fight you. With all respect to you for all you have done, I’ll fight you for just about any money you offer me so if you can’t work out the Miller fight, I’m here and ready. I’ll fight you in the USA or UK. It’s on you and if you think you’re that good and want to test yourself who better than me? Wilder and Fury are not available and I believe in my heart to be the best you must face the best."
Now when he's basically being handed the fight on a plate and offered over 10x what he made fighting Wilder, the so-called boogeyman of the division is pricing himself out. Just another fraud who talks a big game but starts demanding lottery money when shıt gets real.
Pèrez was nothing compared to ortiz...
Ortiz that fought wilder would have dominated Andy he's just too old
Well Perez did beat Ortiz in the amateurs and at the time he lost to Povetkin he was highly regarded.
People seem to think Ortiz suddenly got old now, he was already pretty old when Wilder fought him, most probably in his mid-forties. Hammer dropped him too so his punch resistance was gone already back then.
Just look at their resumes, not even close, neither as pro nor as amateur.
Povetkin would have outboxed him and KO'ed him, too fast and too skilled.
Have a look at the Mike Perez fight, he was another slick skilled southpaw Cuban with extensive amateur background and he actually beat Ortiz in the amateurs.
I actually speak Kazakh. He actually said "bloody rat". The interpreter was dumbing it down for the camera.
He speaks in Russian and says "мышь рыжая", which would translate to "ginger mouse".
I've just checked. It's on DAZN for 170 countries that includes the US.
Just type "Is Joshua vs Usyk on DAZN in the US?" into Google and it's the second link that comes up for a DAZN piece.
That's for the first fight, not the rematch.
Whyte is a stylistic nightmare for Fury and he's going to expose, embarrass and batter the Gypsy King. Fury can neither dance and run around Whyte nor can he brawl and go to war with him. Fury simply won't be able to handle the pressure, aggression and violence that Whyte is going to bring.
Anyone who thinks this is an easy fight for Fury or that Fury is levels above Whyte and the rest of the top heavyweights is either a delusional Fury fanboy or simply doesn't know shit about boxing.
Fury is already talking about retiring after the fight and the real reason is he knows what Whyte brings to the table and is aware the chances of losing are quite high. And being the fake spartan he is, he'll use the retirement excuse not to rematch Whyte as he knows Dillian has his number.
