With all the speculation round ward and the fact froch only lost by 2 rounds to him. Where does this rank froch in the P4P lists if he beats groves???
:slap::slap:
I've been waiting for this since August..
I hope it's not an extreme in it's nuthuggery of Leonard
me too. no one brings up the size difference and duran widely regarded better p4p. they makeduran look like a favorite and that leonard was soooo brave taking him on
i hope its not all leonard hero worship and they speek the truth. yea its durans fualt if he wasnt prepared( he didnt look it physicaly. but people talk about no mas as if it settled the score somehow betwween them. i bet even lleonard was dissapointed with the outcome
not very greats skills(when compared to his athletic gifts)
one of the most gifted athletes of all time tho
but i think his lack of fundamentals up to par with his gifts was a weakness
too much back ing straight up ina and out. didnt really know how to fight in the pocket but it didnt matter with him.
its a shem he didnt have opposition on his level ecept fot toney who stylewise plays right into toneys game
I swear, this generation fkin blows. Sad that we gotta live thru this.
We got f@gs on TV on that dumbass Catfish show. Then we have ads on freaking TV for some gaypeoplemeet.com type bullsh1t and the list goes on.
If you're gay you're gay. It's nobody else's business. If you're proud of it good on ya, everybody already knows that you're a f@g so stop being so flamboyant about it.

calling some one a f@g is like calling someone a spic or a niigger
watch were u say that
Garcia -lose but eciting fight like matty
Lucas - throws much shorter punches. his chin will really be tested though toss up
Khan - late round tko
Peterson - tko
Jmm - right now lose 1 or two years from now hell finish the job diaz started
skills. its hard to watch guys without them.
but i really enjoy agressive skilled pressure fighters. there arent any these days it seems
canelo would have been better suited against may had he know that hes not may or srl he is built like hagler
but really i like fighters that understand that they have to fight a certain way to win
it is anoying watching a guy who doesnt have the tools or fights the wrong tactical fight. with all the film on every fighter ever being on the internet nowadays ud think thesse guys would study a bit more.
durans my fav
was the best of em p4p
2. hagler was the best head to head(prime)
3. hears was the best puncher best jqab
4. leonard was thwe smartest he beat em all and he was tne fastest also
He don't fight for bob. And if he did he wouldn't cause he doesn't put named on ppv undercards. Stubborn old man builds em up on reg hbo, he is so stuck in his ways he can't put one decent fight before PAC-rios. A good undercard can turn a 800k ppv into a 1-1.5 mil.
I've been a member of this site for a few days now and it is obvious that a number of other members have a great knowledge of the sport. This led me to thinking, as so many of you are from various parts of the world and spread across multiple age groups, who are the best fighters you have seen in your life times? Only pick the top 10 or 20 that have actually fought while you have been alive and you have actually seen, whether it be live or on TV.
My own list stretches as far back as 1970.
1. Muhammad Ali
2. Ray Leonard
3. Roberto Duran
4. Julio Cesar Chavez Sr
5. George Foreman
6. Marvin Hagler
7. Joe Frazier
8. Carlos Monzon
9. Pernell Whitaker
10. Jose Napoles
11. Tommy Hearns
12. Bernard Hopkins
13. Nino Bienvenuti
14. Bob Foster
15. Larry Holmes
16. Michael Spinks
17. Alexis Arguello
18. Miguel Canto
20. Mike Tyson
Ali for me is the greatest all round fighter I ever saw and is most definitely the most thought provoking athlete I have had the pleasure of meeting. In the ring he was as smooth as silk, there is no one who comes close to a prime Ali and when he got older he worked on his inside game, he started to sit down on his punches more and learned to fight. He was a street fighter with the looks of a movie star. There is clear day light between him and everyone else.
Leonard is a distant second, his all round skill made him the best of the fab four, his ability to fight and box allowed him to beat every great fighter put in front of him at least once. His demise was slow and sad. Duran was ferocity personified, much like Tyson.
I'd like to know how many of you have heard of Miguel Canto, the best "little" fighter I ever saw. He was sadly underrated in his own time and seems to have disappeared from our collective conscience. What do you guys think?
i never get it when leonard is ranked higher than duran p4p
"Isn't it dangerous?"
Me: yea so?
"Why do u like boxin?"
Me: that's like Askin me why I like tit$
But my whole family likes the fights so I don't get dumb question from them
I'm 45 and have been watching fights since the mid 70's. My top twenty is based on skill, resume, and box office appeal and star power and historical impact on the sport, along with entertainment value leading up to the fight and during the fight. With that, here we go...
20. Shane Mosley/Miguel Cotto (tied)
19. Real Deal Holyfield
18. Lennox Lewis
17. Sweet Pea
16. Chavez Sr.
15. B Hop
14. Marvin Hagler
13. The Klit Brothers
12. George Foreman
11. Oscar De La Hoya
10. Manny Pacquiao
9. Roy Jones Jr.
8. Joe Frazier
7. Roberto Duran
6. Thomas Hearns
5. Larry Holmes
4. Mike Tyson
3. SRL
2. Muhammad Ali
and #1 is....
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
I was gonna question Duran lower than leoard but then I saw Floyd no1 and Tyson no3
So...... Yea
I got Ruslan beating Rios, he has better foot speed and faster hands, he won't have as much trouble getting to Rios
It just goes down to what round does the fight get stopped in, I'm gonna say 8th or 9th round TKO
better power too
i think ruslan is more tested too
this fight would be so good hope arum makes it and i think he might
cause ruslan beating rios boosts popularity if rios wins it gets rios back on track an rios personalty sells
i think rios would do better than most would
you're correct..the loss to prescott can be explained as he was still in the learning process..just like pacman's 2 early losses
the loss to Lamont Peterson was a robbery the ref favoured peterson....haters must be blind not to see it
the loss to Garcia..was foolishness on Amir's part...he dominated the first 2 round and got c0cky and Garcia caught him with a LUCKY SHOT..
im 100% sure Khan would beat Garcia in the rematch...Khan is a much more skilled boxer than Garcia..and Virgil must have improved his defence by then.
Much respect for this thorough and informative article
wtf???
not at all just faster and taller
dont put khan and skilled boxer in the same sentence
its an insult to skilled boxers
